    Hi Dan!
Congratulations for your tutorials. Keep up the good work!
Is there any way to save the answers as labels and not as values? thanks in advance.

Hey Domingo - I don't believe this functionality is available outside the box. Can you tell me a bit about what you're hoping to accomplish?

Hey, do you have any videos on how to create an order summary with certain information? I've seen some information floating around with showing all fields, however, that is not what is needed. How would I implement a custom order summary where certain information is categorized in different tables?

Hey there - If by order summary you mean the e-mail notification you can send to the user - then you can definitely do this but you wouldn't use the show all fields. You can customize the e-mail notification itself, and add fields as needed using the available dropdown. So you can format and customize the information into tables/sections then send it as the e-mail notification once the form has been submitted. OR if you mean, you need to calculate information to show to users before they submit, like on a second page before they complete the form, then you can just create a second page of the form then use calculating fields to put together a total/summary of their selections from the first page. If I misunderstood your question, please let me know here or e-mail direct at the e-mail on the website linked above. Cheers, Dan

Hey i've been looking through your videos and can't see anything about a calculation that i'm looking to do. It's a conditional calculation. Basically it's to calculate a tax depending on your area(government), type of purchase and price. The price is user defined and the total would be if area is X and type is y your tax on the user defined price is z. I can do it if i create all the outcomes as seperate entities and then just hide them if they don't apply but it's a long process and want to know if there is a quicker way?

Hey Gareth - Unfortunately I can't think of a faster way than what you've already pointed out. Sometimes these things can be a pain to setup if there's a lot of options - however it may be the case where the end tax rate is the same, and so it may be better to allocate a value to the type and tax. What I means is, let's say that for all of the area and types chosen, the end value calclated with Z is 10, 20, 30 and 50. It may be better to give values to the type and tax that would add up to these values. Then you only have to create conditional displays for 4 options, rather than every combination. It would take some planning, but if it's the case that the rate ends up being similar, then setup values in the fields to add up to D, E, F and G, and based on that it chooses the number to be calculated with Z. Not sure if that applies and my explanation is terrible but let me know if you get my point. If not I'll try to explain it better. Cheers, Dan

    Hi Dan,
I need to create an order form that includes late fees based on date periods using the date picker field. For example, if the date chosen is after 9/27/19 then 25% gets added to the total order and if after 10/25/2019 50% gets added to the order. Is this possible with Gravity Forms?
    Thank you!
    Darlene

Hey Darlene, yes this is possible, using a combination of calculating fields and conditional logic.

Is it possible to add a formula at the total field? Like insert merge tag. I need the total field because of the discount field.

First I apologize in the delay in responding. For some reason TH-cam is holding comments for review even though the setting is on auto-approve - and I just realized I'm not getting notifications for comments.
I'm sure you've sorted this out by now but:
Yes, you can definitely use calculations within the total field, and you can autopopulate the total field using merge tags. Let me know if you still need help sorting this out!
      Cheers,
      Dan

    Hi,
How could something like this work for Real Estate Listings.
When a listing is created on the backend of WP and the Advanced Custom Fields ACF price field is filled to display that ACF field into the form on the frontend listing and the site visitor can select payback over 10yrs or 20yrs and it auto calculates the repayment for the dynamic ACF field price
The form is only created once and appears on all listings page template and dynamically reads the ACF price field?

Hey JB - I don't think this is possible with GF out of the box, but a small snippet could grab the value of the custom field from the current page and then you can use that to create a merge tag to be used in gravity forms. This would need to be custom coded but wouldn't take very much.

From the fast-jumping yellow circle in the eyes ripples. You can’t show like that.
