I think she and Homelander agree on one thing; the superiority of supes. I don't think she's that good of a person. She's got a plan and is going to use everyone to accomplish her goals.

I don't think that is the reason I think she is arrogant and wants to seize power. The way she talks in her introduction and later indicates a superiority complex. She looks down on non supes and Homelander doesn't threaten her to join the 7. Not even indirectly. He simply beguiles her with the promise of power. She is a lot like Homelander. Less brutish but more cold and calculated.

Sage’s superpower is causing chaos. She sets up the situations and sits back enjoying fallout. After Noir’s death, I think Edger knew Homelander would eventually run to Sage. So, he prepped her to seize functional control of Vought and prepare the stage for Homeland’s takedown. Everyone is a pawn in her game, but she is also a pawn in the larger scheme of things.
Keep your friends close and enemies even closer. Its possible there's a hidden agenda from Sister Sage. Wouldn't it be great if she was secretly a double agent. Not saying she works for The Boys but maybe she works for someone really bent on taking Homelander down. Always get rid of the most dangerous threat before the rest.
In the comic books it is easier to make super powered people and variants of compound v. There are probably thousands of them. In the show, it seems somewhat more difficult to make them

I wanna know what work she is trying to publish and "prove" theories of....people have been questioning why vought would "let go" of such an asset as Sage and her intelliegence? What if they didn't? Sister Sage could have had a doctor strange moment and calculated the best way to stop Homelander is to work for him.
However I feel Homelander and Sage have a mutual respect for each other. Homelander is the physical equivalent to Sage’s intelligence. They’re both at the top of their game. Game respects game.

One thing that really bothered me is how much we've been shown of homelander and his insane senses. How did he not hear Hughie breathing or his heartbeat or smell his sweat when he was 10 inches away in that vent with some airflow. I get it was for the narrative of the show but I hate when powers are established then they change it for certain scenes. Homelander from any other season would have stopped mid conversation looked up and grabbed Hughie before anyone could even react

You have to pay attention to make your senses work. We miss out a lot of details in our daily lives because we do not always pay attention. Take dogs, for example. They have excellent olfactory senses but completely miss out on smells and sounds all the day unless they are paying attention.

Hot take. Sister Sage isnt on Homelanders side. She knows how unstable he is. She's working out her own plan, which is the only way to take down Homelander. This includes manipulating the deep and setting eveeything else that has happened up. She's thinking so 4th dimensionally that she's planned everything thats happened.
She is playing the long game. Realize she couldn’t refuse, believes she can control Homelander to some extent as long as she’s useful.

I believe Sister Sage is going to betray Homelander and leading to him losing his powers instead of stopping his aging.
I think she is working for Victoria along with the virus to kill Homelander.
I think she has plans for Homelander long-term, she’s shown she has identified his psychological issues (need for approval, oedipus complex, fear of aging) within a few interactions with him, I would be surprised if she doesn’t turn on him at some point. The other option would be some sort of traumatic moment that puts her over the edge to become truly evil

She is just as, if not more, evil than Homelander. She knows exactly what she's doing and how it affects others better than anyone else. She just doesn't care.

I wouldn't be surprised if she gets down with HL just to get pregnant by him and then have Ryan and HL kill each other, freeing her child (HL's only other child at that point) to be the only one worth 'inheriting the kingdom" so to speak. Sure it would take time to come to fruitiion but unlike HL, Sage is patient enough to wait even decades just to have her plan be successful
