Love these episodes! I'm not sure if you covered these already, but there are 2 topics related to your store I would love to hear you dive deeper into after my most recent visit.
      1. The unusual product lines you have that I don't see in most tabletop gaming stores. Disc Golf, Lego, Toys, Plushies, puzzles, pop culture memorabilia, shirts, Japanese vending machines, etc. What made you start carrying these lines and what are some of successes and failures? How do they compare to the tabletop side of the business?
      2. The used board game program. How does it work, etc?
Thanks and keep being awesome! 🤓

Since you are in the Rochester area, was WWE Raw Deal big in your area before the game ended? Is there still a player base there? Many of our Raw Deal players switched over to UFS and that is how I got into the game.
Are there any other out of print CCGs that are big in your store? Star Wars CCG for instance?
To go with what Rob mentioned, what other similar items do you carry? Retro Toys, 80s/90s memorabilia, Lego loose pieces, or just sealed, popular toy lines like Transformers/GI Joe, VHS/Vinyl/CD/DVD/BluRay, Sports Cards, Marvel/Non-Sports Cards, etc.?

@@RobsGamingTable Thanks Rob. I miss our Game of Thrones days. :) Other people have suggested this as well. I'm gonna write up some show notes and see how I can squeeze 30 minutes out of it.

@@Categoryonegames Raw Deal was huge for us. There's a Rochester, NY card largely due to the size of the community we had here. Raw Deal Manager draft was invented in the store. Nothing out of print with big communities. We do carry the Netrunner stuff that is current and fan made. We carry the Doomtown stuff as well. I actually bought some old Doomtown from you personally a little while ago to play with that a bit. Action figures aren't something we do. Retro isn't really our thing outside of Used Board games.

Brief correction, I didn't realize that Bandai was still running webcam events. I hadn't heard anything about them in quite a few months so I assumed they had been done. My bad on not recognizing that they were still going on.

Josh being involved with the OP for UVS might be just what gets me to try it out, he's always been a pleasure to talk to at events when he's hanging out with Pokemon people after hours at stuff like PAX and Gen Con

Overall great content! If you do not mind a little input…..try adding in content from a player’s perspective.
You said you play/have played a ton of TCG’s, the population at large may like to get more perspectives from a player’s pov…closer to the ground perhaps?
What cards/sets are you excited about etc…..
I think it’s a win/win bc the content will be more relatable to a larger audience and adding a more forward looking outlook at your current pace you will run out of content to add! lol

As a player myself and store manager I'm impressed by their attempts to improve my ability to carry their product. They are making so many good decisions but then stuff like getting rid of Webcam events, not promoting YYH at all and the way they handled the recent cheating issues (more so the communication around it) is losing a lot of the goodwill they're building with retailers by losing the players.

Certainly things to pick apart. I'm most focused on whether or not I can sell their boxes for a profit and the last few sets they have done much better in that regard.

The demo decks are good for non-tcg players but I've had immense success getting magic, Pokémon and yugioh players into the game with the challenger decks. They're a perfect balance of introduction and competitiveness that let's a new player buy a deck or two and have a chance to go 2-1 or better once they learn the mechanics. I think they are probably the best pre-con style products in any ccg

I'm sorry, your background seems solid and your preamble raises a lot of salient points but I can't agree with most of your actual list.
The early MHA frames were the best frames that the game has ever had and this has been evidenced both by how easily players read cards at my tables and how every change to the frames since has been a step back towards that layout.
Nobody needs to work with NFT bros, they are scam artists and nothing more.
I love draft but adding "draft chaff" cards has so far only served to broaden the power level difference between rarities and allow people to top release events based on SR pulls more easily. It does not appear to be helping anything and it just makes me less excited for every set reveal. Also, why are we seeing the same style of design in Challenger decks that will never be drafted?
And the "This product isn't for you." mentality coming down from on high has done a real number on MtG, so I'm not sure why you seem to think it would be good for this game.
Mental load, I will give you, is a real issue with both onboarding and the qualifying system and I am really looking forward to the new demo decks addressing at least half of that.
And webcam events are definitely a sore spot as the ideal situation *is* to ditch them completely but not without isolating players who don't have easy access to local play. Which isn't something the game can do until it is significantly more widely available.
Overall, I think that UVS Games is headed in a good direction after a rough start but hearing that much of that rough start was in line with your advice and that you are happy with (as of yet unrevealed) upcoming releases fills me with the opposite of hope for the game I love.
