I would buy an ultra dock when it will be bagless. Untill then, autoempty dock all the way.
I wish it had the option for both. That is the ideal solution.
Honestly, I'll be buying the one with the auto empty dock only. The price difference is too big for me currently to a 50% increase in price for something I can do myself quickly. The bin emptying is the most annoying part after all. If I had more money, I'd go for the ultra instead of plus though.

I prefer the empty wash fill dock ultra definitely! It includes all the feature I can dream of a perfect robotic vacuum. It’s designed to need bags but I can accept that because emptying the dustbin will be very much easier! Other than that, the mop washing and water tank refilling features are just amazing!
I was looking to buy a mid range robot but I really need that mopping feature. God damn it lol.
I'm still waiting for the double cleaning brush for the S7 MaxV Ultra to come out.
It would be great if roborock adds bagless option and white color on the new dock🤔 I called Roborock support and they said the dock of ultra will be open for purchase very soon. Guess it will be more expensive than the auto empty one?

I already have the S7maxV and I am going to purchase the empty wash fill dock in June when it's available. Honestly, I don't understand why people purchase auto empty dock for S7maxV. The biggest advantage of getting a S7maxV is that it supports auto washing mop cloth when it works with empty wash fill dock. Anyway, I can't wait to try the empty wash fill dock myself.

The S7 MaxV works with either of these docks.

No. Only the S7 MaxV.

No the S7 does not have the right charging contacts.
What happens if you use the ultra dock without the bag for the dust bun??
Are you asking if you accidentally forget to put a bag in? It will run the vacuum motor without a bag on there so make sure a bag is in there or you will quickly kill the vacuum motor since there is now no filter to keep dirt and debris out of the motor. The bag is the filter on these.

I don't know about the S7 Pro, but the S7 and S7 Maxv are the same.
@@jamie.andrews what about the filter? I've noticed that S7 filter has plastic on both sides. This, sometimes, makes hair/dust get stuck in between the plastic and the filter, even after a max full auto empty. From the videos I saw, S7 Pro Ultra solve that issue. There is plastic only on one side. I'm not sure if I made myself clear. If I did, can you check if S7 MaxV default filter has plastics on both side like the S7? Sorry for so many questions. I've just bought a S7 Pro Ultra.
@@MacumbacaoExtrema the filters are all the same after closely looking at mine again. They are even the same filter as the S8 Pro and the new S7 Max. Maybe a different design for a different market?
@@jamie.andrews just checked. The Roborock S7 Pro Ultra filter does not have plastic on both sides. This is an improvement they made that is also available on the Q Revo and S8. The mopping pad is also not detachable, like the S8. Since the S7 Pro Ultra came after S7 MaxV, besides no Reactive AI 2.0, there are some small improvements and changes (I don't see the not removable mopping pad as an improvement, but looks like Roborock does)

The charging dock on the S7 plus is way to slow and the vacuum battery stops at 20% so technically only get 80% battery usage which also sucks. I do love my S7 though. The software for navigating needs to improve gets redundant or stuck to frequently.
Hey Shane! They battery stops at 20% to preserve the battery longevity. It is bad to completely discharge these batteries. For people with larger homes the fast changing abilty of the S7 MaxV might be worth a look. Unfortunately the S7 does not have fast charging capabilities built into it.
@@jamie.andrews Touche my friend. The battery is the same size though on the newer vacuum and the suction is higher thus I'd assume the newer model doesn't run as long.
@@shanew7361 Robodoes not make it easy to unlock that extra suction though. You can only use it in vacuum only mode. You have to toggle a swich and it resets after each cleaning. Most people will likely not do this imo so the S7 MaxV is really no more powerful than the S7. I also found no real world difference in the power setting. When you enable Max+ Roborock has a disclaimer about power consumption.

@@shanew7361 I have an S7 for a year already and not sure what you mean with navigation needs improvements, Roborock navigation is known for one of the best out there. Regarding the battery i vacuum my flat of 70m2 and finishes with about 80-82% battery, are you vacuuming a castle or how do you do for depleting the battery?
Nothing will clean the mop as good the laundry machine ... Even if its not out yet, I can already tell that this is a marketing type of stuff
If it was Marketing that means I would work for Roborock and get paid for doing this but I do not. I do this to help people make choices and a lot of work goes into this for pennies.

@@jamie.andrews the whole dock station container should be dishwasher proof and antibacterial tempered glass for this kind of money + uv light cure after every session.
