    If only she knew what she was getting into with that piss poor built engine.

      @Corey Cozart What's up with the engine?
      (If I may ask..?) Is an after Market Warranty recommended?

      @coconexstar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@witeskyn7 not getting this SUV at all is the best and only recommendation I can give anyone. It is not worth the time and money, both of which it week cost you greatly.

      If you change your oil it wont be a problem. The only problem this car has is timing chain stretching but it only effects people who dont change there oil. Change it regularly and chevy buick cadillac v6s will last 200-250k miles

    • @Mr-furley
      @Mr-furley 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@coconexstar also dont go to jiffy lube because most the time they dont replace the filter get a mechanic to change it or do it yourself and make shure you replace the filter with each oil change every 3000 miles. That will make pretty much any car last at least 200k

    • @coconexstar

      @@Mr-furley it's not that. This engine has poor oil circulation due to the design of the pcv inside the intake manifold. Unlike traditional pcvs that are actually accessible on the outside of the manifold, this one is built in via a pin hole in the manifold at the bottom of the crank case under the valves. This pin hole, gets gunked up with oil and causes crankcase pressure which can eventually blow the main seal, especially if you live in an area where the temperature drops under 15 degrees f and you don't drive it long enough. You can get an oil catch can or the fc219 oil cap to help relieve the pressure but it's not guaranteed to work. Also the pistons rings are faulty on the 2.4l engine which allow an obscene amount of blow by. That excessive oil fouls spark plugs, cakes the valves, causes misfires, and allows gas to seep into the oil. This dilutes the oil and can ruin the engine. In addition, it can also mess up the vvt and camshaft solenoids, both O2 sensors, the catalytic converter and crack the exhaust manifold. I put over 3,000 into mine and I only kept it for 8 months before I traded it I'm for something else because the problem is unfixable. Don't take my word for it, look up the technical service bulletin and multi million dollar car against GM for it. Unfortunately, you can replace the pistons, timing chain and everything else but as long as that pcv is the way it is, it will only be so long before the rear main seal bursts and you're screwed. And I LOVED my Terrain. Miss it to this day. But no car is worth 3,000 in maintenance within the first 8 months of getting it.
