Have flown their Biz Class numerous times and it is a good product on the A380 - very good. The 777 is okay. But if they didn't fix the 2-3-2 layout during the refurb, they are not going to fix it. Qantas, Cathay, Singapore, etc...have 2-2-2 layouts and have for years. Nice vid.
I believe from one of their press releases that they’ll consider creating a business class product similar to the A380. Might even seen it on the a350 next year
A 2-3-2 layout is a travesty for a business class traveller. I've flown with EVA on its London-Bangkok route and sat in its Royal Laurel Class (Business Class) cabin. The layout is 1-2-1 and so everyone gets an aisle seat. The seat and seating area is spacious and comfortable and EVA's in-flight service outstanding. I've flown on the Emirates A380 in the business class cabin on several occasions and the seating configuration (1-2-1) is as it should be on their 777s. I wonder what the seating configuration will be when Emirates takes delivery of its 777X aircraft?
I’m also booked on Emirates Business Class 777-300er from Sydney - Dubai, flight EK417. How do I find out if my flight has the upgraded seats? When selecting my seat number on the 3D tour the Emirates website shows the ‘new’ seats. Is this accurate or an advertising trick? Their customer service team also couldn’t confirm when I provided my flight details.
Hm, to be completely honest I'm not sure. I haven't studied the seat maps to find any subtle differences that may indicate which product you will have. At the moment it's still up in the air. I had a friend fly out from Sydney last month and he had the old style seat on 777 I believe.
@@LeisureFlyer just confirmed all Australian routes have old configuration. Very misleading as the 3D layout for my seat advertises the new seats. Seen a NZ couple successfully be compensated for this issue.
Great review and it has been a big help for when I book a trip. I would not like to fly in either the 2 window or the 3 aisle seats as you would alway have to disturb or be disturbed by your neighbour every time someone wanted to use the toilet.
Yeah, no thanks. I'd describe it as 'business lite'. Basically premium economy with fake wood finish. How tall are you for the lay down seat? I'd either do it in economy and put the extra money towards the trip/avo-and-toast, or fly a different airline with 'proper' business. Legacy business? The good ol' days business? Is this where the industry is heading?
Usually I avoided EK in favour of SQ. Why would I fly 2-3-2 when I could have 1-2-1. But this particular route gave me a reason to try EK. Thank you for watching :)
Done a380 to uk auzzy many times dubai ,was very disapointed to have a plane a380 changed to brisbane to 777 just guterd . Would not do 2 x3x2 would or will look at other airlines .my go to has always been emerates
Having flown both the Qatar and am locked into flying the Emirates B 777 on what an Australian calls long range I simply am not convinced that either airline ought to offer this craft as an alternative to either the A 380 or the A 350. They simply do not measure up.....three in the middle? Wake up when your clients are paying top dollar!
EK has always benefitted from a halo effect, from their first class. So people automatically assume "oh wow EK business will be amazing" when it's really dependent on the specific aircraft product.
If you have an Emirates booking reference, I believe you can go to manage my booking / select seats / and then there's an option to "check your seat in 3D"
i hate this config, still no aisle access. the A380 is good. I mean, even TK has 1-2-1 config now. they need a serious refurb if they want to be on top. they should look at SQ's 777, 1-2-1 and really wide seats.
100% agreed. The EK business class benefits from a halo effect. Everyone is 'wow-d' by the first class and A380 bar etc. but the 777 hard product is pretty far behind the competition nowadays. Thanks for watching!
Oh God, I hope I never fly on the 777. I flew A380 to Mauritius and back separate pod in business class no walking over someone else’s bed in the middle of the night very nice. I really don’t like the 232 configuration I will try to avoid the 777 until they upgrade it to something more similar to the A380 configuration.
While I am happy to fly emirates and we will take bus class I am disappointed that the seat layout does not seem to allow couples to chat or dine easily.
I’ve done business class on both Emirates planes .. the a380 format is very decent , but the b777 (old version) was awful .. I was in an aisle seat near the window and felt very exposed, especially when I was lying down.. I wonder if any senior management at Emirates actually believe in this ridiculous (it’s 2023 now) configuration , apart from Sir Tim CEO ..? The ‘new’ version simply doesn’t address the massive problem .. and it seems the other big problem with their business class (underwhelming food) hasn’t been addressed either .. my guess is that they’re trying not to invest proper money into the b777 business products until they’ve recouped all their losses incurred during the pandemic..
Agreed! I actively avoided EK for a while because I just preferred to fly on SQ. In my opinion, Emirates always benefitted from a halo effect. People saw the glitzy First Class and assumed that type of product and service would follow through to Business... when in reality the vast majority of their 777 fleet is/was pretty sub-par for modern day Business Class.
But not in Economy long haul recently - stansted, dubai, singapore, perth and return! Cattle class bucket seating configuration, sockets inactive, tonka toy headsets, hot food options dire and ran out, acrid coffee - ugh! Crews were exhausted and harrassed - had to reprimand one purser as to his attitude - shameful!
The 2-3-2 configuration on business is a crime. Thanks for the update, I'll make sure i avoid Emirates unless it's an A380-only route
If you're flying with someone it's not as bad. But flying solo, A380 for sure! Thanks for watching :)
booked a380 and gone to check in and its changed to a 777 -.-
😭 wah.
Emirates flights to South America are only served by either 777-200LR or 777-300ERs. No a380s

Everybody here complaining about the layout while most of you couldn’t afford it anyways 😂

Thanks for watching! Indeed 2-3-2 is well behind the standard nowadays. Surely the 777X will have to have a new product... only time will tell!
Btw I didn't see any "Mattress Topper". They should provide this to passengers. Overall nice EK flight Review. Loving it. ❤️✈️
I Have Not Try Out Emirates Business Class On The B777-300ER Yet Like Business Cllss On Emirates A380.Great Trip Report
Thank you!
3 seating in c 8:15 class is a no go !!! Ek looks to have a top class on the 380 but a failure on the 777 !

Still feels like premium economy seats.
The layout is definitely a bit PE level, but a flatbed is undoubtedly business class. Thanks for watching!

That's a big downgrade for sure :(
Quatar is head and shoulders above both Emerites Business Class models.
Does anyone know if all of the 777-300ER are updated or only some? I am flying from stansted on Monday and wanted to make sure it is this version
Not sure if there's a way to guarantee, but some updated layouts are 2-2-2 instead of the older 2-3-2.
Going to Cairo from India this December. Will be flying on both - A380 and 777. Wish me luck :)
Good luck! Fingers crossed for the new 777s!

Are menu free in business class? Means can we order anything we want to?
It's not as customisable as in First class, where you can pick whenever you want to eat and whatever you want from the Menu.
Is there a way of knowing what spec plane you have in advance of boarding if its a 777?
If you have an Emirates booking reference, I believe you can go to manage my booking / select seats / and then there's an option to "check your seat in 3D"
Did they weigh your carry on luggage upon checking in flying business class?
Not for this flight. I've rarely had my hand luggage checked to be honest.
If you take down the seat, the passenger by the window can’t get out?
They'll have to jump over you to get out. The outside seat blocks the path to the aisle.

A380 is definitely preferable if available on the same route. But with so many EK 777s, it's sometimes unavoidable. Thanks for watching!
While I am happy to fly emirates and we will take bus class I am disappointed that the seat layout does not seem to allow couples to chat or dine easily.
You never know... some couples might enjoy that 😂
I would like to ask; where is the bath in the toilet? You should know better that in Australia we don’t call the toilet the bathroom.
Bro u need a checkup

Still 2+2+2, not good enough. 380 is so much better in the 1+ 2+1 set up
@@garysuthers-zp5po 2-3-2 even worse! Thankfully (?) the 777-200LR has been retrofitted to be 2-2-2 instead of the 3 in the middle.
Noooooooooo the food is the most important part of all this if I got this food then never flying again😂
Seriously!!!
2-3-2 arrangement in business class?
Yep, they get away with it too!
Qatar Q-suite is better
Is it a business class? Definitely no, just an upgraded version of premium economy class.
What rip off it’s A380 only for emirates business

Don’t like this seating plan - limited privacy!
Definitely less than ideal for a top airline business class!
2-3-2 lol.. what in the world were they thinking. Yuck.
Well Emirates just announced they will be re-fitting the 777s, but with so many of them in the fleet, I'm sure it will take a while...
That business class layout is an absolute disgrace and a total waste of money. So not impressed 🤮
For a premium airline, yes the layout really should be better IMO. Thanks for watching :)
Everything else is on point tho…
Bathroom? Was there a bath in it oh you mean toilet you’re meant to be Australiain mate
idk im too used to using the words interchangeably. Proper Emirates bathroom video to come (A380 with shower) that counts right?
