I have seen TH-camrs reviewing $3,000 laptops and computer gears with potato cams and amateur setups. This guy reviews torches and his setup far outsmarted them. I guess when you are passionate about your art, you put your heart in your presentation...

Bruce, definitely this is not just a "guy", it is a Singapore Nitecore's employee and the set up (including camera) is it paid by that company (a big high end torches manufacturer). Other TH-camrs, as you said, has potato cams and amateur setups because they are doing budget reviews. By the other hand, yes, he knows what he's doing reviewing flashlights (that's why he is paying for). Congrats to Nitecore after all.

I’m a police officer and I bought this with my own money to have a better flood light (we are issued a search light). Not two weeks we responded to a train derailment at 2am and I used this to help survey the situation better than anyone else could. Just really appreciate what this light can do.

Departments waste their money on BS so often when relatively inexpensive purchases like this could make a world of difference. It's a shame you had to spend your hard earned money. Hope you somehow deduct that on your taxes. Although they stopped letting teachers deduct school expenses so maybe not...

I love watching this guy. He is very thorough. I recently got a P20ix with the wireless gun mount pressure switch. The only thing missing on this flashlight is a beacon feature. Some say you can't look at the strobe for more than a couple of seconds. Half a second is enough for me. Even with my eyes closed it gets very confusing. I'm a big fan of Nitecore. I must have about 15-20 of their items.

Your product reviews have always been very useful. I had P20i since it first came out. I work in a line of work where I do searches almost daily, and most of us will carry at least two of these tac lights on our persons. When the P20iX came out, I jumped on it right away. The wider range of flooding definitely is useful for us. My co-workers and I were comparing the brightness and flooding of our flashlights in the field the other night. I'd have to say, many of them are getting this model, too, now. The ability to widen my peripheral in the dark, in my line of work, is very important. Just as one of the stories you shared today, it helps reduce the risk of us getting ambushed in the dark as we shine the light away from where the suspect could be hiding. As the suspect jumps out to attack when we shine the light away, the more of peripheral we have, the less chance of us getting ambushed. I highly recommend this model to LE out there.

I went from Led Lenser to Sofirn to Nitecore and I love em all. But Nitecore suits me better and owning the P20ix I can say that I feel save with it. I work law enforcement and I can tell you that the strobe mode will be very useful in dangerous moments.
An assailment will be blinded directly by the power of four leds flickering within a short time. The option that theres 'strobe ready' is awesome. My colleagues are always surprised when they see that I have that mode on my P20ix.
Also the spec that you speak about at 04:00 is a good one. Whenever I approach a car and check through the windows and a present passenger they can't look at me because of the spread that the P20ix produces. I never point directly into their eyes so nobody ever complained.
Also bought a Nitecore backpack which I am very happy with. Good video!

I recently purchased the Nitecore P20IX flashlight and I have been extremely satisfied with its performance. The flashlight is extremely bright, with a maximum output of 4000 lumens. It is also very durable and has a solid build quality. The beam is very focused, making it great for long distance visibility.
One of the things I really appreciate about the P20IX is the variety of lighting modes it offers. In addition to the high output mode, there are also low, medium, and strobe modes, which allow me to adjust the brightness and flashing frequency to suit my needs.
Another great feature of the P20IX is its waterproof design. I have used it in heavy rain and it has held up perfectly, so I have no concerns about using it in wet conditions.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Nitecore P20IX flashlight. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of brightness, durability, and versatility. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a high-quality flashlight.
the p23 is next for my throw

I recently purchased this light. I like it. However, one of the things i have noticed with it is that when i just pull it out of either the holster or the bag. More often than not i am holding it in the wrong orientation for pressing the mode switch. Then i either have to look at the torch to turn it right way so that the mode switch of below the main button then or i would have to awkwardly poke my fingers around the back till i get it in the right position. I have to say, this is more of and issue than i thought out to be and can mean life and death in some situation. I wish there was some way to hold it right off the go in the right orientation. Next thing i know is that someone is running towards me and i intend to strobe then and then whoops holding it in the wrong orientation and then i have fumble around the torch to get it right. I might have got a temporary fix for it and that just to put a dab of hot glue on the mode switch so it sticks out a bit and can find it in any orientation. Other than that, light is great.

Train with it. When you wear all your gear, practice over and over and build that muscle memory. Same as you would do with your pistol. Also, make sure to place it in your holster in the correct way so that every time you grab it, you know which way it is even under stress. Same as you would do with your pistol magazines. You always have them facing in the right direction, so when you need to do a reload, you know which way your mags are facing so their will be no fumbling. You need to train more with your gear and place your gear in the correct position best for you.

Out of what flashlights I have. The P20iX would be my flashlight if I had to choose 1.
I am thinking of getting another flashlight to compliment the P20IX. I am thinking the MH25 V2. Longer beam throw and the max lumens is in between the lumens of the P20iX but, not too close.
Would the MH25 V2 run off the NL2150HPI batteries that the P20iX uses? If it does. Would it increase the runtime even more?

I recently won the Nitecore P20iX from Urban Survivor. I have to say, I like it a lot.
    Two gripes about it, however:
    1. You include a lanyard, but no hole to loop it through.
    2. The quick-release holster sadly quickly releases the light and I've almost lost it a couple of times
    while just sitting down.
You might want to consider adding a button strap like you find with many pistol holsters to keep from
    losing the light.
I'll be redesigning both on my end and have an update with how they work out.

Just got one of these, the build quality feels amazing, quite heavy but I like that! Pretty bright although if I'm being completely honest not as bright as I hoped for self defense, decided to shine it in my eyes on the higher and turbo settings which, while it wasn't exactly comfortable, it didn't really phase me to the point where I had to look away and I could actually look into the centre and see the cree LEDs and that was only at a distance between arms length to about 2.5 meters away (did it a few times at different distances). But I guess that's because it's a flat light focused more on lumens than candela intensity. However I did find the strobe to be pretty effective! I like how you can access it quickly in daily mode with short bursts by holding down the mode button. Does the strobe have alternating patterns? It seemed as though it did. But All in all I think it's a pretty good light

Someone was just asking me if I have ever used a Nitecore flashlight as a duty light for security. Only time I've seen a Nitecore was a demo at a hardware store but the batteries were dying. I already use a commericial grade flashlight for duty so I cant justify buying another flashlight.

Perfect light, I just wish they'd include a smaller 5th LED for like .5 - 2 lumens for emergency duration. I purchased the MH12S because of the 1500 hours at 1 lumin, but if they could incorporate that into the 4000 lumen P20iX, that would be amazing.

MH12S is a medium beam light, longer throw than P20iX. If you only work within 50m distances, get the P20iX. If not, MH12S is better

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes it would be a step up, but size is a concern, it is quite big compared to the slim p10i. Depends on how you like to carry it

In the past, I was recommended a nightcore P20 product for self-defense. I found this video while searching for P20. Many other new products seem to have been released since the launch of the P20. Since it is not an English-speaking country, I leave comments because there is no one around me to ask. Can you recommend a self-defense product? And I wonder if I can live in Amazon.

Well done! the strobe make me dizzy even though it was through the computer XD . What flashlight do you recommend for a farm/homestead? I can't decide between flood or hotspot beam, max distance would be 100-150 m just in case I have to check surroundings at night

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

For that kind of distance, P30i, MH25S, MH40GTR will work great. Many plantation owners I know use MH40GTR to cover their grounds

I just wish there was an alternative to the P20iX that doesn't require a proprietary battery. The P20i has an alt that doesn't require a proprietary battery, the MH25-S. So maybe you guys could make a quad-ray LED setup with an MH series light that uses the same body with the same 40mm head and call it the MH25-SX. Just as long as the outside of it is the same body and same controls as the MH25-S, just with a different emitter setup. I hate proprietary hardware.

@ Nitecore Lights -- Does it have a Lanyard hole in the cap? I am a Tactical Dog walker! Need the Lanyard for my Dog who is a puller. I always check that before I buy a light. No Lanyard hole, no light purchase.

  • @mimimmimmimim

Does this flashlight have a lanyard hole on its body? Lanyard is included in the package but I've yet to see any picture that shows the holes on the battery cap and I kinda remember a picture showing the lanyard attached to the clip (maybe it was some other model, can't remember).

    • @NitecoreSG
