HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! :-) NEW YEAR, NEW (or in this case, newer) CAR! :D After months of looking for my mom's next car, we've finally found it and so far we love it! In this video, I present this VERY well equipped 2014 Chevy Equinox 2LT FWD! This one has almost every option for a 2LT, and it has a gorgeous Crystal Red Tintcoat Metallic exterior with the Light Titanium and Black cloth interior! Very nice car and color/equipment combinations! With a soft and quiet ride combined with good gas mileage, the Equinox is definitely one of the nicest driving and riding midsize SUVs out there! *One thing I would like to point out in the review is I forgot to show the 60/40 rear seats folding, but I figured most people know how the back seats would fold and what they would look like folded.* Sorry I forgot to show that, but other than that I think I covered mostly everything our Equinox has! :-)

Do you still have this vehicle? Was it reliable? Any issues? Thanks

We sold it in April 2022 at 81,000 miles. Except for annoying squeaks and rattles that developed over time it didn't have any issues, though once the 2.4L LEA gets up there in mileage (i.e., 90,000+) they become notorious oil burners. It's not known for being one of GM's best engines... the timing chain design is ridiculous. Around 60,000-ish miles it also began to develop timing chain slack upon cold start after sitting for several days which I posted a video of.

I just got mine on my birthday 12/31/2016. I like mine so far. The fuel economy is a plus. It is so spacious and runs so smooth. Congrats! What is the song btw? lol

Joe EndeavorsBeyond Congrats on your purchase. I love ours and it now has over 40K miles on it (in video it had only 32K) What really completes this car (to me at least) is the factory navigation. The song played is I Wanna Go by Britney Spears

whats so rare about the nav system? just got a 2015 and almost every one we looked at had the mylink nav.

Not in my area, at least in 2015/2016 when we were looking at 2014 model years. Very hard to find one with it. We wanted one cause we travel a lot. Most LTZs we looked at didn't even have it despite having every other option such as forward collision alert. We eventually found ours in Phoenix that was formally a rental car before the lady bought it. It's even more difficult to find it in a 2LT trim like ours.

Great, detailed video; however, perhaps I missed it, but I did not see you lower the back seats. Do they not fold down? Thank you.

The back seats do fold down. I think that was the one thing I forgot to show. However, they do not fold completely flat like other SUV's such as the Toyota RAV4. But in addition to folding down, the rear seats can also slide forwards and back, which is a GREAT feature if you have passengers with long legs.

Do you still have it? Did you have any of the problems like engine shut off while driving?

My parents still have it. It's approaching 73K miles. No, it's never shut off while driving. It still has the original water pump, alternator, drive belt, etc. The only annoying thing it's been doing for a few years now is the rear sway bar is rattling and is very noticeable inside while driving at low speeds. If it sits for several days outside, some startup rattle can sometimes be heard, but only sometimes in those circumstances (which I recently uploaded a video of). It normally is driven at least once every two days and is never heard so I'm not overly concerned. So far, it's not exhibiting any oil consumption, which becomes very common with these 2.4L LEA's around 70-80K miles and over. Since it's directed injected, there's a ton of carbon buildup inside, but nothing much can be done about that. Overall it's been reliable, but they might sell it next year for something newer. The build date is August 2013.
