Heather, hope you're doing well! We miss you 💚 Hope to see you back this year. I've followed you since 2010, and you still are one of the most inspiring and genuine people that I have come across. It's a pleasure to come back to your videos time and time again. 😺
Food: 4,000 calories/day. Buckwheat pancakes, lots of maple syrup, oats, kale, flax, millet, beans, lentils, beets, tomatoes, carrots, walnuts, quinoa, amaranth, prunes, tart cherry juice. Went vegan the end of 2007. Turned 50 last year and started doing competitive powerlifting.
It’s pretty cool today so dinner will be your Warm Lime Ginger Quinoa Bowl with a few swaps since I don’t have everything you made it with. I have finally gotten past thinking of everyone I encounter as a potential enemy which was pretty depressing. Otto seems to be a natural at sheltering-in-place.
Oh yes, Otto is living his best live with shelter in place... we think he's going to go through withdrawal when we start leaving him alone all day on weekdays! Aw, I know what you mean, it's a weird time for social interactions... yum, lime ginger quinoa bowl does sound good!! I have plans for Indian take out tonight, but will put that on the list for this week... thanks for reminding me, I do have a weakness for anything with lime and ginger in it :) hope you have a good weekend, and week going forward!
Heather, run while you are still young. If you like running in the rain, just do it. When you get old, it will be difficult, if not impossible to run. I enjoy your videos. Take care🌷🌹🌻
Awesome i also became a vegan 18 june. Now i only eat grass / hay as staple food. I also consume other vegetation, fruits or nuts if they "pass by". To get iodine i eat sea salt. To get vitamin B12 i boil small amounts of clay/dirt and drink the water. B12 lives in soil and is soulable in water. I also never wash my plants, only boil them. And i pull them out of the soil whole. Im mostly after the fibers, it makes you feel full. Then i eat some nice small apple slices or piece of banana. Grass contains 10% sugar as well. Algae contains all essential nutrients. Including iodine, salt and B12. So drinking raw, boiled sea water, unfiltered well water or rainwater is also healthy. If you are unsure do NOT try what im doing. Nutrient deficiency is deadly and there are many many dangerous deceases and infectious parasites you need to be aware of first that can and will kill you. I am not responsible for anyones mishaps. Be careful. Stay safe.
Your veggie and couscous bowl looks yummy! I work for my County government in Michigan, so my boss has me coming in to the office 1 day a week and working at home the other 4. Makes it too easy to eat whenever and my weight loss has stalled.
Thanks! And I'm glad you're still able to work! But I hear from a lot of people that it's tricky for them working at home, with food available any time. Particularly with everything we're all dealing with, there's a lot of stress and uncertainty, and I think a lot of the tools we might usually use may not be the right ones for this moment. I've been trying to lean myself into gratitude, for instance I'm grateful that filming this video for you motivated me to actually do my afternoon workout rather than work until I was totally exhausted and just start dinner. On the days that I don't prioritize self-care as much as I would like to, I try to remind myself to be grateful for everything and everyone in my life, rather than get down on myself, and just carry on to the next day. It's a pretty crazy time, but it seems to me we can't go wrong with mindfulness and kindness - particularly to ourselves!
Heather Today in your new TH-cam video show how to do crunches when working out at home without hurting neck? My goal is to get into shape. Send me a message and show how.
I used to watch you all the time a couple of years ago. Found your channel again!!!
I would love to know why she isn't posting any content any more because she was really good at this.
