@@BabaBobojr thanks! I'm glad you appreciated the deeper dive with the tables. I was on the fence about them because I thought that section might scare some people off haha
Great video Trickster. I loved the math. I would always keep the Magedancer and Helping Hand (you probably saw how good of a combo this is in my match vs Nahmaa :D). For the 3rd card there are many options but I think its Bladedancer in this matchup. If there is no sabotage you can play all 3 on 4 mana and probably take an early lead. If there is sabotage you are left with Bladedancer & Helping Hand as another threat
This is a very strong line and with your experience I think it has credibility too! I really like keeping Magedancer and Helping Hand because you get draw similar to baba yaga without exposing yourself to a poor trade on day 1. I think Bladedancer is the perfect 3rd to continue putting pressure on your opponent moving forward.
Thanks for the great vid. As a new TCG player, I'm amazed by how deep strategy and thinking can go in that kind of game. At first, I thought it was bad not to Mana on a turn. Looking forward to trying some of those ideas in my next games !
@@ReinJGaming off you go and helping hand are great cards that I almost always keep. Against waru and some other matchups I've started to keep sneezer shroom more than mage dancer but both are top tier!

Glad you found out about the game! If you are still looking to get in on the kickstarter action you can pick up a display using the link in the description for only about $10 more than what it cost to add one to a kickstarter pledge. The events at GenCon sound like a blast! I wish I was there!!
@TricksterCG Thanks for the link. I see there is an option to pre-order either the KS addition or normal. I heard something about increase rates on KS, is that worth it to pick up the more expensive KS eddition?
@@elijahmoore9414 good question! I have ordered several of the KS edition and none of the regular. The KS is about a third more expensive but you get 1 extra pack, 1 extra card per pack, ~40 more rare cards, ~2 more unique cards, foil versions of all the heroes, twice as many card foilers, ~30 KS exclusive alt art cards (which will be foiled as well if you get a unique card), and the chance to pull promotional cards or even a golden booster with only unique cards and foilers. If you don't care about alt art cards or foil cards then the KS is just about even with the normal display but if you like those things it is more than worth it. And if you use the link to buy either a small % will go towards my channel. Let me know if you have any questions about the differences!
@TricksterCG I just pre ordered a box. Thanks for taking the time to respond! I've been playing SolForge Fusion the last few years but love the different take on alogrithmically generated cards.
@@elijahmoore9414glad to help! I love looking online to see some of the crazy combinations that have been generated. Hopefully you get some cool unique cards in your box!
For your last exercise: My first analysis is that Fen is often a very disruptive deck so I expect sabotage and removal. Thus, I wouldn't rely on one character like the Blade dancer as it would be an obvious target. I think Baba Yaga could be a good first turn because I would want to counter the card disadvantage created by Fen and it isn't a really good target. My two other cards would be Mage Dancer and Meditation Training. As sabotage is the main way in Lyra to control, I would like to keep my character on board. Moreover, I think I care less if my Mage Dancer is sabotaged than Blade Dancer for instance. So in the end I would keep : Mage Dancer, Meditation Training and Baba Yaga. My first turn would be Baba Yaga. For the second I have 3 two costs cards at least and so multiples options. Finally, having 2 characters guarantees that even with removal, I should be able to have something on the board ^^ What do you think? Moïra
@@Ash_jrdt This is a great analysis! I especially like how you considered Fen's disruption when coming to your chosen hand. This might result in an 0-1 situation on day one; however, while other more explosive hands may get an early lead I can see how this hand sets you up to have plenty of resources and flexibility to take back control in the following days.
This is probably the most important aspect of the game to understand, and you laid it out really well. This is an amazing resource
Thanks for the kind words! Are there any other key aspects you'd recommend for future videos?
