Get a container that will hold the kerosene and a old sink that will drain to the container, add a strainer so parts don't get washed down the drain, add a parts washing brush. And your ready to go. Use a 12 volt battery or a 12 volt adapter, with a switch to turn it on and off.

It's ready again for submarine duty! Good rebuild. I would suggest using the polaris fluid for that front diff. Its thinner, allows the magnet to pull some junk out. Run it hard in 4wd and change it out a few times to see if it clears up. There should be a fill on the top or side and a drain on the bottom. By the way that drain cap was stuck on doesn't look like it was ever changed in the past. I change mine out on a ranger at least once a year its always darkish and it goes in clear yellowish. Always junk on the magnet plug.

If this was me, it would be thoroughly pressure washed before it came apart. But: that's just me. OCD and all that kind of stuff. I love what you do: keep it up. I look forward to your postings. 🙂

One thing I was always told with cars (not sure it applies to small engines) is never to pour cold antifreeze into a hot radiator unless the engine is running.

Hard work but worth in the long run.
Do you sell some of the projects?

While you have the plastic off the front end screw a screen mesh over the air pipe to keep mice out.

A small tumbler works wonders for cleaning bearings.....metal...and plastic just have to use correct substrate....

What diff fluid did you put in.
They only recommend Polaris demand drive fluid for the magnet to work properly.
Anything thicker than a 5 weight oil, it will not disengage. Even trans fluid is a little thick.

Growing up I had to fix everything that I broke because I couldn't afford brand new and I certainly couldn't afford have somebody else work on it. I remember always having a big pan of diesel fuel and a parts brush. You don't have to worry about it catching on fire And your parts aren't going to flash rust after you clean them. Spritzing it with W840 and wiping with a towel seems like it would just absorb far too much time.

Joe I would use acetone to clean the bearings up and use hi temperature grease mate

Def need a parts washer! But next time when you’re putting the rollers in the basket, a little trick a fellow youtuber taught. Use 2 - girls hair ties, they fit around them perfectly to hold them all in and set in and roll them up as you lower it. Hope that helps for future projects. Fairly new sub, question also, do you use a repair manual for torq specs and assembly when it comes to engine work?

Holy cow you need a parts washer! Especially with the volume of rebuilding you do. That front diff will never last. So much grit and grime was left behind. Can't just use brake cleaner and wipe it down with a rag. That does not get all the grit and grime out of all the little recess.
That stuff will come loose, when mixed with the new oil and grind all those gears and bearings up. Cleanliness is godliness when it comes to rebuilding stuff like. A good parts washer is cheap compared to redoing it....

Also can you imagine the amount of grit and rust that is on that front pinion bearing, that he didn't even open up to look at😳😳
