He's roleplaying a tiny bit, giving the perspective of a well-learned Cainite scholar. The bloodlines like Samedi and such are TINY, most wouldn't have seen them and most wouldn't believe they exist. Plus most hide in larger clans for protection.
I think the allure of the Daughters of Cacophony bloodline is that is has such potential to be manipulative (as you said) and strong in the sense that they can influence the mind-set of the mortals that the other Kindred feed on. It could be they play up the fact they're considered a myth to keep suspicion off them and to make themselves seem less of a threat to the unsuspecting. Their disregard for taking sides in the sects also goes with that but could mean they have their own agenda. As for their origins, wishy-washy it can be but I think people draw similarities between a Kindred collaborating with the Fae to make a new bloodline with that of the Tremere clan's collaboration between Kindred and mages. It's one of the less developed bloodlines yes but the mystery involved with them gives them a spot in the WOD mythos, I believe. Excellent vid and I loved the point you made.
Awesome video, as are they all. Just a thought that came to my mind, it would have been funny as hell if, at the end after you said "thanks for watching" suddenly got a confused expression on your face and asked the audience; "Do you here that?" after spending the entire vid in character vhemetly arguing against the DoC's existance... Don't know why but for some reason thet thought made me laughe my ass off. XD Keep being awesome!
The most plausible origin story to the daughters of cacophony I've heard is that instead of the alleged Malkavian and the Toreador somehow merging into a new person by Fae magic, one diablierized the other (my money is on the Lunatic for obvious reasons) and their victim's disciplines in the process. Presence and demantation are both powerful tools of trickery, a vampire able to use both could certainly deliver an awesome siren song.
May I just say, when fey are involved all bets are off . Everything you know is wrong even if your right your wrong. Fore that is the madness of the fey.
I found these bloodlines i know you talk about a great many of these, but i dont know if you talk about them all or will at anytime. Blood Brothers, Danava, Gargoyles, Ahrimanes, Anda, Children of Osiris, Lamia, Lhiannan, or Noiad..
I'm being driven insane. I need help. I remember reading WAY back a book about a vampire/fairy bloodline. Kasyid or something? What were they called? And what book were they in? Please help me.
Id like to see a video on the true black hand, by far one of the oddest and obscurist kindred conspiracy theory with links with all the other supernaturals. Although I do love hearing about the odd bloodlines Lhiannan, Laibon and Lamia would be nice additions. Have you thought of doing any videos of the Roads (dark ages) or paths of salvation?
Daughters of the Cacophony is said to be only female but, in the 20th anniversary edition it says that most of them are female but not all of them, they never say there are males but they do hint about it.
if anyone here has read Interview with the Vampire or The Vampire Lestat, the books detailed in there that Lestat could throw his voice so loud that he could shatter glass and bring humans to their knees in pain with how loud it was ;) perhaps they were not Toreador or even Deava type kindred, but Daughters of Cancophony eh
Would be very cool to make a crossover that involves the Celestial Chorus and a Daughter of Cacophony, including the paradigm of them both and their different interests.
In one of the City by night books there was a single individual mentioned to be a male member of this bloodline. He is a transvestite and it is what saved him from the purge of the males that took place at some point.
Maybe this thought has been explored, but still I wonder; what if these mythological bloodlines do actually 'exist', but not quite the way we think they do. It is my understanding that some Caitiff have exhibited anomalous abilities; either new disciplines or unusual applications of of familiar ones that were previously unheard of. What if, then, these bloodlines originate as children of these 'inceptors'? I believe that is the term used. I guess what I am asking is what if these bloodlines are the nexus of certain Caitiff that have actually managed to form a sort of 'clan' unto themselves, albeit under the guise of myth, speculation, and unfounded rumor to hide themselves in?
From a meta perspective, speculation on the existance of X, Y, and Z bloodline or what-have-you is rather fruitless with White Wolf's "Ignore what you don't like" policy on continuity and lore. But oh well. Speaking of Changelings, have you at all played or looked into Changeling: the Dreaming? and if you have, what did you think of it?
A passing curiosity sire, surely, and nothing more...and yet, if a body of these other-bloods did exist in our modern nights....can we risk *not* assuming them to be a stratagem of a powerful Jyhadist? "Manchurian candidates" themselves, but most importantly a trail: to the elder-blood of our eternal foes. Mightn't we pursue, and put flesh to the stories, that we may drink thereupon?
..and the Son of Discord in our campaign is a Heavy Metal Star. Who turns enemies into wet spots with his voice. And seduces every female character he comes across.
U mean there was a merging between Presence and Dementation?, it seams unlikely, unless u add Fae Magic. After all nobody knows the extension of fay magic, except perhaps the Mages.
Sorry our questions are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Look forward to the True Brujah. If they are a myth I would asume you don't believe inthe True Black Hand. If that is the case can you review either the Standard Black Hand, The Sabbat Templars or posibly the Camarilla Archons? I ask becasue it seems there is rich material there. The Archons have, for example several devisions though unofficial and one is a mocking attemp to duplicate the Black Hand. Either way love your work.
Yes, those harpies do gossip. How about that for a video? There's my video request. Ah very nice. I this is an interesting bloodline that they really did some changes with it during the game. It didn't really seem to fit in as if they just made it however they wanted. I actually played one of these in one game, it was a booty game & I dipped on it.
Interesting opinions. I've generally heard from most people that the Daughters just simply exist... but then conversation usually stops about there. I mean, up until i passed about the 6th minute in the video, I was like ... naturally repelling your argument and trying to convince myself you were just babbling like a Malk. But... with the full circle of the video, i do understand where your thought process not only begun but where you gathered your argument. I will still retain some degree of truth from their "clan book", but i will re-read it with a more open mind thanks to you. And as always, a pleasure listening to your insight
Well that would make sense about there true origin since lilith is not known to have spawn any clan/bloodline. But than again i dont imagine there is any book telling Lilith's stats so u could compare her disciplines with the Daughters of Cacophony, or is there?. Anyway there would be some mention about Lilith's amazing song/sonorous powers.
You don't seem to understand There's no such thing as vampire band But if you find the copper spire Go to the bar they call desire ... And give me your credit card Welp, it would be nice if powers like this actually worked.
Or is it? Maybe there is some males. To powerful or to weak to be seen in the lines of Daughters. Thin-bloods who roam free from the clan destined to be called caitiffs, not accepted by there own kin.
Do the semdi or the naharaja next, those two are my favorite bloodlines in oWoD :) but I do not really care much for the daughters they never really felt interesting to me. Just felt like toreador to me but thats just me :)
He's roleplaying a tiny bit, giving the perspective of a well-learned Cainite scholar. The bloodlines like Samedi and such are TINY, most wouldn't have seen them and most wouldn't believe they exist. Plus most hide in larger clans for protection.
Thank you for watching! I'm always around for discussion of Vampire.

Perhaps even moreso than the Kiasyd, this bloodline is fae made undead.
Very excited to find this series, I've needed something to listen to at work. I could listen to your voice all day. Thanks! :)

God damn man, you make me want to play this game.

You are more than correct, good sir.
i think it would make it balanced if malkavians are imune to the daughters song thanks to there lond bond and auspex dicipline's
you cant hear music if the white noise in your head is loud enought :D
@@onemoregodrejected9369Fun fact, actual schizophrenics listen to loud music to drown out the voices.
I really like you videos, just learned my character is one of these ^^
My storyteller show me this video! THX
The moon infinitetly more beautiful than the sun? I was thinking "Infintely less deadly."
There's now a video on them!
The legend is wrong, it wasn't a cave, it was the Thunderdome.
Glad to hear it! Thank your Storyteller for me!
There will be videos of them at some point.
For lack of a better Location to post this, Will you ever do a video on the Justicar or the Archon ???????
Mebbe one day.
fair enough. Just personally i would like to see that.
I would also love to see this video and would find it very useful
revised dark ages vampire has the kingdoms of Kindred (Avalon, courts of love, sea of shadowsetc), but in the modern night the lines are very blurred.
You'd like a video on the Harpies? Oh, possibly.
I found these bloodlines i know you talk about a great many of these, but i dont know if you talk about them all or will at anytime. Blood Brothers, Danava, Gargoyles, Ahrimanes, Anda, Children of Osiris, Lamia, Lhiannan, or Noiad..

The longer you pursue the untangling of such Gordian Knots, the longer your enemies have chances to strike at you.
Thanks for watching!

It's still going!
My pleasure.
Would be very cool to make a crossover that involves the Celestial Chorus and a Daughter of Cacophony, including the paradigm of them both and their different interests.
Also, what book are Ahrimanes found?!?
This video is no longer squashed!
In the original World of Darkness book there was one.
Joan Jett or Doro style maybe ? Well am new here I can ask or seek wisdom about any aspect ..
Oh you mock the Daughters of Cacophony. Dare you mock Elvis?
In one of the City by night books there was a single individual mentioned to be a male member of this bloodline. He is a transvestite and it is what saved him from the purge of the males that took place at some point.
I forgive neonates of their various transgressions. And yep, I'm sure I could cover them at some juncture.
For Samedi you could say that a certain Garou as ran afoul with one of the Zombies.
I'll get to some if not all of them.
And with which clan does the gentleman resonate?
Kiasyd is a fun really fun vampire to play if you play it right
vampire rock bands, Ann Rice really does have a lot to answer for

Good choice.
So much information is a very dangerous thing. {Whispers} "There's blood in the punch. Guess whose?"
M. The Malkavian?
I'm glad!
Yep.
A passing curiosity sire, surely, and nothing more...and yet, if a body of these other-bloods did exist in our modern nights....can we risk *not* assuming them to be a stratagem of a powerful Jyhadist? We do indeed.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you alot for making this videos.. actual give me alot of info. :D
I played it once and it didn't grab me. I never bought it.
Maeghar with that discipline would be very fae like
You question how she fed? The fact she's a vampire should be more than enough to dispell anything...
Yep, I'm role-playing.
Oh it's a possibility.
Maybe they do. If they existed, they might, at any rate.
Original Guide to the Sabbat.. I believe.
Sorry our questions are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Look forward to the True Brujah. If they are a myth I would asume you don't believe inthe True Black Hand. Oh, they'll come.
I don't own it.
That would be bizarre.
I'd say so, yes.
Why thank you.
But the Daughters are not that bad as a concept, their Clan logo tho 💋 is terrible.
The Toreador, I am told.
Quite!
Clan Samedi? My favourites, Nosferatu but melancholy.
In a conundrum box.
When it comes to Kindred, everything is a riddle wrapped in a lie.
Sounds like sirens or mermaids singing to ensnare people.

they're in guide to the sabbat and yes they are kiasyd
Be creative. The Garou in question is Prower-at-Darkest-Moon, my persona for Guide to the Garou Nation.

All vampires can be!
Can u review teenage mutant ninja turtles rpg
Apparently the daughters of cacophony are a clan/ bloodline of lillith......
Cool I think I've mist that part.
Awesome series! Now, just think of Elmer Fudd as a 'Son' of Cacophony. Kill the wabbit! (Fear the bunnies, they're dangerous. Anya tells us so.)
Well that would make sense about there true origin since lilith is not known to have spawn any clan/bloodline. But than again i dont imagine there is any book telling Lilith's stats so u could compare her disciplines with the Daughters of Cacophony, or is there?. Anyway there would be some mention

Voodoo lady.
Ha!
Not a bad theory!
Tis rumour, and nothing but.
Now I feel terrible for sending you a message asking a question and hitting on you. Sorry.
You are welcome *blushing*
Read revelations of the dark mother.....
I'm unfamiliar with that tale.
You have limited vision.
Uh-huh, sure...
hahahah is that a Yu-Gi-Oh Card in your shelf?
And somewhat morbid.
You don't seem to understand
There's no such thing as vampire band
But if you find the copper spire
Go to the bar they call desire
...
And give me your credit card

samedi. voodoo, vampires?
