@@skatecrew090582 I'll have to do a run down vid on the ac box/heater core I just did that yesterday. Regardless of what people have been saying you do not have to take the dash out
@@skatecrew090582 I gotcha I'll make one then and try to give a decent run down what all needs to be taken off so on. Honestly it was a simple job for the most part
Great video, and great job explaining everything. I highly recommend getting a few jack stands just to stay safe. I know you mentioned it but if the truck comes down hard it can compress the suspension enough to crack your ribs or worse
Video was well done, I would like to know what year your Dakota is though. Mine is a 94 automatic transmission, 3.9l V6. Struggle finding parts so anything helps.
On the disconnect on the passenger side I know you Said they slide on with out the ears did you have to put them on with the o -rings still on there? I just want to make sure the other O-rings came off the ears so I was just wanting to make sure they didn't go back on there before I snap the line back on
@@RspecNick okay just wanted to make sure I had to replace the one on the my passenger-side today I just wanted to make sure didn't have an o-ring on there before I snapped it appreciate it
My passenger side is leaking at the radiator. I keep smelling coolant but if this is for transmission fluid, I’m leaking coolant somewhere else right? I can’t find a leak anywhere else but I smell coolant.
@@RspecNick thanks. Guess I’ll keep looking for it. Like I said I can smell it but can’t see it. I’m going to go ahead and replace both of these though also because my passenger sides leaking
@@X_Brandon_X it might be leaking at the coolant neck ontop of the motor or intake plenum gasket that's a common gasket to go out. I replaced the heater core in mine cause it was actually leaking right at the firewall dripping ontop of the exhaust. Eventually that drip turnt into a pin hole that leaked inside the cabin.. if you have to replace the heater core it's really not to hard to pull the whole AC box out with the dash intact most people say you need to pull the dash but that's not true
My 'Dakota's some necklehead that I bought it from. Replace the line with rubber lines and regular clamps. And I lost all my transmission fluid and I'm worried that my transmission shot0
Yes I finally found some one else working on this truck
Hey hey 👋
@@RspecNick haha lol I'm looking forward to seeing more

@@RspecNick please do that there's not too much people working on this trucks and going in to detail about them on video so to me this vids are gems

100 percent agree and thank you.
Connector part number??
@kevin3648 i can try to find it i did get the connectors from NAPA auto parts.
I found the right one. Dorman 800-713
Thanks for the video man. Definitely helped me with my replacement.
@kevin3648 Glad it could help definitely a fun truck to mess with for the most part.
Quick question, how do you connect the quick disconnect to the radiator? That’s the big issue I’m struggling with right now
@FloridaJit786 it just pops on to get it off you need a flare style tool to release the clips from the inside of the hose.

Mine was a 95 auto v6. Rockauto has alot for the truck.
What are the part numbers for the double screw connections that actually go into the transmission?
I'll have to try to find them I can say they were a pain to find Napa came super close but then had to order them

When I did mine the O-ring was stuck to the inside of the quick release. The new ones came with new ones already in.

Go back to the no gears part. How do you fix that part?
The linkage you need a new bushing set so it stays in place.
Thanks for the vid !
I have a major atf leak. But unfortunately I'm not a small guy. Not am I young and flexible ☹️.
Mine was leaking atf bad also the lines definitely stopped it. A lift would have made it alot easier as well

Hey man I’ve got fluid everywhere right now and rockauto won’t even search up my cooler lines. Do you remember the part numbers?
