When you get a Phillips screw that is stripped a little. Put a small dab of valve grinding compound on the tip of your screwdriver and put a little pressure on the screw when turning. Works really well most of the time

Use hot air on the back of the seat cover before fitting. That will remove the creases. make the fabric softer and easier to work with.

I do my classic car seat cover's in summertime lay them out, on the grass when it's 70-80 degree day. I think a hair drier might work for atv seat, it's suppose to be a steamer though, maybe over a pot of boiling water might work

On some of the Polaris AWDs, they use magnetic contacts for the front drive with a small oil reservoir. Fresh clean oil is required for those type front drives to change from 2x4 to AWD. If it is one of those types it has a drain. If it is that type drain and replace the front drive oil until the contaminated oil is out and then refill. My sportsman's front oil was really thick sludge when I drained. But changing it worked for me.

Man this is bringing back memories, had a 1998 (first year the 500 H.O.) came out and the red color. Also had stator issues but mine were due to flooding the atv under water up to the handles and not knowing about draining the pull start. First cold winter day and the water froze and cracked the stator. Bike would sometimes start and sometimes not.. At the time it cost me 900$ at dealer to get it fixed - Sold the bike many years later and after 4yrs of ownership had put on over 15,000km

I would have cleaned up the commutator on that starter motor (where the brushes rub). Looked pretty dirty to me. I would have sprayed electrical contact cleaner on it and lightly wire bushed it. Very lightly, I might add. A set of new brushes would be worth while while you had it apart. Oh well.

Buy yourself a automatic center punch and them work amazing for pushing stuck pins out. Another way to test the needle and seat is use a brake bleeder and bring it to 5 psi and make sure it doesn't drop if it does the seat and valve are bad

Pretty cool. I purchased a 1996 Polaris 425 magnum a couple of years ago. You can see it in my blog, It was fun getting it going for sure. Runs like a new one. But the main thing is you probably already put the seat cover on, but you should always heat the material up first. In a dryer, something like that for a few. Then it stretches nicely on your seat. Just saying. Take care, bro, cool video and your dog running. Great exercise, lol. Your videos are awesome. God bless.

The reason they can sell junk like that cover is because not many people complain and return the item. Nobody is going to die if you have to wait for a seat cover, send it back and get another. If customer service say you can't send it back ,ask to speak to their supervisor, and then keep escalating it as far as possible.

As a last resort maybe you could put the seat cover in a clothes dryer and get it good and hot and then stretch it.

Rack on the back is not atttached. 4x4 does not work. The little dog can really run fast. It runs great.

Throw the cover in the dryer to heat it up. Might to help stretch it out.
Just like the old lady. Gotta heat it up to stretch it out. LOL
