This seems to be working well and might be super practical for some of us drummers out there, but beware the injuries coming from not having a surface to absorb the hits after long sessions using this! Muscles, tendons and joint cartilages are suffering from a lot of stress when hitting on nothing, especially for the wrists and elbows, which have to compensate the lack of surface to stop the motion.
Yeah, because the "rebound" is caused by pulling back away from the hit momentum with your muscles, as opposed to letting it bounce back. I figured out that when hooking this up to midi and sending notes to it, I could get cross stick on the snare, and extra cymbal sounds. This includes the weird set up where the first crash has a clap sound on the jazz kit. That would explain both the sound similarities and the fact that there is a second crash and low floor tom that you can't normally access, as the donner kits that use these sounds have inputs for those exact things.
I ordered one such kit based on this video, and as beginner found it absolutely horrible to practise with. Frequent recalibration needed. That's actually really cool. I wonder if it would be able to to simulate double strokes. I assume not because that would be really hard without the bounce but still really cool.
That was my question as well. Throwing a pad into the mix might be a problem as I expect the sticks are not made to withstand the shock of tapping on a surface and they are balanced for air drumming.

Samus…you had me at “vibrating sticks”…..🤫🫣🤭😂😂😂❤🔥
Can’t believe this things real
I bought one yesterday and used your code. Thank you! 🎉❤
Did you receive yours yet ??
@@JackKanoff4175 Hello there. It's still in transit. I live in a different country and the shipment will come from China. I selected the free shipping so it's taking longer than usual. But I am very excited to try it. (I'm tracking it daily 😁😁).
@@JackKanoff4175 I received it today. :)
Did you ever end up getting it, how is it?
Samus I got the same setup but the calibration is terrible everything kept moving on me, did you have any of these issues at all? Your video was so on point!!
Joinin the regret corner here.
Yep i got the same issues
I like how you started with what sounded like Love by Strapping Young Lad :)
That's actually really cool. I wonder if it would be able to to simulate double strokes. I assume not because that would be really hard without the bounce but still really cool.
That was my question as well. Throwing a pad into the mix might be a problem as I expect the sticks are not made to withstand the shock of tapping on a surface and they are balanced for air drumming.
awesomeness Its like magic :) A drum kit so bad ass you don't need a kit to play on nor do you need to get different drums to mix into your kit to play different sounds or tune stuff different etc, you can just change sounds at click of a button, awesome. I'm totally with you on the double bass, all great metal has a double bass right ;)
The guy living under my floor is gonna hate when I start playing TTFATF on this
This is absolutley mind blowing WTF 😂😂😂
great, now you can have drums at every campfire party :)
Go along with the campfire guitar
Love that you are ''looking at'' the invisible drums as you are hitting them 😂
Livestream kit this Saturday?
I love your choice of enhancement words!😂😂😂🤘🏻👊🏻🤘🏻
Something to add to my studio without taking a ton of space. I like it.
MIDI OUT!!!!!!
DOUBLE KICK !!!!
Ordered and waiting !!!! Sick just sick even if you can’t play speed metal rolls it writes midi - go in edit add some ghost notes problem solved !!. Can’t wait to use this to be able to write more material and not have to use midi control keyboards.or mic my kit .So cool so very cool. I’ll be laying down sick doubles while tracking guitar at same time !! Get 2 birds stoned at once !!!
Playing drums without the drums, the end is near!
The ‘end’ ended on 2/22/22
Oh man, a green screen + you air-drumming…I feel like there’s a video idea potential somewhere in there.
The green screen would have a video of Mount Untersberg in Switzerland as shown in the movie The Sound of Music. Samus could be the Julie Andrews of drumming lol! Ohurrrr Yourrrrr! 🎼🥁⛰🏔⛰💟
I don't have enough room for my drum set, so I was given an electric drum set and now I don't even have room for that. I'll have to look into this!
"But my favorite hole..." ROTFL
It's funny because there is a perfectly good drum kit there in the background 😂
They had a waaaaaaay less impressive toy back in the 80s/90s. This is awesome
Omg thank you for showing me this you are a God
I need these🥁❤️😊🤘
This opopped on amazon earlier and was wondering about it. Now I have to get it lol ❤
I'm confused, it's not April 1st right??
Zack, you’re a little bit late for the party 😂😂😂
From: Mack From Home
I’m definitely getting myself that
I wonder how this would do at a live gig 🤔
I had a previous version of these(I think from the same company?) but they sucked because they needed a webcam and reflctors… this version looks way better.
Drummers gonna be running around the stage like the singer soon... 😂😂
These are literally the fraction of the price of an actually drum kit! This is actually super sick for people who just love to jam to their favourite bands and stuff 🤔
Holy fuck ur hair is so long. I love it 😍😍
Thanks man, just got them with your discount! On top of first purchase 5%!
hell yeah dude!!!!
I got my airdrums with your discount. Its really hard to calibrate it. It doesnt work so smooth like on your video ( tell me that you didnt edit the sound in that video- and its the original audio from what you played) when i am playing kick snare hihat. Its more or less fine. But when I try to go for toms it makes random hits in snare, crash, ride and god knows where else. I hope that I will manage to calibrate it right one day because now Im a bit disapointed, and I bought it only because you recommended it 💔
you need to make sure you're hitting in the right spots! also the toms require a different angle to hit them.
it took me a few hours to get used to it!
@@66Samus does it have a cowbell?
the video is heavily edited and the product doesn't work anything like this
I just bought some these are sick!
Looks pretty cool! I'm guessing you can't do anything too delicate with this (rolls; flams, etc)
