Despite my sire's immense talent and lovely voice I must admit it's nice to hear stories and information about my own bloodline clearly conveyed through speech instead of song
I have heard the joke "Tremere is the clan you play if you originally wanted to play dnd, but your friends outvoted you" this seems to be the clan for people who rather wanted to play changeling.
This was a really interesting summary. I recently started playing VtM for the first time (despite wanting to for… probably over a decade) and our storyteller let me home-brew a Daughter of Cacophony character into our V5 setting (which is probably why the TH-cam algorithm suggested this for me). I'm hoping that the Daughters haven't been entirely left by the wayside of the official game.
My interaction with the Sirens have been scarce and short, though always pleasant. One such time, a recluse named Ramona became the lynchpin of a scheme of mine. I was overseeing a judicial duel between a Toreador and a Brujah, and for various political reasons, it was imperative that the Brujah walk away victorious. An outcome that was by no means certain, as the Toreador was older and empowered by diablerie. This is where Ramona helped out. She could sit in her tower, leagues and miles away, and serenade the poor Toreador until he could no longer focus on the task at hand. He fell at the hand of the Brujah warrior, but make no mistake - it was the Siren that slayed him. Oh, don't look at me like that. I carry myself with impeccable honor, and everything around the duel was agreed upon by both parties. All the oaths were followed, and all decorum was kept. The now passed Toreador simply experienced a failure of imagination as he staked his honor and life on his vows. Am I to be blamed for that?
Question for the creator: do you plan to make other perspectives from the World of Darkness? In the sense of werewolves, mages, etc. I'm asking because you're a great narrator and it's nice to listen to you.
Once I am finished with Vampire the Masqurade I do plan to go over other World of Darkness settings with a new character and perspective. But this will probably be a while out still.
I didn't remember those males in the clan, or perhaps they didn't existed in that only book where I saw the Daughters mentioned? Regardless, this is a interesting element. Specially if a player wants to go for a Italian castrati. Would need to be a somewhat 'old' character, I suppose they don't make castrati anymore in Italy. Or, maybe they do. If not in (arguably) real word then at least in the World of Darkness?
How dare you to say Alicia is under your wing?! She was supposed to be mine! (Flings out a table to a side) You better back off those words of your mouth Ashspawn! (Pulls out a dagger and start advancing at him) 😡😡
I know very little about singing so my knowledge on vocal ranges is non-existent. But what I have been told is that men and woman have different ranges entirely with surprisingly little overlap. However what I stated in the video is actually the official lore on why they pick a lot more women than men. So perhaps a more accurate statement would have been something like "they have a more desirable range" but alas its not actually my lore.

That's an interesting point! I suppose we could solve this by saying human vocal range in the World of Darkness is not the same than in our (arguably) real world. It would solve the issue. Perhaps would be a cheap solution. I suppose I would rater ignore the information about vocal range. And look for a better reason for a vampire lineage to be so heavily inclined towards the women. The most obvious reference that comes to my mind in this setting are the Black Furies, who (at least in my table) are a werewolf tribe exclusively of female garrou. I think there is another Luna race, the werespiders, that is mostly females too. There is a godless in Afro-Brazilian religions than is named Nanã Borocu, who is an old grandmother and only blesses women followers. In the middle of references like that one could probably find something to sew the Daughters into. Maybe the first daughter was an galliard abomination from the Black Furies. Possibly she managed to became a vampire on purpose, to have time to perfect her voice. Being obsessed by her music to a fault. Her embrace was planned with intent, and made her able to embrace other vampires (usually abominations are not supposed to). However, maybe, the mix of her spiritual lineage of misandric ancestors with her vampiric blood resulted in a lineage that has difficulty to embrace men. Perhaps 9 in every 10 attempts of embrace male candidates fail. Resulting in promotion to the status of non vampiric dead. That way we get an (arguably) mad matriarch for our lineage, with a spiritual background connected to garrou society. Could even mean an ambivalent relation between the Daughters and the Furies.
One detail I failed to add; They are also more likely to become a wight because of their bane and when they do so they are nicknamed "Banshees".

This sounds like a great concept for any role playing game. Great explanation. Very interesting lore!

I've been waiting for a lore vid on the Sirens. Great work as always!

love the vtm content i watch them all please keep them coming
Set up clone hero at the Elysium, get a daughter or son on the mic. And i am absolutely certain you will have a Fuckin party.

@@theashspawn Sure, I'm not rushing. Now the important thing is that I can wait for it.
Does this mean we're gonna get the Blood Brothers👀

This is amazing! Did you come up with this yourself? If so can I use it? If not, where did you get this from? I LOVE IT!!!
This is taken from official lore for the Vampire the Masquerade setting (World of Darkness). I merely add a bit of flair and fill in a few gaps
@@theashspawn ah! Okay! Thank you!
Males don't have more limited vocal ranges, they have bigger.

A little too similar to toreadors but an interesting bloodline nevertheless.
❤
Males have a larger vocal range then females
