GREAT video Ermin!! This had to take some time, thanks! I would LOVE a video from you reviewing RF2's new BMW M4 Class 1 along with your setup tips...PRETTY PLEASE :)
Great review. Lots of hard work - Many thanks. My comments : Having recently achieved 1'000 hours ACC (GT3), I decided to concentrate some time learning RF2 and drive a Porsche around Nürburgring Nordschleife both GR3 and GTE. Immediately I was aware of some problems ! The RF2 GT3 tyres should be Pirelli DHD or perhaps DHE and running at 190 kPa - 23°C amb. However, at those pressures the Porsche GT3 is just sliding around and understeers if using a default setup. I must drop down the 150 kPa front and 140 kPa rear to generate any grip from the tyres and to balance HOT tyre pressures. I know from Pirelli that that would lead to small deflations every time you touched a curb, ( what we have too often in ACC even at recommended pressures and which drives me mad )! . Erim, if you have time, based on your RF2 experience, maybe you could provide some information. That would be brilliant and I’m sure other readers are interested in this discussion. Keep safe. All quoted tyre pressures are HOT after 75% of a lap Nürburgring Nordschleife - measured with Motec Test conditions : dry, 9:00 AM, cloudy, 23°C Rubbered in and saved 190 kPa = 27.5 psi 140 kPa = 20.3 psi Going onto GTE, Michelin tyres I presume , does anybody know the recommended hot running pressures? What would be the optimum HOT running pressures for the Porsche 911 RSR GTE ) Does anybody have a tyre data sheet ?
There are huge issues with the rF2 tyre model at present, which you're finding out about there. Unfortunately you cannot go off real life pressure recommendations for rF2 at present. It's something we've hoped that they would address for some years.
Note that AC's version were created before they flattened the flugplatz in late 2015ish because of a GT-R GT3 flip into air and killing spectators. Unlike RF2's version you can just flatout on the flugplatz overcrest in GT3's , you'll have to lift-off before the creast in AC. AMS2's version feel's like in-between.
We need this with the Le Mans track. Such an iconic track, but the only realistic versions are the ones in iRacing and rFactor 2. A shame there is no realistic version in AC or AMS2
If they bring back a lot of stuff from Pcars2 and maybe get the license, we should get it back, hopefully. I mean we got Daytona, GTEs, Nordschleife, Silverstone and Hockenheim with old layouts. But man do I hope Reiza uncludes the original Daytona. Might even get the old layouts, the old 1970 Le Mans in Pcars2 was scary. At least I hope we get the Pcars2 content in AMS2.
Ahh, a video from a true obsessive! Nice work Ermin. Also quite a good way to try and embed the corner sequence in my mind, which I still struggle with.
Well it is hard to tell. AMS2 is the most imersive and lifelike. It has great graphics, textures, colors... almost real. It is bumpy and it has the most recent changes of the track. rFactor 2 seems to be quite strange in textures and colors with the worst carusel but it is geometricly correct. AC is the oldest but to me, closest in AMS2 when we speak of imersive and lifelike feeling. It is very bumpy, the curbs are very dangerous and altimetly, it is the only one that gives you increased sence of danger as it should be in reality and true it is not forgiving at all, which for me, it is good. I never drove at the ring, but from what i see in real videos it is very very dangerous and you can crash anytime with the smallest mistake you will make if you aren't a skillful driver. Maybe AC exaggerate a little bit on this but i love that sense of danger.
This!!!!! This is an awesome, no brilliant sim racing video! Love it! I’d say the AC version is king but that’s because the RF2 version takes forever to load and I don’t own AMS2 as I’m not sure about it. lol Excellent work Ermin! Cheers 🍻😎🤙
The AMS2-track is visually new, but the laserscanned data is the same then the one from AC, iRacing and Raceroom, so rF2 has the latest laserscan. Real life GT3-cars have 5% less power than usual and need to run 75 mm minimum ride height with this slowest BOP in GT3-racing. Since the pro-drivers can run 8:12 laptimes despite the disadvantages (but with re-paved sections not in any version yet), lap-times close to 8 min. might be realistic with about 30 hp more power and better ground-effect. The Nordschleife needs a car-setup far softer than for any other track, pro-drivers are saying.
I find it misleading that AMS 2 are calling it a '2020' version when the only difference appears to be superficial (wall at Hatzenbach). I'm not aware of the track being re-scanned since the resurfacing, and it's fairly obvious by the way the mesh feels when you drive the AMS version.
AC is the OG, I remember the hype when they announced it. What hurts AC graphically are mostly the cardboard trees nowadays. They just... don't blend in that nicely. AMS2: hold my suspension. I was so hyped for 1.2 but I keep disappointing myself. Fingers crossed Reiza can turn it around. rF2: the PBR update gets some flack here, but for my eyes how the road looks is the best among all sims. Haven't played around much in Nords (hold my loading times), maybe I should try the new M4 Class 1 there :)
In AM2 is not bumpy cars but bumpy camera, head moving, not car. In option reduced to 0 and good bye bumpy cars. In my opinion the most complete version Nordschleife is in AM2. I think after watch this video RF2 is very good, but not good as AM2 version. AM2 is not PC2, the same graphics engine, but not the same game engine. After last update to version 1.2 this game is better and better. Kerbs in AM2 must be updated in Nordschleife, definitely.
@@NuScorpii He didn't really explain though, did he? He basically said iR and R3E would just lose anyway, so he excluded them from the get go, which isn't much of an explanation. rFactor2 Nordschleife is the best version I've tried. After two weeks of being impressed with AMS2's Porsche GTE at Nordschleife in VR I tried rFactor2 again and now AMS2 feels terrible. Will AMS2 improve their physics to rFactor2 levels, will rFactor2 improve their graphics to AMS2 levels..
The original Assetto Corsa is still the king for me. I absolutely love the ACC but I only have PS4 and the gameplay is not 100% smooth. I prefer the AC. The sequel has to be pretty extraordinary if it ever becomes my driving game of choice. AC is just legendary.
I agree rFactor is the best. I driven most of my hundreds of lap in AC and visited Nordschleife 4 times. AC cars set very different times and it is easier to come close to real life times with the Ferraris.
AMS2 seems to have a more realistic suspension model than ACC - in ACC the spring rates have to be set as soft as possible to get best lap times. How about doing a comparison on that topic..?
Overall, id have to say AC gets my vote. With all the graphics enhancements, extended physics and sound mods it doesnt compromise that much in any one dimension. When i want to drive the nordschleife i always boot up AC. Just gotta stay off those curbs lol

for me personaly rf2 and iracing version are the most accurate in all aspects. roadsurface, curbshape, peripheral vision (trees, landshape ect). AC and RRE and AMS2 might have an laserscanned roadsurface but other aspects as curbshape and peripheral vision are way off on that versions. also you need to have in mind that ir,ac,rre and ams2 scans are from 2015 and rf2 scan is from 2018. rf2 has the renewed flugplatz part.
All the laser scanned tracks should be 100% identical. So it really comes down to which game drives the best because quite a few games have a laser scanned Nurburgring. If laser scanned track arent identical, we have a faker amongst us!
Be interesting to see how Automobilista 2 drives with those curbs corrected. Given how bouncy the car appears to be in the current state it could make for an interesting drive and could be why they have made them a bit too shallow.

What is that ambient track that starts playing at 17:00. Is that Fallout? Or Elder Scrolls? Sounds familiar but cannot figure out (or find online)
if there was a content manager for rF2 that would be my go to sim.
There is, its just sh*t lol, look for it in game.
I wish every game had a Content Manager. I'm assuming you mean like the mod program for Assetto Corsa.
rF2 has a content manager.
Outstanding video. Not that you have this much time on your hands; but it would be fun to see a comparison between (the sims of your choice) surrounding Spa.
Great work, man!
R3E has a laser scanned version.
Suprisef he left out raceroom, blasphemy
@@rextuller3498 cus he is an RF2 fanboy. Seems pointless to do a Nordschleife comparison video and then just dismiss several other popular versions. I'd like to see the comparison, especially since I don't own every title.
@@Krovven fo real, RF2 aint even that good or mainstream this dude in shambles...in the mud. needs to find guidance
@@rextuller3498 ,RF2 as the best physics engine and FFB,that all that matters.
@@Krovven R3E ist the same Version like AC and iRacing, that´s the point, the rF2 scan is standalone and AMS2 say, they are using the most recent data, so there are the 3 big versions at the moment in the video ;)
GREAT video Ermin!! This had to take some time, thanks! I would LOVE a video from you reviewing RF2's new BMW M4 Class 1 along with your setup tips...PRETTY PLEASE :)
rF2 still King.
Especially in terms of track quality and FFB of course.
Great review. Lots of hard work - Many thanks.
My comments :
Having recently achieved 1'000 hours ACC (GT3), I decided to concentrate some time learning RF2 and drive a Porsche around Nürburgring Nordschleife both GR3 and GTE.
Keep safe.
All quoted tyre pressures are HOT after 75% of a lap Nürburgring Nordschleife - measured with Motec
Test conditions : dry, 9:00 AM, cloudy, 23°C Rubbered in and saved
190 kPa = 27.5 psi 140 kPa = 20.3 psi
Going onto GTE, Michelin tyres I presume , does anybody know the recommended hot running pressures?
What would be the optimum HOT running pressures for the Porsche 911 RSR GTE )
Does anybody have a tyre data sheet ?
There are huge issues with the rF2 tyre model at present, which you're finding out about there. Unfortunately you cannot go off real life pressure recommendations for rF2 at present.
It's something we've hoped that they would address for some years.
@@Ermz Many thanks for you confirmation. I stick with 20 psi for the time being.
At least I hope we get the Pcars2 content in AMS2.
how did you get the grello skin on rf2?
If I could swap rf2 load times with that of AMS2, I would actually play it more than never.
Does Ams2 have a laser scanned tracks?
yep, nurb is laser scanned (i think)
Ahh, a video from a true obsessive! Nice work Ermin. Also quite a good way to try and embed the corner sequence in my mind, which I still struggle with.
iRacing and RF2 are my favs still
Well it is hard to tell.
Ctrl K is your friend in AMS2 to get the camera where you need or want. Only it wont save for next time :(
I knew you would say rfactor. My choice to. Can't wait to see what AC 2 is going to be like. A few people have been talking about it coming. Will see
What were the times posted in each title?
This!!!!! This is an awesome, no brilliant sim racing video! Love it!
I’d say the AC version is king but that’s because the RF2 version takes forever to load and I don’t own AMS2 as I’m not sure about it. lol
Excellent work Ermin!
I'll stick with raceroom and AC versions, but nice review.
Definitely agree about RF2. Really enjoyed this detailed and knowledgeable discussion of the Nordschleife!
is driving regular cars an option?
EH made a 20 minute video so he had an excuse to watch and talk about Kevin Estre and RF2 Nords lol. I respect it
Hi, where would you place the Raceroom one now?
Hey. Probably slightly below the AC one!
@@Ermz Thanks :)
Ah continuing with the epic Kevin Estre lapping of Nords! Nice
i've spent at least 2000hr lapping nordshleife in ac, it is -my- best
Hmmm you're clearly a Nurburg fan. Make you a favour, use rF2 for Nurburgring. Believe me.
Love AMS2 at all... better graphic, feeling, driving, physiks,FFB,weather, Imo. (PC with Wheel and Pedals)
Looks like you used my Porsche 912 skin from RD, if yes I'm happy to see it 😀
I have about 4,000 miles logged on the AMS2 version.
Ermin, try Nordschleife in VR version on this games. And, Iracing and RRRE versions to.
Not a comparison video unless you do ALL the relevant versions like Iracing and and raceroom. Outcome may not differ in ones mind but still.
You forgot RaceRoom in this comparison though.
R3E can't even get the GP circuit right.
Did you watch the video? He does explain.
@@NuScorpii He didn't really explain though, did he? He basically said iR and R3E would just lose anyway, so he excluded them from the get go, which isn't much of an explanation. I am not sure why iR and R3E should be inferior to AC for instance. They are all based on laser scanned data from few years ago, there's no reason why AC should be superior by default...
@@panvlk in fact the iR version is the most accurate beside the rf2 version in all aspects. not only roadsurface but also curbshapes and peripheral vision. Also the iR, AC, and R3E versions share the same Laserscan. in 2015 the nos got laserscanned by a french company and all three sims bought that laserscan.
rFactor2 Nordschleife is the best version I've tried. After two weeks of being impressed with AMS2's Porsche GTE at Nordschleife in VR I tried rFactor2 again and now AMS2 feels terrible. Will AMS2 improve their physics to rFactor2 levels, will rFactor2 improve their graphics to AMS2 levels..
no and no I would say.
Raceroom Racing Experience?
Brilliant video, thanks for this
The original Assetto Corsa is still the king for me.
AC cars set very different times and it is easier to come close to real life times with the Ferraris.
which demostrates its too easy for average sim racers
i want to get rfactor2, but my question is,are
the car free? i mean you can buy it with ingame cash , or u need to paid with real money for each car?
Excellent video
Iracing?? It's pretty good
iRacing I have all simulators and for me iRacing it's the best version
but it´s the same like the AC and Raceroom versions ;)
AMS2 seems to have a more realistic suspension model than ACC - in ACC the spring rates have to be set as soft as possible to get best lap times. How about doing a comparison on that topic..?
What is with the iRacing Version? This is the major sim...
I really don't know...I just get into a zone when I drive this track and don't really care what version I am driving 😀This track is so amazing 👍
Overall, id have to say AC gets my vote. With all the graphics enhancements, extended physics and sound mods it doesnt compromise that much in any one dimension. When i want to drive the nordschleife i always boot up AC. Just gotta stay off those curbs lol
I’ve just brought myself about 1899$ of sim racing gear new to hobby I’ve been playing iracing but I’ve mixed emotions on it with the amount of stuff I need to buy just to enjoy it does anyone have any recommendations to any other sim racers that are like iracing with out all there wired UI launch/picking races and no minus transactions to the point your locked to all scuffed race cars etc like mx5 I’ve been driving that race for a week now and I can not for life of me get a win I’ve been 3rd but I’m so over the mx5 I wanna do the big races but I don’t wanna spend 100s on buying the races and tracks
Can you please do a similar video but for Bathurst?
*What good is the most accurate Track, if the Physics aren't good, so the total Package has to be the best....we conclude: "Most accurate Track + perfect Physics = AWESOME Experience" ;)*
AMS2 is the most fun and immersive one for me. plus, it is the only rendition of the nordschleife where i lap under 8:20 in the 911. the only downside is that you can only drive with a maximum of 29 ai
31AI
I thought that my ACC broke when it comes to sound of 911 on 6th gear :P but in real life it sounds the same 😲
Would be interesting to see how iRacing and Raceroom's versions compare as well.
it´s the same like the AC version
for me personaly rf2 and iracing version are the most accurate in all aspects. roadsurface, curbshape, peripheral vision (trees, landshape ect).
AMSL 2 is bumpy? of course, try a gt3 setup superstiff of SPA on the nurb... i wonder why in other sim std setup is good for everything, Nurb is fot ultrasoft setup.
This video is really well done! Confirming my choice of AMS2 since I’m all in for immersion. Agree with you about AMS2 being most easy to drive
Ah! Well done and just in time to buy Nordschleife for RF2 and AMS2 with the Steam Summer sales! My wallet does not thank you (but my feelings do)! :)
