The Maxsons aren't very good in making sure their family line continues by having one offspring in each generation. If Arthur wasn't victorious against the deathclaw and it ended up taking him out, the family line would have died.
I can only imagine the only reason this being the family policy is to prevent fatricide if 2 Maxson brothers (and their future descendants) have a dispute on who should be leading the order. There's no winning in this I guess.
If only Roger Maxson had established proper foundations for his organization and a proper leader, the brotherhood would’ve been viewed quite highly among wastelander’s and more willing to cooperate with them.🐱
Roger Maxson really reminds me of the emperor from WH40k in a way. Both were great leaders with ideals to lead their people to do the greater good for mankind, but somewhere down the line their inheritors really misinterpreted these ideals and have forgotten what they were fighting for in the first place.
The last bit didn’t happen with the Brotherhood of Steel since none of the chapters have lost sight of the need to procure and safeguard advanced technology.
It’s not unpopular since despite his genocidal nature tendencies towards synths, he is actually a great and noble leader. Also with the destruction of the Institute he probably mellowed out on synths by the time of the show.

@@venator-fb7yy kinda like lutenant dan
Well the Maxsons are clearly more interested in being badasses and letting fate decide.
Who knows, come year 3000 the Brotherhood might view Maxsons as a royal lineage de jure.
Todd: write that down, write that down.
Oh it is going to happen long before that.
That video played along with Maxon's brotherhood mission statement was really edited perfectly. 10/10, no notes.

That wasn't the objective Roger founded the Brotherhood, at least not originally.

Fallout: Crusader Kings
> died of cancer in his 90s
Are we sure he died of cancer? Considering all that he went through, man's heart probably gave out.
I kind of wish Arthur was romanceable
The republic of Dave, all I have to say
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but i really like Arthur Maxson, i agree with his ideals wholeheartedly.

I find it weird that the Commonwealth is the capital of the BoS, the citadel seems to be much better and the city has symbolic importance to the US
"That survives to this day." To this day? From the future, in an alternate timeline to our own?
Apostrophes don't make things plural. Fix your title 😭

That's not how apostrophes work.
