Who misses a true sausage egg & cheese biscuit!? Or bacon egg and cheese? Or just sausage!? Or as simply buttered biscuits? Maybe biscuits and gravy! Oh YES, I had to ring someone’s bell!!!

I made these today!! I made these today!! I didn't have the arrowroot for your flour mix so I just left it out. The biscuits are lovely! With the allulose they tasted to me like Jiffy cake I used to eat as a child - I think it was their sweet cornbread I'm thinking of. This had no corn but I do have corn flavoring if I wanted to get that effect. My brain DID jump to low carb Red Lobster biscuits! I'm sure I can find the copycat seasoning online. Can't wait to try that! Thank you so much! Looking forward to using your New Standard Keto Flour next! ❤ Edit: I'm only low carb; not keto, so I used a lower fat butter sub that happens to be softer (Bluebonnet light). Because of this I couldn't use all the 'milk' (mine was the buttermilk powder and water). It needed only a half cup. I think I'll try freezing the butter sub next time and see if that makes a difference. Also I'm going to try adding a little psyllium husk powder and see how that affects the texture. I notice in my Devil's food cakes it acts as a binder and rises a little more. But there is always the random chance it will turn the baked goods purple, no bueno for biscuits, lol. Edit: Next Day - freezing the softer butter worked a dream. Making Cheddar Bay biscuits, more of a fail. Went by a standard copycat recipe for that but I need to add more seasonings than they do - at least until I get the flavorless bamboo fibre.

I am on my third batch of these delicious biscuits and wanted to share a few minor tweaks in case anyone is reading. I increased Victoria's fabulous flour to 3 cups like her raisin biscuits, the salt to 1/2 tsp because I don't use salted butter, and omitted the allulose. I also used a flat bottom glass sprayed with oil to flatten them after I scooped them to make a rounded biscuit shape. The result is a dryer, less sweet biscuit that browned nicely and makes the best bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit! Victoria, thanks for the wonderful recipes!

Just made this with your 2.0 flour recipe. I didn’t have the buttermilk powder, so I just used 3/4 cup water and 1/4 cup heavy cream, then added 1 tbsp of white vinegar to make buttermilk. They turn out fluffy and so wonderful!!!! Next I am going to try the sourdough

I've made these twice. Shared them with my neighbors who can't get enough. I keep them in a plastic container in the refrigerator. So far, I used them with sausage gravy, chicken and "dumplings" and warmed up for 15 seconds in the microwave with butter. Fabulous!

Fantastic! My tweaks.. instead of buttermilk powder I add one tablespoon of white vinegar to a Pyrex glass measuring cup. Fill with cream to half cup then up to the cup with water. Let sit 10 min. Mix all dry ingredients. Only half the allulose and add one teaspoon of cream if tartar. GRATE the cold butter in . Crumple up some with hands then mix in liquids. Perfect!

I made these buttermilk biscuits today along with the chicken strips you uploaded yesterday. These two were so delicious together! WARNING: They are very filling!!! 😂I had not made the biscuits because I did not want to lug out my big food processor. I needed them today so I tried using the whisk with my Kitchenaid. I mixed the flour and butter until there were small butter balls, and it worked just fine. I also added 1/2 cup coarse shredded cheddar cheese. They were delicious!!
The chicken strips were picture perfect and so yummy. Thank you for all your delicious hard work! ❤

I made these and didn't particularly care for them. They were far too soft to be a buttermilk biscuit, I think this is due to the presence of the allulose as it has a softening effect. It tasted fine, just too soft. You do create many amazing recipes and I'm so glad these work for you.

I can relate, my favorite food processor (chopper) stopped working. It was very old but had a shoot and various blades with it and made of hard plastic. I like my new one but it is made of heavy glass (no shoot or blades) and im always afraid of breaking it. The biscuits tasted good, got a little brown and didnt rise but i kinda flattened them out some so thats probably why. Love your keto videos, flour and recipes! Thanks.

Ok we fed these to a person who hates everything that he did not approve of when he was a toddler. He’s 73 and his favorite saying is I don’t think I will like it so I’m not gonna eat it. I did not tell him I used anything other than flour. I told him I made enough we all could eat 2 each he eat every bit and never complained. Now my husband also 73 said he loved them he knew what I used and said they were light inside. I asked if he like them I yes was his response. I loved them thank you.

Well I tried this biscuit recipe this morning, it did not turn out as I hoped. After pulsing the flour/butter mixture it thickened into sticky dough. Afterwards, it was all downhill, I couldn’t salvage it. I had to mix the liquid in with my hand mixer and still had to put extra flour to thicken as it was too liquid. They spread out like flat cookies. They tasted good like pancakes, my husband said.

    these biscuits look absolutely amazing!!!!!
    thank you for the presentation!
Would this biscuit recipe also work with your new updated 2.0 flour?
The reason why i asked is because your original flour for these biscuits had Oat fiber and Arrowroot!
But your updated 2.0 flour version has Bamboo Fiber and no Arrowroot!
So when making these biscuits, do i use your standard updated 2.0 flour ...
or should i just use your original older version flour that has oat fiber and arrowroot?
Which flour do you think would be best for the biscuits you made in this video!?

Omg 😳… Omg…. These came together, so fast and easy… Into the oven looking like a professional made them… I was feeling like a kid at Christmas, excited or my husband to try them with some homemade Chicken and Asparagus Pesto soup (ie. whatever was in my fridge). As gorgeous and scrumptious as they looked (sorry I didn’t get a photo 🙈)… I was not ‘prepared’ for just how deliciously amazing they are. If I just plucked a high carb recipe from the best of chefs, I can’t even imagine how they could be any better than these. YOU ARE A KETO SHOOTING STAR! (Is that a thing? lol… Well it is now. 🤩) 🥰💝
I’ve been so obsessed with getting bread right… when I’m not baking it, I’m thinking about the next tweak I just had to try)… And my experimenting (with extremely limited success) is done.
Recently I did make a few yummy efforts, working with whipped (with immersion blender) cottage cheese. Ok I’m just rambling now… So excited… HUGE NEW FAN! 🥰🤩🥳

I was conflicted re what to bake today. Had homemade soup waiting for dinner time. And some gorgeous fresh strawberries, wanting shortcake. And then I realized that biscuits would be perfect for BOTH! And THEY ARE GORGEOUS! So light and fluffy I thought one of us (me or a biscuit) might actually float away. I had 2 that were, ‘not like the others,’ leftover mix from trying your chaffles earlier - that were cheesy and savoury and beautiful texture, delicious flavour. So I baked those that fit in my pan, and tried what didn’t fit, along with leftover chaffle mix, in the microwave. The chaffle-turned-mug-biscuits were even fluffier. I am beside myself. My husband humours me while I freak out about how amazing these biscuits are. He’s the calm one - but also SO impressed.
The biscuits were my first thing I’d made with your first flour - and had already left me awed. But this new flour… omg. It’s like I’ve been on a less disciplined quest, than the one you’ve been on, with these creations… ‘til it reached obsessed level. For 4+ years. And after a gazillion awful to so-so, to… “not bad at all”… results… and a freezer full of ingredients from 4 yrs determined effort… EVERYTHING I DREAMED OF CREATING IS NOW IN MY KITCHEN. In fact, not only is it like white flour soft and warm yumminess… I think it’s BETTER. This has to be the best baking I’ve ever done!! I don’t know if I dare even try to edit and shorten this - when I’m this overjoyed and excited (it’d probably just get longer still 🤐).
I just thank you SOOOOOOOO SOOOOO SOOOOO MUCH!! ❤

Dang girl! I just tried this recipe with your newest perfected flour. I cut the recipe in half because it is just my husband and myself. I made 5 biscuits. Man, I hope there is one left when he gets home. It IS a real biscuit. I tried it with jelly, but my favorite was just with butter. He is going to ask for biscuits and gravy, I just know it.

These are wonderful. I have made 2 batches. I used unsalted butter and the first was not salty enough. They were a bit too dark on the outside. And a little too sweet. But really tasty. The second batch I lowered the temperature to 400 and smashed them down a bit with a glass. That fixed the too brown part. I used half as much allulose and more salt in the second batch. I just used water instead of milk as I had no cream or milk. I never thought of using buttermilk powder. I’ve used oat fiber to make bread for years. I had never heard of egg white protein. I’ve got to thank you for your innovative low carb flour. I’ve only made biscuits with it so far. But they are wonderful. Truly. I’m looking forward to making a cookie recipe Thanks so much

HELP, this is my first recipe that I am going to try. I plan to leave out the 1/4 cup of allulose and the buttermilk powder. Do I need to make up for that amount of bulk in the ingredients? Or use less liquid? Also Just making sure that the recipe calls for 1 Tablespoon of Baking powder because the tbs was lowercase in the recipe link. Clarifying that there is no typo in the intended amount.

    • @victoriasketokitchen
      @victoriasketokitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes to the baking powder. And as far as bulk, allulose is not as absorbent as my flour is. I don’t think you will need extra flour but I can’t be sure.

Your husband is one luck man with all that great cooking. Here's my Southern gravy tip.... skillet with some bacon grease, melt ( 4 Tbl spoons min). Add your all purpose flour and mix with the melted grease. stir until gravy mix has browned real nice then add some Fairlife milk and cook until it has thickened up. Keep stirring. YUMMY good

To make your buttermilk , did you use 1 teaspoon or 1 Tablespoon of vinegar?
Also, which type of vinegar did you use? Distilled Vinegar or Apple juice vinegar?

So good! I halved the recipe to make sure I liked it and also to prevent me from eating them all! When I made your 2.0 flour I also added the baking powder & salt to make it self-rising...
This made 6 amazing biscuits but they were smaller since I used a smaller scoop. Next time I'm all in with the 1/4" scoop and should get 4. A girl doesn't need more than 4🤨
I'm loving your 2.0 flour!!! Oops I forgot to mention that I used 1/2 T vinegar into 1/4 cup heavy cream to curdle it then added 1/4 cup water to = 1/2 cup because I didn't have butter milk or buttermilk powder. These were totally worthy of my French butter that I snuck home from Paris last month!

Hi. I'm late to the party. Finally got all ingredients together, but with oat fiber first as had to wait on bamboo. That said, I have just made your All Purpose flour. I made these and they were very good. But I cant make much as I am older and dont eat much, so have to put in fridge or freeze and share with neighbor who is gluten free.
When I was mostly eating regular flour, came across 2 ingredients biscuit recipe--self rising flour and heavy cream.
Usually dont eat breakfast, but had made for my hubby the frozen store biscuits. Wanted one myself afterwards, so decided to use your all purpose flour, add the baking powder and salt to make self rising, then the heavy cream in the 2 ingredients biscuit recipe. I actually dusted counter with your flour and gently turned over and pressed. I made enough for only 2, two inch biscuits. Put in tiny iron skillet almost touching in 400 degree oven for 14 minutes. Checked at 12 min. Bottom browned so flipped over for last 2 minutes and top was browned. I had put no sweetner in dough, but did put a little butter on top before flipping.
ANYWAY, biscuits fabulous! Rose up so high and great texture. I
did eat with butter and honey. Yum!
Next time will put a little sweetner.
But just letting you know how VERSATILE your All Purpose Flour is that I could use in a hurry and not feel deprived of eating a biscuit!!
BTW, I only ate one and the other went in fridge and will micro it tomorrow or later.
Thank you for ALL your hard work and kind heart to share with us. You are a blessing.
