Many areas were already in a recession, and this will take time for the economy to adjust to the new rate, at some point rate cuts will occur and the 3 trillion in money markets will come out into stocks. I've been part of Gareths trading service for 3 years. Last 2 years he's gotten crushed. There's a reason why he's earned the name "Beareth Soloway". He's DEEPLY underwater in numerous short trades. His biggest downfall is he doesn't abide by his stoploss orders hence he gets trapped in positions (NEVER enter a trade without an exit plan). He's also constantly changing macro thesis with general bias towards being bearish which has crushed his trading service last 2 years. Don't take advice from amateurs like him. Took me a few years to accept losses but when I finally got over selling a loser I make actual gains. I am wrong more than right but will cut a loss if it hits my stop. You can always buy it back.

I had my judgment clouded as I lost heavy on terra luna UST collapse and FTX downfall and I found beareth and did not see the signs we were at the bottom at 15k even though I suspected it, but I was too clouded from my loses that I wanted to maximize my entry and believe beareth which was my mistake. Can confirm the last 7-8 months Gareth has wiped out all his gains for the last 2 years in his Smart Money service. I would be retiring or working less in 5 years, and I'm curious to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or investments, I earn around $250K per year but nothing to show for it yet.
That is exactly the reason I stopped taking advise from TH-camrs; in the long run, I only end up with a jumbled collection of stocks and bonds. Whereas all I needed to earn over $350k in less than two years was guidance from a true market expert.

You go long. I will take the other side of that trade. My buy to cover time horizion 2 to 3 years from now when the VIX spikes to over 75. I will then cover and go long EVERYTHING that I want at, at least half off. Time horizions matter. I think it is very possible we continue to go up more for a bit longer. At least until we get a black swan event (I am tracking 15 of those) or the yield curve reinverts. In fact I am counting on it. It just means as we go higher and higher my short position costs me less and less. That is what I am doing. Don't get cocky... I know folks that lost everyting in the Dot Com Bubble, and even more that lost everything during the GFC. Markets do one thing very well and this is humble you. Could I be wrong, of course. Maybe it goes sideways or down in summer, but it peaks only in June-July, and before that it pumps like crazy in May. Next few months will be euphoric, forget about deeper corrections. Stock market is already oversold, put/call ratio near extreme levels, May is historically bullish for tech stocks (if earnings come out good). Bitcoin will probably chop around here and close month negatively (first time in 8 months), then to the moon! And even if there is a larger correction in the future, it will happen above previous ATH, that's where BTC.D dumps and altseason kicks in. So the fun is just getting started...It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... He works hard and his new platform is much improved but his calls have been brutal. His technical analysis is so basic. He only mentions basic trend lines and doesn't ever discuss equally (if not more important) factors like Fibonacci levels and moving averages.

Love this video on the 15th Gareth says he is short copper, and on the 17th copper soars. I remember the same thing happened with NG. Don’t know this guy, but he’s right as far as today is concerned. Many here suggest calling for a recession has been wrong for months now, but the reality is we’ve been in recession for months already.

More and more people being laid off, equates to less and less tax revenue for the government which needs to issue more debt. All they see is spiraling interest rates going up. This is just a temporary reprieve.
Interest rates dont increase tax revenue, taxes do. Less interest rates decreases federal expenses. So layoffs= lower interest rates.

Fundamentals aren’t important as a trader. In fact he focuses too much on the fundamental views which aren’t always right. His technical analysis is good though

Personally I wouldn't be so bullish on palladium as far as i know it's main use is in catalytic converters which are slowly being replaced by different technology. I think the price of palladium is exactly where it should be

In July 2023, the US central bank, the Federal Reserve, announced that Supercore (Consumer Price Index (CPI) Core Services Less Housing) is a “key indicator” for inflation. At the time it was contracting nicely and it pointed towards a potential future where inflation would evaporate.
Less than a year later talk of Supercore has disappeared. There is a good reason for that. The measure has been rising since November and today is reading 4.8%. That is above the level from when the Fed first started talking about it last year.
The headline CPI reading is currently at 3.5% and the PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditures) level is at 2.82%. At the press conference last week, Fed chair Jerome Powell said inflation is below 3%. The only way he can justify that statement is by referring to the PCE number. No other major inflation measure is below 3%.
So, we’re at a new point in the inflation crisis. Instead of denying the data, or claiming it’s just a temporary blip, central bankers are now selectively picking and choosing the inflation data to suit their narrative. They just give us the lowest figure.
