Funny because for the stuff you do this is probably the best camera setup. Have you seen the Movmax car mount setup for the Osmo Pocket 3, I think you’d really benefit from it.
We love our P3! So useful and inspiring. We find that with its fixed aperture and focal lengths you have to think a little more about the shot and the flow for editing. It’s reviving a new/old style shooting style for us, great video and footage !

It’s the best incognito camera where I feel you can get really high quality video without getting kicked out or people batting an eye about it
yeah I say "Adios" at the same time at the end of each video but was pleasantly surprised with the sayonara!

Your friend was spot on. I have the iPhone 15 pro but it doesn’t work for me to use it as my main camera and I want something small and simple. Just bought the osmo and can’t wait to get it in the mail.

Hey Armando nice video! OSP is really BOSS. Whenever you are brave enough (if not already), and you take a trip without bringing you mirrorless cameras and lenses and only your OS3, you will certainly discovery something. At least that is my thoughts since it kind of happened. I was also in OSAKA in March since I have been to Japan at least 7-8 times now. I did not even take out my A1, A7Siii or any of GM lenses. I had people look at footage when I returned home and people were very impressed with video footage and audio. ...wild stuff from that 1 inches sensor.

I had one back when it came out & it was such a cool idea & this camera is really good. I ended up returning it only because the screen was too small for me. Still was an amazing camera though.

Did you use the standard DJI LUT to grade this?
Should I buy pocket 3 or and camera in the same budget. My primary focus is cinematography and content creation
I'm still learning thanks for this... I do mostly livestreams and I have SOLVED the problem of interference on the MIC2, ive mentioned this to other creators but have not got any feedback up to now. The solution is to quit out of the MIMO app as soon as you are LIVE but don't add a second mIC2 or the interference comes back...
It's funny you switched from the Rode Mic to the Dji mic during Cam's scenes. The quality is decent for YT shorts and social. It's a personal preference, but what I've seen what the P3 can do is mounted for car shots which I think is cool!
Great review! But, the Cam's iPhone review link you mentioned isn’t in the description.
The one thing I wish is that they would publish the transfer function for D Log-M, thats my only gripe with DJI. I have had 3 of their drones, and the mic, and the gimbal, and all I wish is they would publish a white paper with the transfer function and primaries for their profile....
4:20 Active track 6 in the camera is good, but I couldn’t resist buying another Hover X1, that’s where the pure pleasure from the shooting process is, you have a flying pet that follows you, and is more tenacious than DJI, which really surprised me

Was the opening shot captured on the O3? Because that shot looked better to me than many of the others. All of them nice tho
If you are looking for a cheaper camera, osmo action 4 is pretty good too. Small cube factor - fit it in pocket. Carry everywhere. I usually hang it around my neck and record.

I love the OP3. I've had mine for a couple weeks now. And I'm still trying out different ways to shoot with it.
I know the previous versions of the pocket had the option for slow motion where it would crop into the sensor. I thought that was an excellent feature allowing you additional focal range. Does the pocket 3 have any sort of crop modes?
So 😂, my expenses will be exponential because I’d like get the Osmo 3 and then, go back to Japan.

I plan to use this camera to do some personal vlogging for when my wife and I are traveling. I noticed the mic picked up your voice as well as your friend's in the video when he was standing next to you. But would you recommended just using the built in omnidirectional mic if we're constantly recording footage where we're interacting with one another/other people? Or would it be better to pick up a second mic and connect both at the same time? Thanks!
can the footage be used for instagram to. the same landscape footage. Im struggling to film in Landscape for youtube and use the same content (just cropped) for Instagram horizontal. If I'm far enough back o the screen I can crop it with no issues, but this camera is more of a vlog camera, meaning we are quite close to the screen. How could you crop vlogging footage on this camera so it could fit Instagram without it being blurred or just an extreme close-up of my face lol. Nobody wants that! :) I keep thinking the solution here is to 1, not film vlogs. 2, film separate for youtube (when vlogging) and separate for Instagram. Just use both footage when I can, i.e. when I'm away from the camera a bit. But it defeats the reason for having this camera. Can someone help!

Maybe you could do a video with the most ideal set up for a POV with settings while walking. I have my OSP in a GOPRO chest mount as I walk. Been trying different settings although I have an achieve as smooth as I would like video yet. ...or if any here reading this message has any suggestions I am all ears. Thank you Armando & everyone else.

Would like to see some footage in auto exposure. It very well might be my screen, but everything here seems to be a little bit under, expecially compared to the FX3 footage.
I want to love the Osmo 3 - if a camera is too big, I simply won't take it with me. But I am torn between this and larger sensor cameras...
That’s just my color grade, I prefer darker tones.
How does Osmo shoot at night? in rooms with low lighting?

I've been struggling creating behind the scenes content or solo filming because of everyone's schedule. I'd rather do it myself. This Osmo 3 might be the answer to the situation haha
That’s been my biggest struggle too! I love that this camera I can just grab and go and I’ll still be able to get a great quality image.

Try to, as it's been hyped to much. There are a few videos explaining why it's not necessarily better than you phone for a lot of people
I've had my OP3 for a couple weeks now. And I love it. The quality is great. The 10-bit D-Log opens up the possibilities. And the Mic 2 that comes with the Creator Combo - which I have - records 32-bit audio. And of course, the stabilization is fantastic.
@@markshirley01 Here's the thing, I actually dislike using my phone , like ive tried my best to make it work, and when i forget my camera or im in a situation where I didnt expect to shoot anything, Ill use it, but outside of that, i couldn't tell you what it is, but its not my thing

@@markshirley01 ehh I don’t mind using my phone but Pocket 3 has been way more convenient. In order for me to get GOOD quality on iPhone I have to shoot in LOG which means now I’m using up a ton of storage. Using camera on phone destroys the battery. Like Cam said in video I don’t want to give someone my phone to shoot BTS when I can just give them the Pocket. The active track is amazing and for car shoots this thing rivals camera cars for 100x less. Better sound quality and the list goes on!

Hmm, for some reason no one here posts videos from Pocket 3 in HDR? They probably don't know how.
Shooting in low light?
Its good quality but the focus options are terrible. Continuous focus is shockingly bad, constantly searching for what to focus on, resulting in footage that cannot be used. (See the wobbly focus in effect at the 20/21 second mark for an example of this. Now imagine that happening to pretty much ALL your footage?) There needs to be a serious firmware update for this, maybe add infinity focus? For still shots while walking into frame, you cant use continuous focus and single focus only focuses on one area, which is also no good for that kind of shot. I'll be sending mine back if this isn't fixed soon because it almost makes the camera unusable

I used default DJI Osmo Pocket LUT and then just graded from there

You can watch on my channel how she films in HDR and 60 FPS, otherwise it seems the author of this video doesn’t know which way to approach the camera

Why would I want the Pocket 3 over something like a camcorder? They're practically the same size once you're carrying all the accessories (and you don't have the versatility of a camcorder).

@@mondobytes I thought you showed a box full of lenses; you also have ND probably; and it looks super fragile; so, you to take case with you- that's a lot.
@@CameraCombo Those are attachments that are tiny and literally fit in the pocket, also the Osmo comes with space for them in the carrying holder for a wide angle lens and a Black Pro Mist or ND if you want to use it. Now that i've had it for a while now I never leave home without it, probably my favorite camera of 2024 so far.

video in too dark, even on my PC but good content.
The problem with this camera is that they are trying to play film director with it... And the author of this video also attached ND filters, which killed the already low dynamic range of the rec.709 in which he posted the video, and greatly distorted the colors. He probably had a hand in the editing too.
He would have shot it normally, in HDR at 60 frames per second without filters, it would have been nice to watch.But he disfigured the picture as much as possible with filters, SD, 24FPS - this is what happens when a bad head doesn’t give rest to your hands

Believe it or not, there is not even a film crew attached to the camera. No one will build the scenery, there will be no lighting workers, nothing at all... Just you and the camera. How to live then?!

The DSLR and mirrorless camera structure are outdated and become useless except for photo. For photo purpose, it is way too expensive to buy. It is too heavy to carry and too hard to control for both photo and video. A 3 seconds short video of DJI OP3 4K 120FPS is much superior than any photo can achieve for all kinds of interests.
