Actually this is the flashlight I was waiting for. Instant access to strobe and turbo make it great for self defense, but there are several other brightness levels to make it a perfect EDC flashlight. I was looking at the P20iX, but that seemed a bit bulky for the pocket. Now that the P10iX is out, I know this is the one. I prefer tailswitch operation, I have several flashlights with a side switch, but they just don't work for me: I end up searching where the switch is especially in gloves. Also the floodbeam is perfect for lighting up areas within a shorter distance and in my experience this is what I mainly use it for. All in all, I would carry this light with me all the time, because it has all the features a tactical EDC flashlight should have in my opinion.

My primary job is SAR in the U.S. and I am required to carry three lights plus a head light. I started upgrading my lights first with the NiteCore P20IX and what a fantastic light it is. Most people might not experience trying to use a light with a hot spot for doing things a flood can do much better. I have found trying to do so when it’s so dark I can’t see my hand in front of me the hot spot confuses my eyes - eyes want to try and focus on the spot verses the area around it. With a flood it’s so much easier on my eyes simply because the flood on the P20IX is so even with no hot spot my eyes 👀 actually work like they would in daytime hours. When I use my P30 for long distance use because of the distance being for far my eyes focus on the hot spot and not so must the area around it. Your point of using the right light for the right job is very important. Most of my searches are mainly at nighttime when the deserts have had a chance to cool down compared to 110 - 125 degrees F compared to 40 - 55 degrees F at night time. If I purchased this light I could use the same batteries also. Thanks

I bought my first nitecore mh12s because of this channel. I used it a lot nowadays for various kind of activity such for working and camping. If I ever own P10iX, I would use it to light up the warehouse whenever I need to work at night. I wont bother to find the light switch for only to see the surrounding for a moment.

I'm not law enforcement but I work in a hotel from 23:00 to 7:00, the reason why I started bringing flashlights to work is because often times I had to walk 20 to 25 meters across a room just to check if everything was OK in the restaurant. Now I aways have a main and backup light.
This would suit me perfect because during the security check I have to go to different areas which are wide but not deep, it works fine with the floodlight I have but it takes a lot of targeting to check everything.
And the second reason is the strobe ready, 4k blinking light in the face of the guests that decide they can trash the room and hit the staff makes all the difference.

I’m on the night shift inside the Container Yard in LA and a having a good illumination tool in order to check cargo and identify it’s commodity is crucial for my job. I’ve been using an old, bulky incandescent-style flashlight with very poor performance so the new P10ix would really check all boxes (pun intended). The capabilities of this light has the potential to provide me with all the necessities in order to safely execute my work related duties on The Waterfront. Nitecore, you’re products are tier 1!

With the constant need to be on a lookout for items/objects at nights, I have tried various torchlights, and I believe that with the compact P10iX, i will be able to use it to the highest optimal state to search for the respective items/objects and would not be dangerously searching for them due to the flood pattern of the torchlight.

I just got my hands on one
Currently using it my for my job , as a range safety at a indoor range with simulated night shooting program
It gives a soft even light with almost no hotspot.
Made a diy aluminum foil hood attachment for when cycling, and it’s almost like a br25 but with remote control coz I have a rws2i attached
It’s great for camping also , just hang somewhere high enuff and the bunch of us just forgot about it while enjoying our outdoor hotpot

Walking my dogs at night. They move random and in different directions. Perfect for that. Also for night hikes. You need to be looking for things that may trip you or bang your head. You need a wider beam and you don't want a big bulky duty light. Dual mode very useful. Great interface.

I work in the building industry and flood lights are important to us especially in situation when we need to conduct safety checks within building. As there is no electrical supply in buildings that are still under construction, portable lights is our primary light source. With a flood light that small and bright, it would definitely be a game changer for us as we no longer have to carry those big and bulky lights. Great job nitecore!!

I'm a wildlife photographer and most of the time I need bright lights like this kind to scout for animals and insects. This also comes in handy for my reservist if I'm navigating in tactical low light plus doing FIBUA. The burst flash really helps if I'm stomping in rooms and blind the targets. Imagine those normal lights already punch a pack. This 4000 lumens will make my "enemies" hate me for using this secret weapon

I almost bought this then I realised the candela is just too small for me. I really need one compact torch like this P10iX, with 1 inch head and 4k lm, but has 300 m beam distance like P10i. Either you will have upgrade for P10i with 4k lm or P10iX with much more candela, I'm still delaying the purchase. I really love the compactness of both of P10 upgrades. I'm a user of P12GT for very long time and it never failed me. Any head more than 1 inch is not for me, but any throw less than 300m is too short for me too. Thanks

Great video, but you missed one of the biggest reasons for choosing a floody in your examples. Building inspection. I've been a full time home inspector for over 25 years. As a building inspector, I need a light that lites up an entire attic or basement. I carry the acebeam p18 and the Fenix tk16 as primary and backup. But I might switch to the 10ix after seeing the beam pattern on your video. Anyway, great vid, but I suggest expanding your audience instead of focusing on such a tiny segment (police). Building inspection, trades (electrician, plumber, etc), vehicle repair and maintenance, aircraft inspection, I could go on but you get the idea.

You should make a version of P10ix and P20ix that illuminates the ground that the user is walking or standing on. It would be like a BR35 for those on foot because the BR35 is for bike riding at night. I have been trying on my mind if the BR35 would be good for walking on dark places at work but then it would difficult to hold it on your hand. I hope Nitecore make or study the idea of having this kind of product.

Good day, I understand the difference between a spot light and a flood light thanks to your explanation and demo. I wanna ask if there's something that I can switch from flood light mode to spotlight mode and vice versa.

There are a few lights that can switch modes like the p35i or Tm20k, but they are expensive. Most clients they are happy with an inbetween mixed beam, like the mh12se, or p10i.

@@letmebreakitdown2u152 I blind elderly people with them then beat and rob them, sometimes I blind oncoming traffic and cause horrible wrecks that injure people, but other than that nothing interesting

I'd put this in my truck tools kit. I help people broken down on the side of the road, in an area where people don't help each other. So much so, the local paper went looking for me on Facebook once...someone wrote in and told them about the roadside help I gave them...

Hello, looking for edc self-defence flashlight. Smaller and lighter than my p23i. Among P10ix - mh12 pro - edc33?? External 21700 battery will be a pros.

Hi! Bought a new p10ix in Sweden. It works with two cr123, but the nl2150hpi will not charge properly.
The charging led blinks at random times and the battery only charges up to 3.71V. The supplier is sending me a new battery, but I'm worried that the charging mechanism is broken out of the box.
Does anyone have experience in this?

I picked this up and was so disappointed, it can't hold 1700 lumens and drop down 2 levels to 300 in less than 20 secs ( I would expect that for the 4000 lumen mode ). Will be returning mine. Saying that, I have the P20ix and that's amazing so it's either the P20ix can handle heat better due to the bigger head or mine P10ix is faulty.
