TSA Precheck is a service offered by the Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, that allows airline travelers to access a special security screening lane at the airport. These special lanes are much less crowded, so you're able to get through security much faster. Plus you don't have to remove your shoes, light jackets, or belts, and you can keep your laptop and 3-1-1 liquids in your bag! How cool is that?
TSA Precheck costs $85 for domestic travel and it's good for 5 years.

I believe my uncle has the TSA pre-check it’s definitely something that me and my family want to get as well 💗 When you’re signing up do you have to do it individually or if you are a couple are you able to get the same time so you’re not having to go there multiple different times

I used to travel via Southwest from CT to LA. Because I was a senior and registered frequent traveler, they would put me in TSA precheck. Then I had a trip and didn't use SW. Almost missed my plane because of construction at JFK. When I got home, I immediately signed up for TSA PreCheck (2014) and have had it ever since. Makes all the difference in the world.

I've had precheck and global entry since.... I think 2012 or 2013 and it's been such a blessing lol. Totally worth it. And many travel oriented credit cards reimburse the fee (or part of it) which is awesome!! All of it is awesome, but I love the part where you don't have to take off your shoes lol.
Fun fact even in major airports the TSA line is not *always* open... so annoying. I was flying out of Boston Logon on a night flight and the TSA precheck line had closed at like 8 pm or something ridiculous womp womp. Many airports that don't have it or have it but close it early though will honor it somewhat and like mark your boarding pass so you still dont have to take off your shoes and take out laptops/liquids but you have to flag down a TSA person in the security line to let them know WHY you havent taken off your shoes, etc. Merp. Better than nothing but like.... let's make this universal hahaha.
I cannot believe we waited this long to do TSA. We used it for the first time this trip and absolutely loved the convenience. I always hated taking off my shoes. It’s so icky. Jen xo

We had the same experience when we got ours! It really is super easy. But we absolutely LOVED it. Also, Wichita does have it! 😂 That’s where we live.

Midway is awesome now for sure. But in Ft Myers this past spring I did get thru regular TSA quicker than my sister who had precheck

We have a lot of anticipated travel in the next two years and have been strongly considering precheck or the global entry. Doesn't look too bad, but finding the time to go to a registered place is slowing us down.
This was so easy to do. And, there were quite a few places close by. Jen xo
Pre is worth the money. Many credit cards will reimburse your fees for Pre, make sure to check. After I paid for all of ours I found out that my Amex will cover the costs. Also carry the KTN numbers with you in case your airline didn't record it (happened to us) and having the numbers saved us from going into the normal line.
With SW it will automatically print on our boarding pass when we check in. But we will bring it with just in case. Jen xo
@@JenandJoeontheGo We at a time it didn't automatically print on the boarding pass and had to provide our numbers to the agent and have the boarding passes printed again.
Do you match the text printed on the passport or the signature which in our case includes a middle initial?
Our divers licenses include middle initial in the printed text.

They already give me KTN number
My question is do they just give you KTN number or do they will mail to you TSA precheck card

I heard this is only for American passport. Is that right ?
I’m not sure. That’s something I wouldn’t have thought to look up as we live in the US. You’d have to check with your country. Jen xo
