What a lovely space. This is one of the few, or the only sewing room tour I've seen where the cutting/work table doesnt have a cutting mat permanently attached. I love the finish on your tabletop. This room is so organized and subdued. Im sure its a great place to spend time.

I like having the flexibility with the cutting table, although I do sometimes crave one of those extra large cutting mats that would cover the whole table. My husband put a “full spectrum LED” lightbulb in my sewing room overhead ceiling light. It gives true color representation and replicates natural sunlight. It’s nice and bright and made a big improvement.

I liked having “warm” lighting in the room until I really started using it for sewing. Now I’m thinking something brighter would work better. Hope you’re having a good weekend.
Wow what a wonderful sewing space Angela! That crafty closet is what dreams are made of. The organization! The matching bins! The SIZE! The pattern cabinet is such a cool piece, with a cool back story. As is the cabinet with your notions. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Angela! Thanks for taking us around your space! I love your pattern cabinet; you've got quite a collection 😍 Re: the digital patterns. I've come to put them all in manila envelopes: patterns that are cut (instead of rolled), instrux, traced copies, etc. They are a consistent size, and can be 'filed' on end or on their sides. I don't know if your drawer rails are movable, but maybe large envelopes would fit sideways in them - they are legal size length. I've got the pretty lidded boxes I saw on Michelle Sews Again, I use them more than the commercial patterns, so having them easy to get to is nice. Love your room!

Hi, watching the tour make me feel as if it was my stuff. Weird but that is how I have my things set up sort of speak and the weirdest is thst the tools some of them I have others I would like to buy when I have my own craft room. You did not know how to organize the pdf patterns. If they are a regular 8x11 size paper then you can buy the file folders with the file pockets and the metal brackets to house them and you can file them if they fit. Otherwise, you could get the file bins and file them separate, they also have the roll away file cabinets and do the same thing, this one has wheels to roll it under something or into the closet.

Thank you! I put the bobbins on the same pins as the spools of thread, under the spools. I'll take a picture and post it on my Community page.

Thank you for sharing your sewing room with us Angela, it's a great set up. I am envious as I make do with the dining table. My spare room has a little fabric storage area but the rest is taken up with my art and mosaics and I even have a single bed in there for my little Grandson's sleepovers. I love how you have your supplies so organised, that's inspiring. ❤

I live in Kentucky and I have taken old printers that didn’t work anymore to Staples Office Supply Store.
