I realy love ur vlogs Sol y Luna (Sun & Moon). I m from Zamboanga City and ur recent visit to our city and d Philippines as a whole must have been a great experience for you 2.
Hi, Luna and Sol. Your translation of Chavacano to English is very impressive, 10 out 10! I'm a good judge because I can speak both with equal facility.
I so love this! ❤️ Everyone who participated here seems enjoying their time translating Chavacano in Spanish. It's fun and very entertaining yet informative. This shows that some of Chavacano language has a strong resemblance or should I say similarities in Spanish both in language since Chavacano is a Spanish-based Creole and a native dialect of Zamboanga and some part of the headline I think, they did translated. Thank you Sol and Luna for this Video! You guys are amazing! 😊 💙
Chavacano actually came from Cavite but there was a mass migration of Caviteños during the 1800s and they made their way down to Zamboanga city so the language is actually based on primarily Spanish then Tagalog with the addition of other languages like Cebuano
To me Chavacano sounds more like an interpretation of Spanish with certain words, rather than the actual language, so it seems like thats why a lot of the translations come out as different answers
I really enjoyed this challenge and introducing one of our languages and the Philippines to your other Dominican friends. I hope to see more vlogs like this in future. Love you ladies😘
