There are several adventure motorcycle enthusiasts that share their trips and advice on TH-cam, and all of them do a very good job, but nobody does it better than Sterling Noren. Thank you Sterling for inspiring me to discard my blinders and see the trail beyond my comfort zone.

Sterling - I really appreciate your recordings of your 6000mi trip. I just bought a BMW R1150GS last Nov. It went straight into storage when I got home with it as I live in Iowa. Its my 4th BMW. I appreciated seeing how you travel on your motorcycle and the equipment you use. Its always a good thing to learn from others who have developed a technique. And you have definitely put a lot of thinking and effort into your motorcycle travels. They were some of the best TH-cam Videos I've seen for me. I love motorcycling. I've ridden somewhere around 350,000 miles since my first BMW, a 1976 R60 I put about 175,000 miles on, mostly driving to work. Now I'm retired and about 70 years old but I have time to go places and your videos give me a lot of inspiration and practical know how. Many Thanks!

Thanks for all effort to putting together a great series. I’ve a couple similar (shorter) trips and was nice to still see new tips and tricks or tools I hadn’t considered. Just finished Dallas to Phx last week on side roads and some BDR. Stopped in Bisbee when you had the band in the back. I got in late and you were sold out and band was gone by the time I got settled and cruised around. Hopefully next time.

I have some of the same gear for my old non computerized GS but I will be getting some of the things you reviewed here tonight. Great info for us to use, Thank you for all the effort you put in to make these great videos! I may just swing by your place in Bisbee, stay and use it as a 1st day/launch location. Happy Holidays to you and your’s.

Your Summer trip videos were very cool. And now that it is January in Montana, this is the perfect content for all of us "up nort" who are scheming trips for later in 2021. I think this was one of the more succinct kit videos I've ever seen. Also very re-affirming to see I've made at least a few similar purchases over the years.

Well put together videos with seamless segmented transitions. I had not intended to watch the entire 32 minutes of this video but the content was more captivating than anticipated. I've followed 90 percent of your adventure riding and appreciate the West Coast wilderness scenes and knowledge and ideas I acquired along the way.
I can certainly imagine the hard work it takes to edit all of the footage taken during long rides. Looking forward to your honest opinion about how well the GS held up as I've been mulling over two of one adventure I want to buy: GS or new AF Twin. My main concern is the reliability reputation of the bikes, especially being many miles away from the nearest populated town in rural America. Thanks!

Thank you for your info on the equipment you used... It's prompted me to actually buy a couple of things I had forgotten about in prep for my upcoming 5 week long trip.. It's also prompted me to add to my selection of equipment as well. So thank you for that. I'm going to spend 5 weeks exploring the east coast of Australia.. just started this channel specifically for that purpose.. and I've almost got all the camera gear now as well.
Anyway, thanks for the in-depth info. ;-)

Great walkthrough! So cool that you are passing along what works for you through trial and error. Couple lessons learned for me...I use my Pannier as a table with a folding top. Tents -only have a Kelty 3 person tent for my trips...for the minimal increase in bag weight/size, having a tent to house more than just me comes in super handy. Ice - fashioned a Yeti half gallon jug to mount to the pannier. Under right conditions can retain ice for several days. Have to plug the Helinox Chair 1 camping chair. Expensive but soooo worth it. I definitely need to add a hammock after watching your series. Way to go Sterling!

Good video! I liked your reviews of the gear that you used on your long trip, with tips on the practicality aspects, such as size and functionality. For example, you found that plate that doubles as a cutting board, and it has collapsible sides, too. Handy and easy to pack. Nice! Thanks, Sterling. Be safe.

Good video! I like seeing what you use, and you did an excellent job (as always) of explaining things. I'm planning to make my first motocamping trip this summer, and I'm a little daunted by all the stuff you have to carry-or *want* to carry to be comfortable and safe. Ugh! Maybe I'll start slowly and add equipment over time.
