I wonder if any of the aftermarket spools for the sv tw 70, or for any other Daiwa BF reels with a 30mm spool would fit the BF70. That may make all the difference in the world. If that were the case, I would probably sell my Curado for the smoother reel... Not to mention I can't turn my stupid brake dial on the thing! lol
Great reels and video. Im no bass master but been bass fishing a lot for a couple of years. What ive learnt is i wouldn't buy any of those 2 for a bfs reel. Too many great cheaper options on the market.. yes they are built super and will last a long time. For me.. id rather spend more money on a high end rod or 10 😅
I use an ardent tournament pro 100 size and the smallest baits ive thrown on the bps microlite 5'6"ml rod is 1/16 and 3/16 oz and it sends it on 8 lb power pro and 6 lb fc leader.its not throwing any super light baits but its kinda bfs 😂but its definitely fun when u hook a 4 lb smallie on a very underpowered setup lmao
The Bates Hundo LTS is the best but much more $$$$. I own both of these reels and own 2 Daiwas and 1 Curado. The Tatula gets my vote at this price point.
Because some people prefer Daiwa? Shimano doesn't "own" the market in anything. They make good products. Daiwa makes good products. Several companies make good products.
Aside from the DC reels. Shimano doesn't offer me much that Daiwa can't offer me. Biggest thing I like about Daiwa is their braking system and spools. With addition of Hyperdrive these days, to me, Shimano is selling the same reels each year and not much improvement in the technology department.
Shimano fanboys always think there the best I own just about every bfs reel on market Daiwa more consistent shimano smoother but neither cast farther then Chinese reels
great comparison
Just buy the Daiwa TW80 and buy the cheap Gomexus BFS spool at the same time, problem solved. Lowest I go is about 1,5grams . cheers
Im going to try to get Gomexus to send me one of those spools
Don't forget hedgehog studios bfs red casing bearings or roro bearings
@@redzuanhashim1193 The Gomexus spool I bought for my 34mm Diawa included two nice BFS bearings.
Same for Shimano SLX BFS get the custom spool.
Always great comparison videos love learning about new reels and how they compare🤙👍

im sure any spool that works in the Tatula 70, or Alphas SV70 will fit(if you get the plastic piece that goes through the pinion) the Tatula BF70

I been bfs fishing for 10 years and you took the short cut to real knowledge. Great advice. Dont buy neither.

Haibo Arise Elite crushes both these reels for less money
which rod?
I have 3 curados. All have boca bearings and a 90mm gomexus handle and i wouldnt change a thing.
which one is the winner? Aldebaran BFS vs Curado BFS.
The Bates Hundo LTS is the best but much more $$$$. I own both of these reels and own 2 Daiwas and 1 Curado. The Tatula gets my vote at this price point.
Why would you havr spooled tjr reel if you usef 8lb vs 6lb? Thays like saying the heavier line casts further?
with just a little bit of back wind I would have spooled both reels with 6lb. They both hold less 8lb line
DAIWA TATULA BF70 Drag Sound/Clicker?
No drag clicker
So why do you cast differently with the Daiwa than the Shimano? Daiwas casts in the pond shot are all sidearm, Shimano are all overhead.
wrong, I did 10 overhead casts for each and tried to do 5 sidearm for each after
Yep Daiwa USA is way to expensive now. Made over seas cheaper too and charging up the ass.
If you want one, go JDM and save hundreds$$$
I'd rather have the dependability of the Shimano regardless of how the cast.
Daiwa consistently underperforms next to Shimano but is more expensive ?
pretty much these days. In the past the comparable Daiwa underperformed but didnt cost more than the comparable Shimano
My experience is completely the opposite. I own both Shimano and Daiwa.
wow.. I paid about the equivaent of $110 USD for my Tatula here in Korea, why is everything getting out of hand....
They sell the Tatula BF70 in Korea?
Daiwa bringing their B game to the US Market once again 😂
Soloking acura better than both and under $40.
Soloking do make nice reel. However I once took apart one of their reel to clean and I couldn't put it back together anymore, lol
Why bother putting up any brand of real against Shimano? Shimano owns the market in every single category by a wide margin.
