@@Ryanfinder226Well said very true. Although I understand Ceasar's reasons for only one uniform identity and culture within his Legion. Personally, I think the Legion would try, or greatly benefit, from the integration of the Vipers. In lore, they have a resistance to venom, handle and venerate mutant snakes, and mutualize poison in many of their weapons, such as bows, even taking down a Brotherhood Elder. Even their “God” is monolithic, so integrating them into another monolithic religion based on war could be easy. Although they are endangered by the events of New Vegas, the knowledge they carry can definitely help Frumentarii in their espionage and assassination endeavours, for example.
I love the real original Vipers. Not the shadows of their former selves we find in New Vegas. There's a cool a.f mod called Venomous Vipers for New Vegas. Lore specific mod that gives them their original snakeskin and bone armour. Bone bows and venom tipped arrows. You can join them , and the mod also provides some side quests for the tribe apparently. If they were reformed proper in their true tribal form in F5 maybe. I'd hate to see them get wiped out or assimilated by anyone. I think they are one of the most interesting and legendary tribes in Fallout. Like them and the Jackals were one of the very first tribes made in Fallout. I'd want to see them survive into Fallout 5.
I distinctly remember a moment in a New Vegas Playthrough where I actually got to fear the legion. I'd downloaded some immersion mods and was sitting at the poseidon energy gas station near el dorado dry lake. It was night and I was with Boone and ED-E and decided to roleplay a little bit where my character sat at the campfire there where a prospector spawns(?) and while I was just letting my character relax and eat, a Legion Assassin party arrived but they didn't start fighting. The decanus guy announced the battle, telling me to prepare. Scared the shit out of me but it was a totally plausible thing that could have happened in-universe to an enemy of the legion.
