Great Video Capt. Lou !! been fishing BFS for a couple years now . I run 10 # braid with a 6# fluorocarbon leader & 12 # braid with an 8# co-polymer leader. I also run a rod with 6# straight fluorocarbon and one with straight 6# mono , I've landed some 3# & 4# largemouth on that gear.. they felt like Whales !!!! Lol
It really doesn't Matter bro you want be casting true bfs with shimano budget bfs reels without upgrading bearings and spool. I use a falcon coastal xg grinder ml 1/16 to 1/2 oz my gear is suited more for saltwater. You could've save money buying the Slx they are the same reel just different bearing count

Stock for stock i felt like my Dark Wolf Ultra casts noticeably better than my Curado. Upgraded with roro bearings though and its amazing!

using a bfs reel on rods that big and heavy is pointless, even your baits are huge.
