Had the weirdest fail to our lightly used four year old Beautyrest Black. There felt like there was a valley running down the middle of the bed from top to bottom. When my wife and I slept in it together (guest room bed) we seemed to be rolling inward toward the middle. I believe this coil failure is exactly what happened to ours except it failed left to right not at the bottom which is basically the same thing. In the process of filing a warranty claim. $3000 bed should hold up longer than four years. Thanks guys for providing me the visual ammunition I needed to offset the sales pitch. Unless we get a satisfactory answer and resolution we won’t be buying anymore of their products, which sucks because they are the perfect comfort level for both of us.

Just stumbled across your videos in my search for understanding bed builds and the likes of what to avoid. What an absolute eye opener to say the least. I can't thank you enough for posting these deconstructions. My mom was looking at a Sterns & Foster to replace a used and abused Beautyrest. Would love to see a deconstruct of the Sterns beds, seeing their just as pricy as the Beautyrests. I've alway been a firm believer in the individual coil spring beds but it seems nearly impossible to find one that is flippable and not loaded with piles of useless crap. Needless to say, I appreciate your integrity in mattress building and I will definitely be perusing through your website and inventory. As for this video here, I think most of us are extremely desperate to know what brand this was, to make damn sure we or anyone we know NEVER buys any of their products. Maybe a small hint or the first or last letter of the brand name would suffice, and we can do our own digging from there. Thank you again!!!

@@randomrazr I've had many types of mattresses in our homes over the decades and found that the foam has the worst lifespan. Whatever cooling hype they're trying to sell you, they are all hot and retain moisture causing quick breakdown. The hybrids w/ pocket coils are hype as well to me IMO...theres so much foam you never actually feel the support from the coils. It's all personal choice but I like my mattress to last more that 3-6 years with no sag. I prefer a mattress that'll last at least a decade+ and you can only get that with a good pocket coil packing with minimal top foam that you can put a replaceable topper on if needed. That will forever be my go to

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HONOR AND INTEGRITY OF YOUR BUSINESS ETHIC. I just decided to rebuild my Serta Perfect Sleeper Kleinmon II mattress. The image they show if you buy it online is incorrect. 9"inner springs, 1/4 gel foam (just like this one and has collapsed) 1/4 foam top cover layer is foam that is hard as a rock, embordered in a diamond shape for the top. That is it.
1st try---I put in 1" latex, 2" gel infused stupid foam and took of the top. SO FAR. My bed is killing me (back). So I thought I would try this instead of spending another $1,600. I really don't like the memory foam layer that is first.

Shocking - thanks for the expose! This is why I'm having a 'mare trying to even get to our local department store to look for a mattress to replace my newish one - which was an expensive thing, made by one of Australia's oldest manufacturers, actually made in our state, but I'm suffering horribly. The one you try in the store might seem 'fine' - but you can't see what you end up with. I have had a couple excellent mattresses in my life, but a ton of duds, & as you spend so much meaningful time on them it really is essential they give you a good night's rest & don't bend you out of shape. I'm hoping you have a vid which shows how you make your superior mattresses? Good luck guys.

wow, that's why I've had such a hard time trusting mattress companies and actually paying thousands for one...I've jusy always had a funny feelings there's something not legit with majority of them. I also am a single mom barley keeping a roof over my son and Is head, and couldn't afford even a 500$ mattress if I saved up for year,if I could save, lol. I just recently gave in and bought a crap memory foam mattress. bed in a box, from Walmart..lol :( ide been sleeping ( trying to sleep, poorly sleeping tossing turning) on a second handy down, as in I was the 3rd owner of a 20 year old mattress that j believe has been the cause of my son and I's horrible allergies, sad I know, we did sleep on the floor for a couple years before I said wtv, take the used mattress. my back has had bad issues since the last month in my pregnancy, and I just couldn't do the floor anymore I had to have something. and as you'd guess, my back has definitely not gotten any better with the old crap Mattress. The Walmart bed in a box is not much of an upgrade though I've sadly learned, sort of expected, but idk what else I'm to do, how in the world do people buy 2000 mattresses, I can't even dream of having the money to do that. idk, wonder if sleeping on a good awesome expensive mattress is what makes you capable of making more money, getting better sleep at night probably inevitably helps ya get up feeling rested and alert, think clearer, functional, probably alot happier on a daily basis, idk, I wouldn't know. I've called dozens of mattress companies asking for any throw aways they could donate, nope, any military, disabled, low income discounts, nope, if inwas active duty maybe 10%off...I kind of gave up on my hunt for an empathetic mattress company who'd donate even just any crap old used mattress they had to me. think I'll be sleeping on the floor again though cus this full size 170$ bed in a box smells like toxic gas, and is bumpy uneven all across. anyone know a mattress company who donates they're used mattresses to single Mama's up here in the rainy NW?
