Y'all made this apartment look 3X bigger than it was, and it's so functional! Those doors and nightstands in the bedroom are quite amazing, but the whole space seems airy and light and it has no right, with such an odd layout of the walls and doors, to look so well-designed. One of the best Studio Fixes you've ever done. The couple looked thrilled, and I can see why.
so incredible, that was honestly highlight of the entire makeover. also good space planning. the only thing i'd change is the freestanding wardrobe for another dresser.
As someone with a very small apartment, I found that a great way to create a dining nook is using 2 IKEA kallax bookcases as an L shaped bench. Not only i can fit up to 8 people in a place that otherwise would only fit 6 people max, but it also serves as storage space! It was literally a life saver, since I love having friends over and own too many items I didn't have any more space to store in.
I'd at least add a sturdy slab of wood above for the seating. Kallax is mostly air and cardboard - wrapped with 3mm hardboard (the thicker walls). So I wouldn't want to sit on those longterm. The good thing is the variable heights - each section adds ~33 cm. So you can really fit it into your space. But not sure about open shelving on the floor - will be a magnet for dust, crumbs,...
As always, the way the reveal is filmed is better that ANY makeover channel. It’s filmed better that AD when they film interiors. Really, truly, props to whomever is behind the camera.
That's Carla. She is great but the drone-style sweeps into details on accessories are less important to me than the wide before & after shots which are much more effective, IMO
Graham needs to sell his hanging side tables. Also, his closet doors would really sell. This was a delightful video. I think this video alone would get you over a million subscribers. As a Californian, every time you do over bed storage or decor I LITERALLY PANIC. I would and could never. Idc where I'm living NO. 😂 I challenge you to expand storage in a non above bed way in one of these spaces. I wanna see what you come up with 👁️👄👁️
I never lived in an earthquake zone but I could NEVER tolerate any cabinetry or shelving above the headboard of my bed. I would live in fear of it and its contents tumbling upon my head as I slept.
I've experienced several earthquakes in the middle of the night so I really will never do above-bed shelving. They're so nice and cute but risky for our area
Great job for such a small space. The only thing I would change is I would do some cool wooden folding chairs for the kitchen so they could put away when they don't need them
That is what I was thinking! There looks to be a gap in between the cabinet holding the microwave and the fridge so I bet one folding chair could easily slide in and they could keep one chair out all the time to balance out the bench
Yesss it killed me that they didn’t fit underneath the table… even a slightly smaller choice of chairs would’ve worked a bit better and imo they could’ve matched the bench a bit better as well but they did amazing either ways!
The only thing I don't like are the plastic crates on top of the kitchen units. Some nice bowls and pots or more baskets would look so much better. Other than that, it's a great job in such a tiny space.

They draw the eye, would gather dust, and if you put stuff in them it would be completely visible. They are the sort of plastic storage crates you would have in a shed or garage. Some vintage pottery and baskets would work so much better, plus their contents would be hidden. Apart from that though, as always AG and her team have done an AMAZING job.

Yeah that is why there are so many designers out there. Just don’t have $$ for them, so one bite at a time on that elephant. Chose paint then finally Bought paint but had 🤦🏻♀️moment where forgot brushes. Wonder how long before brushes

My only personal critique is it seems like the storage unit above the edge should be lower on the wall and the two kitchen chairs would fit under the table if they were narrower. They seem too big for the room and the table.

Really stunning and unexpected...I thought "Wow what a lot if stuff in that space" and "not a fan of so many dufferent wood colors" BUT you proved me wrong! It all looks so good and the place looks so much bigger! And when they saw the reveal I teared up. They love it!

Those pop light sconces are an about time product. About time that we can have sconces without hiring an electrician. This makeover is adorable. I'm surprised a couple can live happily in 250 square feet, but you've made it feel spacious with colors, style and storage.

Love 95% of this, but I don't think the storage above the cabinets will work. I tried doing that in my place based on a video of yours, and everything up there gets covered in a gross film of grease being so close to the stove which has no hood. Closed storage might be a better bet!
This is such an amazing space! I’m blown away by the doors and night stands graham built. The one thing I would change is the milk crates on top of the cabinets. You used them in another makeover and I loved them, but something about this space makes them not as cohesive. Hopefully they have enough storage from all the other spots you added. Love love love!!

Love the decor! Why not use thinner vertical space by the back kitchen door and fridge? And floor to ceiling wardrobe in the bedroom? Vertical space is often underutilized… vertical storage!!! Vertical storage!!! Vertical storage!!! No mini shelves, top to bottom full wall closed storage!!! Love the front door storage tree! So many good ideas - and yet - use the whole wall floor to ceiling for closed storage! Around beds, in kitchens, around your tv etc. in all these studio apartments…
Yes and a curtain in the window of the door. Then a short bin could be put below the window with the tall thin chimney cupboard at an angle by the frig so it's accessible.

One of the biggest transformation yet! But that closet door..Graham never ceases to amaze me with what he can come up with & do with wood!!🤯 Honestly such a cool space! Great job team AG😊
I love how cute and functional the shelves in the kitchen are, especially with the sliding without tilting! However, the chairs look way too big and bulky, pretty and comfortable folding chairs would've been a better option to give them the opportunity to free up space if needed and maybe seat one more person. Especially since it doesn't look like 4 people could sit AND eat there comfortably. The hutch could've used non-seethrough doors in my opinion. Especially since Elif and Asif mentioned that they would like to hide things better in that corner. Maybe making the doors pop with a nice but not too in you face pattern repeating the green of the cabinets (painted or peel and stick) or the lattice from the closet doors. The mirror looks really nice there! The bedroom is too mix-and-not-matchy in my opinion; it makes it less cohesive and cozy than it could've been. The furniture types and wood tones just don't really go too well together, I think. Also, yes, some storage has been added, but I think giving really up high wall to wall and maybe even on more than one wall book shelves would've been more practical and looked nice (maybe add a little indirect light moment or some cute string lights). Also, the "closed storage" isn't often really closed. Most of those baskets would've been better with lids (less dusty, hiding clutter better and less fading of clothing etc from light) and bigger. Especially in the kitchen and the "wardrobe". For the bedroom I feel a ceiling light is missing. Something not too dominant but to give them more light when needed (like outfit check when it's dark outside). All in all it looks so much better and Elif and Asif look really happy and them loving it is the most important thing.
I think this is the most outstanding makeover on this channel. I am amazed! Such tiny space hosting so many functions! And yes! The door and the nightstands are SO CREATIVE AND BEAUTIFUL!

As soon as she showed them, I was googling for other options. There is a 5 in 1 nesting cube chair that I would have used. It gives 5 seats when needed, but doesn't leave the space so visually cluttered.
This transformation turned out absolutely stunning. It's so gorgeous. And the closet doors Graham made? Stop it right now, they're incredible. The added storage *is* amazing and deserves 4000 mentions. The one thing I wish could be changed was the countertop around the kitchen sink, as it appeared to be rotting away. I know you can't change everything in a space, especially with it being a rental, so I'm not upset you guys didn't address it. What I am wondering is why a landlord wouldn't have fixed that before someone moved in, because that level of rot has taken yeaaaars.

adding a Murphy bed to that bedroom and closing up the clothing storage would have functionally added an entire room to this couple's house, giving them a hangout space for friendsand even the ability to use the room as a study or hobby space in the daytime. They wanted to be able to spend time with friends in this apt... beyond having tea, 4 people wouldn't fit comfortably.
I feel like it would be such a cute idea for the outlet covers to come with matching coloured screws or even a little nail polish bottle of the same colour to paint over your own screws
This is absolutely lovely! Everything you did was beautiful and so functional. Literally the only change I’d make is, that Roman shade in the kitchen should be green like the one in the bedroom. I’m very partial to that shade of green specifically. You do beautiful work!

Because the gorgeous closet door opens in, it cuts down actual storage space. And you may be able to seat 4 people in the kitchen, but there’s not enough tabletop area to allow all 4 to eat together. The long bench combined with a small round table just don’t make sense. For me, too many stray woods. And Elif had said that Asif is OK with frames as long as they match, but they don’t. So many good elements, but an unusually large number of misses this time around.
I was thinking maybe a rectangular table. The cabinets look so elegant, but the wall paper messed up the look, along with those orange light switch plates and ceiling lamp. The good thing is, those items are easy to change. The other wood in the area looks cheap after looking at the tri-fold door. But the bottom line is the place look much better than it did before.
I mean this with the utmost respect because I love you guys! But, I feel like some plants would have brought in some green and really make the place feel alive!
I know I should have full trust in the team, but this was the first makeover I was like "I'm not seeing the vision," during the process, but the result was absolutely one of my favorites! Eclectic, warm, clean, cozy. Loved every single details. Great job y'all!
What a cute makeover ! A challenge for such a tight space. Article furniture is beautiful and substantial. I just wondered why the fold of the (gorgeous) closet doors went into the closet, which seems to have taken up storage room.
Every last studio fix I watch is always the best one! And yes, this is best one so far! Those side tables!! And Graham is the best! Love the closet doors! And your solution for the sliding shelf... I can go on and on!
All the ideas were sooooo good..!!! The sliding shelves are just a chef’s kiss. 🤌 More storage opportunities: - RHS top of the dresser was just a wall so a vertical cabinet maybe - overhead storage on bed wall could’ve been 4 than just 2. Cutting the wall horizontally completely wouldn’t have damaged the designing either. - similar cabinets doubled up on top of the kitchen cabinets as that space is always just gathering dust and isn’t usually accessible without a ladder or stool. - ceiling to floor cabinet besides fridge rather than just a half one. - I know mirrors are expensive but full sized mirrors on entryway walls would’ve opened up that space sooo much - small succulents on dining table window, especially purple and green and orange and pink color splash 🥰 same with back wall of dining sofa. - the shape of night stands and the etsy lamp on bedroom are soooo cute .

As usual it looks very nice, but there's always a few little things I want to change. You just need to get better at listening to the clients, for one. They said they want to be able to entertain in their bedroom, sometimes. So you should have given them a couch bed or a Murphy bed. They said they didn't like green and they liked bright colors. So I would have kept the kitchen cabinet doors white, an added a more colorful print for the backsplash. Maybe something like tropical or mexican, with white and reds in it. Also that round table should be a pedestal table. Cuz their legs are going to get caught on it. I would maybe have low back chairs there. I think both blinds should be one color. I like the rest.
Yeeees! It's such a pet peeve at this point that Alexandra doesn't pay enough attention to what the clients wish for and simply goes with stuff she likes... Like also the hutch in the kitchen: they wanted to hide things, not put them on display behind glass doors... Pretty and comfortable folding chairs would've been good, since the new chairs are way too bulky and with that little space having the option of putting them away would've been good.
Right? And I think if she actually listened to her clients, that would help stop her designs from looking all the same. For example, her kitchen she did here with the green and the pink, has been done pretty much on every makeover she's done. If she actually listened to the client and made it colorful, maybe she would put in reds and oranges or some other colors for once. I think like last time, the clients kept showing her pictures of darker beige walls in the inspo. And instead of just making the walls beige and using that as a challenge to design around, she just made it pretty much white, which is what she usually does. I'm just saying if she picks up a unique element from each client that they ask for, like a different color wall, that would give her a new challenge to design around, and would help make her designs more unique.
Alexandra hands down this is one of my fav. The clients are so sweet, the thoughtfulness in design, functional, form, fit & fabulousness 4f. It so suits them youthful, full of potential, sweet. This was absolutely amazing!❤
You said you were consciously mixing and matching wood tones but i think it looks chaotic in a small space. Adding caning and marble and faux tile backsplash again, just seems to make it jumbled up. My opinion only, likely unpopular, but i think small spaces need more cohesion.
yeah honestly there were some good points here and there and its obviously nicer than before but i dont think this build was cohesive and really worked super well at the end of the day.
I love that the door is now the same color as the wall because it looks more like a window and less like oh my there’s another door in our kitchen, but your eye goes to the pendant light
This is the best one yet! I also watch the Never Too Small channel, but they do weird stuff like have kids' rooms connected to parents' rooms with no doors. Or storage or space-saving "solutions" that require you to climb up on ladders or do lots of extra stuff. Alexandra always does things that make SENSE.
I don't understand the round table with that big bench that essentially is wasted space since only one person can use the table. Wouldn't a folding rectangle make more sense? Then they could fold into a smaller piece when not in use.
I really was not sure what to make of all the different wood tones in the bedroom until it was complete and now I see how it works together. As everyone said those closet doors are stunning. And the banquet bench & round table are perfect in the kitchen. Such good use of wall space. Another great one! Smart to bring the air conditioner over!

That didn't occur to me, but I panicked at it thinking of trying to access it. Seems like a really bad place for storage - there were more walls.

Really stunning and unexpected...I thought "Wow what a lot if stuff in that space" and "not a fan of so many dufferent wood colors" BUT you proved me wrong! It all looks so good and the place looks so much bigger! And when they saw the reveal I teared up. They love it!

Those pop light sconces are an about time product. About time that we can have sconces without hiring an electrician. This makeover is adorable. I'm surprised a couple can live happily in 250 square feet, but you've made it feel spacious with colors, style and storage.

Love 95% of this, but I don't think the storage above the cabinets will work. I tried doing that in my place based on a video of yours, and everything up there gets covered in a gross film of grease being so close to the stove which has no hood. Closed storage might be a better bet!

This is such an amazing space! I’m blown away by the doors and night stands graham built. The one thing I would change is the milk crates on top of the cabinets. You used them in another makeover and I loved them, but something about this space makes them not as cohesive. Hopefully they have enough storage from all the other spots you added. Love love love!!

Love the decor! Why not use thinner vertical space by the back kitchen door and fridge? And floor to ceiling wardrobe in the bedroom? Vertical space is often underutilized… vertical storage!!! Vertical storage!!! Vertical storage!!! No mini shelves, top to bottom full wall closed storage!!! Love the front door storage tree! So many good ideas - and yet - use the whole wall floor to ceiling for closed storage! Around beds, in kitchens, around your tv etc. in all these studio apartments…
Yes and a curtain in the window of the door. Then a short bin could be put below the window with the tall thin chimney cupboard at an angle by the frig so it's accessible.
This wallcovering rep’s heart exploded when you mentioned using silicone to make the WC more water resistant! Bravo!!! …and Grants creations are stunning as usual. Those nightstands!

I love how cute and functional the shelves in the kitchen are, especially with the sliding without tilting!
However, the chairs look way too big and bulky, pretty and comfortable folding chairs would've been a better option to give them the opportunity to free up space if needed and maybe seat one more person. Especially since it doesn't look like 4 people could sit AND eat there comfortably.
The hutch could've used non-seethrough doors in my opinion. Especially since Elif and Asif mentioned that they would like to hide things better in that corner. Maybe making the doors pop with a nice but not too in you face pattern repeating the green of the cabinets (painted or peel and stick) or the lattice from the closet doors.
The mirror looks really nice there!
The bedroom is too mix-and-not-matchy in my opinion; it makes it less cohesive and cozy than it could've been. The furniture types and wood tones just don't really go too well together, I think.
Also, yes, some storage has been added, but I think giving really up high wall to wall and maybe even on more than one wall book shelves would've been more practical and looked nice (maybe add a little indirect light moment or some cute string lights).
Also, the "closed storage" isn't often really closed. Most of those baskets would've been better with lids (less dusty, hiding clutter better and less fading of clothing etc from light) and bigger. Especially in the kitchen and the "wardrobe".
For the bedroom I feel a ceiling light is missing. Something not too dominant but to give them more light when needed (like outfit check when it's dark outside).
All in all it looks so much better and Elif and Asif look really happy and them loving it is the most important thing.

As soon as she showed them, I was googling for other options. There is a 5 in 1 nesting cube chair that I would have used. It gives 5 seats when needed, but doesn't leave the space so visually cluttered.

This transformation turned out absolutely stunning. It's so gorgeous. And the closet doors Graham made? Stop it right now, they're incredible. The added storage *is* amazing and deserves 4000 mentions.
The one thing I wish could be changed was the countertop around the kitchen sink, as it appeared to be rotting away. I know you can't change everything in a space, especially with it being a rental, so I'm not upset you guys didn't address it. What I am wondering is why a landlord wouldn't have fixed that before someone moved in, because that level of rot has taken yeaaaars.

adding a Murphy bed to that bedroom and closing up the clothing storage would have functionally added an entire room to this couple's house, giving them a hangout space for friendsand even the ability to use the room as a study or hobby space in the daytime. They wanted to be able to spend time with friends in this apt... beyond having tea, 4 people wouldn't fit comfortably.
100% agree that a Murphy bed would've been a considerable upgrade.
Yes, they have lost an entire room by filling it with the bed. Needs to be dual purpose.

I love all your makeovers! One comment regarding the plastic storage bins over the kitchen cabinets... I think this would be a great opportunity to add wicker baskets or wire bins instead of plastic.

Love all the storage added👏👏👏 The bedroom is beyond wonderful.🌈🌈 The kitchen is fabulous. The only change I might make is using folding chairs that could hang on the wall to free up more floor space around the dining table when not in use. Overall, what a great transformation❤❤❤❤
I thought the chairs were beautiful, but they were too big to fit under the table so they wouldn't be comfortable for dinner.
With the right folding chairs, those chairs can be tucked either side of the buffet.
It would be a chef’s kiss if you added two screws in the cover outlet kits in matching colours.
Because the gorgeous closet door opens in, it cuts down actual storage space. And you may be able to seat 4 people in the kitchen, but there’s not enough tabletop area to allow all 4 to eat together. The long bench combined with a small round table just don’t make sense. For me, too many stray woods. And Elif had said that Asif is OK with frames as long as they match, but they don’t. So many good elements, but an unusually large number of misses this time around.

I was thinking maybe a rectangular table. The cabinets look so elegant, but the wall paper messed up the look, along with those orange light switch plates and ceiling lamp. The good thing is, those items are easy to change.
The other wood in the area looks cheap after looking at the tri-fold door. But the bottom line is the place look much better than it did before.
and they said they hated the green walls, so they gave them green cabinets? hahaha

What a cute makeover ! A challenge for such a tight space. Article furniture is beautiful and substantial. I just wondered why the fold of the (gorgeous) closet doors went into the closet, which seems to have taken up storage room.
Every last studio fix I watch is always the best one! And yes, this is best one so far! Those side tables!! And Graham is the best! Love the closet doors! And your solution for the sliding shelf... I can go on and on!

More storage opportunities:
- RHS top of the dresser was just a wall so a vertical cabinet maybe
- overhead storage on bed wall could’ve been 4 than just 2. Cutting the wall horizontally completely wouldn’t have damaged the designing either.
- similar cabinets doubled up on top of the kitchen cabinets as that space is always just gathering dust and isn’t usually accessible without a ladder or stool.
- ceiling to floor cabinet besides fridge rather than just a half one.
- I know mirrors are expensive but full sized mirrors on entryway walls would’ve opened up that space sooo much
- small succulents on dining table window, especially purple and green and orange and pink color splash 🥰 same with back wall of dining sofa.
- the shape of night stands and the etsy lamp on bedroom are soooo cute .
OMG!! I haven't commented for a minute, just enjoyed the makeovers, but DUDE!! Graham!!! The most amazingly satisfying part was that brilliant creation of the lattice!! Those wood tones!!! Gah!! LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! 🤩💕
As usual it looks very nice, but there's always a few little things I want to change. You just need to get better at listening to the clients, for one. They said they want to be able to entertain in their bedroom, sometimes. So you should have given them a couch bed or a Murphy bed. They said they didn't like green and they liked bright colors. So I would have kept the kitchen cabinet doors white, an added a more colorful print for the backsplash. Maybe something like tropical or mexican, with white and reds in it. Also that round table should be a pedestal table. Cuz their legs are going to get caught on it. I would maybe have low back chairs there. I think both blinds should be one color. I like the rest.
Yeeees! It's such a pet peeve at this point that Alexandra doesn't pay enough attention to what the clients wish for and simply goes with stuff she likes...

I agree with the bright colors!! I kept saying, this is all so great but where are the bright pop of colors, and not muted jeweled toned “brights?”
Right? And I think if she actually listened to her clients, that would help stop her designs from looking all the same. For example, her kitchen she did here with the green and the pink, has been done pretty much on every makeover she's done. If she actually listened to the client and made it colorful, maybe she would put in reds and oranges or some other colors for once. I think like last time, the clients kept showing her pictures of darker beige walls in the inspo. And instead of just making the walls beige and using that as a challenge to design around, she just made it pretty much white, which is what she usually does. I'm just saying if she picks up a unique element from each client that they ask for, like a different color wall, that would give her a new challenge to design around, and would help make her designs more unique.

Alexandra hands down this is one of my fav. The clients are so sweet, the thoughtfulness in design, functional, form, fit & fabulousness 4f. It so suits them youthful, full of potential, sweet. This was absolutely amazing!❤
You said you were consciously mixing and matching wood tones but i think it looks chaotic in a small space. Adding caning and marble and faux tile backsplash again, just seems to make it jumbled up. My opinion only, likely unpopular, but i think small spaces need more cohesion.
I agree it looks like a college dorm and doesn't reflect their inspo pic or previous modern style, I don't like it at all
yeah honestly there were some good points here and there and its obviously nicer than before but i dont think this build was cohesive and really worked super well at the end of the day.
I agree. Plus she took away a space to entertain company in the liv room and gave them a bedroom they didn't really need. I'd have put in a sofa bed.

I also watch the Never Too Small channel, but they do weird stuff like have kids' rooms connected to parents' rooms with no doors. Or storage or space-saving "solutions" that require you to climb up on ladders or do lots of extra stuff. Alexandra always does things that make SENSE.
I don't understand the round table with that big bench that essentially is wasted space since only one person can use the table. Wouldn't a folding rectangle make more sense? Then they could fold into a smaller piece when not in use.

I really was not sure what to make of all the different wood tones in the bedroom until it was complete and now I see how it works together. As everyone said those closet doors are stunning. And the banquet bench & round table are perfect in the kitchen. Such good use of wall space. Another great one! Smart to bring the air conditioner over!
