    The only question they asked in my interview is how they were getting my $85. Thanks for the video!

    Hello! Thank you for your tips! I just had mine today 07/06/22 and it was very easy. It only took me less than 5 mins. Since I’m an immigrant I just provided my greencard and drivers license, then they’ll scan your fingerprints, making sure your infos are correct, answer questions (Yes or No) and take you a photo. My advice is it’s always better to have an appointment so it’s more faster and easy. The price is still $85.

    Thank you for sticking to the title of this video. So many videos on TH-cam giving detailed information about Global Entry while others go off topic when talking about the TSA Precheck process. Very informative,

    Hi, Shannon, your explanation about the TSA Precheck help me a lot. The small detail like you can check the box on the application ✅ “walk-in” I am a busy guy during the week I choose the facility open on Saturday and of course, checked ✅” walk-in” this small thing solve my problem… thank you.

    It took me a few weeks to get an appt. for TSA Pre. I got my approval the day after my interview. I just got my KTN in May 2023.

    It might be good to mention that the Global Entry program is also available for a limited number of foreign nationals. I.e., I'm Dutch and was able to apply for the program. Don't know how it's going to work out yet, but that's beside the point. I hope I can do the "Interview upon Arrival" thing when I get to Atlanta in November. It should definitely speed things up on my future travels to and from the US 🙂The basic TSA PreCheck is only available to US citizens, but it is included in the Global Entry program.

    I got global entry about 2 years ago. It includes TSA Pre. I got conditional approval after maybe 5 days and schedule an interview about two weeks later. The Interview took less than 10 minutes. I got KTN after conditional approval, but I could use it after interview. Highly recommend this program for international travelers.

    Global Entry is great for international travel. Remember walking through Dulles many times and going to the check-in machine (no immigration booth), 2 minutes and you're done. HOWEVER, you still need to wait 10-15 minutes for the bags to arrive. Unfortunately my membership is now expired.

    • @worldwideshannonegenz
      @worldwideshannonegenz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I've used my TSA Precheck a few times now and I just walk through security with 0 waiting - it is so easy! After Covid, I should definitely get Global Entry when this expires.

    Once they got my $85 two months ago they lost interest in me. At Day 59 they finally made me a number, but they didn’t bother to notify me.. I had to find out by checking my status on the website.

    Hi, I am an US. Citizen. I am going to apply for TSA pre check do they ask you about any Immigration Status, like how I became US. Citizen. Was your interview conducted by an Immigration Officer?

    • @worldwideshannonegenz
      @worldwideshannonegenz  ปีที่แล้ว

      They do ask about your citizenship status, where you were born, etc. Because I was born in the USA, they did not ask how I became a US citizen.
      And no, the interview is not by a Immigration Officer - the interviews are done by the employees of wherever your enrollment center is. After the interview, your application is reviewed/approved by TSA.
