The world still waits on your riding tips videos. Coming from someone who didn't grow up on dirtbikes either, I think there are a lot of us who can learn new things about riding big ADV bikes!
Beauty scenery! It’s Motorcycle law 101....one must always rev-bomb in the tunnels 🤘🏽 That camp spot was amazing 😳 Solo moto-camping is where it’s at 👍🏻
sometimes being alone is the goal for me. it's a getaway after all and i like how a duel sport can find you true seclusion. i love how your campsite there comes with furniture :)
What an awesome camp spot on the river! I've been in Idaho a few times and it really is a beautiful area! The videos and pictures don't do it justice. Thanks for taking us along, I really enjoyed that. You share some good tips & tricks, too!
I learn something from watching every motorcycle journey video. You did a good job explaining the relationship between the rider and the handlebars. I have known that for sometime but you made me think about it again. Thanks.
Solo Motorcycle Camping is the best. What a fantastic spot you found to camp. I’ve only been to Idaho once to Lake Pende Oreille it was awesome, now you’ve got me wanting to ride some of these bdr roads, thanks for sharing!
Great video!! I like that you are careful to not push the envelope to ride too high in elevation in the snow etc while you're solo. Thanks for explaining why you like the gear you use, you've obviously found some of the best gear available and I appreciate you explaining why this gear is the best for you. I just had a friend retire (yes I'm an old fart 64yo) in Idaho and didn't really appreciate how awesome and beautiful it is up there! Keep up the good work!
What a fantastic trip. The road, the scenery, the camping and your quality video just made my day and probably my week. I might keep your video playing on a loop for the rest of the day. I think that Tim from FTA camped at the same spot. Ride safe. Cheers
Solo camping is the best way to recenter yourself, at least I believe so. Last year was my first time to do solo camping and it took a few camps to get used to it for sure but there is just a freedom and confidence that come with the serenity in camping solo nice trip man!
I'm constantly amazed that the railway companies go through all the expense to build tunnels and bridges and figure out a way to make the route as reasonably flat as they can.....then it all gets abandoned. I understand that its all about economics and profit but there are some really neat abandoned railways that go through some spectacular scenery out there.
Thanks for the positive comment. I noticed you commented earlier and it wasn’t so positive. I hope by watching the video you changed your mind of the intent of the video. I by no means what to come across as implying a trip like this is “hardcore” but rather hopefully motivate people to get out and explore, even if they have to on their own. Just be safe about it. Thanks again for watching.
@@backcountryadvmoto sorry man, that most likely was cousin or brother who live with me now and troll videos i watch (and comment on) to cause me problems, I'm gonna get on to them about that. My bad.
@@zacharyharris438 I’m not upset. I just wanted to be transparent. Thanks for your honesty. If you like this video and you haven’t subscribed yet, hit that subscribe button and the bell icon so you can be notified when other videos like this are released. 👍🏻
Nicely done. I love that area and rode through there last August. I took the river road instead of the tunnel road out of Avery and it was disappointing. Your audio and video in the tunnels is amazing. Keep up the good work and ride safe in 2021!
Beautiful scenery! Enjoyed every second of the vid. I plan on riding part of the ID BDR next late spring and summer while traveling through the area. You just convinced me that this is one part I don't want to miss. Thanks.
Nice video. It's nice to see someone opening their bike up a little. Allot of the BDR video's show people moving at a much slower pace. I have ridden in small and larger groups and solo. I like all scenarios equally. Each gives a unique experience.
Very true. No matter what rides will never be the same. That’s what makes this type of exploring so special. If you enjoyed the pace of this video, check out my other ride videos 👍🏻
I’m not gonna lie. I just saw the Pan America release video and that brought me here. This is a completely new world for me. It actually sparks my interest way more than just the over roads. Your videos are amazing and I like your content a lot. I probably will get an ADV bike, because I’m looking forward to do what you do. Meditate by yourself out in the forest with nature!
Just found your channel and subbed! Just started riding last year. Loved this video, I'm so ready for summer and to start camping with my bike. Safe travels!
Enjoying all your videos. This one includes what I miss in many other ADV channels, the camp portion. Think I was looking at a personal protection device there by the fire. 👍🏻
Several times, I had real fear for you in this video! But I know that the camera flattens things out and distorts light. More importantly, you know your abilities far better than I do. Congratulations on gaining so many skills that you can ride safely and still scare the crap out of random people on TH-cam. Stay awesome!
All right, that's it. I need to get me another DR650 and head out. retired : go where i want, when i want, for as long as i want. Should have never sold my last DR...
Very cool. Grew up riding dirt bikes and motocross. Been on Harleys for 10 years. Do quite a bit of cross country moto camping 🏕. Leaving out for a 16 -1,800 mile trip next week... I SUBSCRIBED !lol
What a great video!! I really enjoyed the entire thing, the scenery, the mighty Africa twin, and WOW the amazing riding trails in Northern Idaho. Im looking forward to checking this area out this summer. Montana is home for me, but this area looks less traveled and very inviting. Well done, thanks for sharing! Did you end up fishing at that creek?.... and if so, how big? PB
I've heard so much about Idaho but never got a chance to check it out but that's about to change. My daughter is going to grad school in Boise and will be there the next 3 years so I'll have a place to base out of. Taking notes of your rides in the area as a guide. Coincidentally, I ride an AT as well, but not as proficiently as you. Thanks for your videos, inspiring to say the least!!
Man I enjoyed every second of video. Beautiful scenery,bike,camp...what more man can wish. Except better weather where I am haha, but if I can't go ride I might as well enjoy in your trip. Thanks for sharing man ✌️🖖
So Idaho is definitely on my bucket list for riding, especially enduro type riding. Gorgeous country. But just wondering what is your off-road riding season?
Man I’m so jealous. I spent a week in Driggs the past two summers and spent the time fly fishing and exploring the region. Kept thinking I’ve got to make back out here with the bike. Trying to convince the wife to get a toy hauler and taking it the bike and the wife to Idaho for the summer. Great stuff.
Thanks. I dont know if privileged is the right word, because anyone move to Idaho like I did and have the same thing. Just a matter of making it happen

Great locations, great commentary, great riding! I'm subscribing. Keep up the good work. I do similar riding and find it fun with people, but also nice to be alone and enjoy some helmet time. If I ever find myself over that way I'll have to hit to hit you up for some locations.
You know that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't always good lol great videos brother I've definitely got to ride this area I live in Oregon great riding here
That sure is some beautiful country, and that looked like a great place to set up camp. You mentioned your grip, and I was wondering if you run stock levers, or if you've done any kind of modification there. I grip the same way, and have given a lot of thought to shortening my levers. I just hate to shorten them, then wished I hadn't done it. Don't want no "REGERTS". ~EXCELLENT CONTENT!~
Thanks! yeah thats one thing really nice about Idaho, especially in the northern part is that everyone respects the trails and the people are who have the say, not some group trying to protect something they dont even use.
This is literally my dream.
Just do it 👍 Live the good life 😇

Thanks allot for sharing. Plan on doing Idaho BDR later this year. That camping spot is what dreams are made of.

@@backcountryadvmoto yes my plan is to explore AZ, UT, NM, and NV early in the spring while moving my way northward. Hopefully after the snow melt.
