I noticed the Pilot seemed to double check his port side wing. So close to a mountain that he wanted to check with his very own eyes. Do they get many emergency landings there?
The best part about the video was that the camera was on a gyro stabilizer and the aircraft was moving. 100% increase in viewing experience. Very well shot.... and very well flown.
I suddenly have this crazy idea of a gyro seat on an airplane. The seat remains parallel to the earth surface throughout all maneuvers. It would be fuuny seeing everybody else pitch up and down and roll left to right while you remain upright alone throughout the flight 😂

I flew into Paro in 2008. This video brought back memories of the most unforgettable approach and landing I’ve ever experienced. Seeing houses on the hillsides at eye level and so close as we descended. Those pilots are incredibly skilled, and have nerves of steel.
Quickly switched to full screen viewing. Wow! Terrain close on either side... where the heck is the runway? Pilot zigzagging thru mountain passes... still don't see runway. Plane descending but... oh... there's the runway. Whoa... last second turn to line up with centerline. OMG! These guys have balls of Titanium. Much respect!!!
