hello zach....? or whoever contorls this acc, i would like some help chooseinga good beginer rc plane for under 100$ CAD, thanks.@@TailHeavyProductions
Best advice I got from watching your channel is to fly ALL the way to the crash site. I'm a pro at this. I'm getting much better with glue and packing tape too.
Same here! I learned this mistake after I lost all control of the plane untill it was right above me so I yelled runaway from me and I ran away aswell so many foam chunks of a flite test mini p-51 there servos are pretty cheap
You should get a large card board box with the lid open and try to lower a plane down into it by hovering. As a visual representation of flying in the box
Absolutely! You all got me into the hobby because of your style!! My dad has a few planes and helicopters, I was never really interested in it because of the clubs he belo to but now I’m starting to get into planes .. already crashed and fixed the one I purchased.. enjoying every moment of it so far THANK YOU
I haven't any help around my parts so had to be self taught. It's OK cus I'm hard headed and only lean the hard way. Never give up or in. Yor kids have been and still are an inspiration. Thanks guys! Yup I said guys!
Having a hard time flying at the moment. Im trying out many things thinking outside the box and always get shit talk thrown to me for that. Thats just rhe way i like to do it . probably leaving my club and start flying on a field with friends again. More fun
I'm a big fan of flying outside the box. My skills seem to be a fan of landing outside the box. And by box, I mean anywhere the rest of me is planning on landing my rc planes. It that's why God made foam glue, toothpicks, tape and youtube how-to videos. Love your channel. And your T-shirts are wizard level comfortable. Highly recommend 👍
You nailed it. You keep that vision and you will be bigger than Flitetest almost overnight. I design and build full size airplanes but have loved rc since a kid, thanks!
I think in the end people forget these are big boy toys, unless you're earning a living with a drone. YUP, some people are over the top wanting to be difficult with new inexperienced people. I agree with everything what you said.
Love your philosophy. I’ve been a club member for a long time and have frequently been put off by how seriously some take the hobby. I work in nuclear and I fly toy airplanes to decompress and escape from nuclear. Our safety officer is now a former commercial nuke guy and he sucks the fun out of it so fast!! He’s retired and seems to forget that flying a toy plane doesn’t need the same rigor as running a nuclear reactor. If I get one more lecture about lipos burning down my house and probably my whole neighborhood, or how taxiing 10 feet from the pits to the field is the most dangerous thing I could do…. 🤦🏻♂️ looking for a sod farm that will let me fly unencumbered. I don’t want to be unsafe, but I also don’t need some retired Fudd always looking down his nose at me.
As much as I enjoy being a hooligan, there’s a time and a place for it. I didn’t at first, but now I kina like that my rc club has strict rules against being a menace. It’s nice to have a place to fly where everyone has the same “be civil and respectful” attitude. If I want to be a nuisance, I’ll take my flerken and a couple Estes rockets to the park. But if I want to fly and stretch my skills then I’m following every AMA rule at the field.
Man, I love your videos!!! I am trying out DCS today, because of my love for aviation. I am trying out for a summer camp with the Canadian cadets for a glider pilot licence! Keep on posting interesting videos and see you soon!!!!
this video inspired me to go bush fly my umx timber x in 28mph wind I then crashed said timber into the ground at mach 3.5, I am sueing you for influenceing property damage
Hi Guys, fun stuff as always. I'm wondering if you have done a video on all the manoeuvres and what they are called, as a totally clueless beginner I never know what you're taking about when you say things like inverted high alphas and I would love to know what that flat spin tumbling looking thing is called? Thanks a lot huge fan!
I wish i recorded what happened today i went out flying witht eh viggen i told you about and my battery gave out and the thing nosedived from heaven into the ground and exploded all my parts! It was pretty cool to watch but as it was my only plane a little frustrating! I flew in a field was not at the ama field
I wish I could find some local flying fields with this attitude. It seems all the local fields are run by rule gods who are terrified of calling attention to anything. As a result, membership is dwindling, and you can hardly find kids at these fields with a search warrant. 😢 This is a big reason I dropped out of both local clubs years ago. At the end of the day, it really is just a bunch of big kids playing with toy airplanes.😊
To be honest I came back after 10 years and the jerkoffs at the local field almost made me rethink it, until I watched your videos and joined your discord server
unfortunately i actually did make a plane from a cardboard box with hot glue. lesson learned those things are 2 heavy and next time ill remember Velcro so my battery doesn't slide mid flight. @@TailHeavyProductions
Im just getting into the bobby and i will say you guys and my grandfather have been a lot of help for me thank you guys and keep it up. PS. im using my grandpas spektrum DX 7 from 2008 and its ready for retirement. what recommendations do you have for a new radio?
Awesome! We assume you are wanting to stay within the Spektrum radio line? If so, if you are willing to sort through classifieds, we'd suggest a DX-9 which comes up on Horizon sometimes under refurbished items as well as on forums or classifieds online (Facebook/Craigslist/etc). If budget isn't an issue, the first gen DX-18 is arguably the best radio Spektrum has ever made.
Thanks! I have dabbled in RC airplanes about 15 years ago and after watching your videos it made me take the leap again, UMX air tractor, UMX turbo timber, and the TTE 1.5m later I am glad I am back in it...and only one plane a tree so far!
I'd love to further support your channel and all you are doing, however I can't give more money to TH-cam/Google. Any chance you would do a Patreon or other 3rd party support application?
RC aircraft is an expensive hobby in Brazil and tends to attract A LOT of douchebags. I´ve been flying since I was 19 when I managed to afford the hobby. And I thinks that iot is what it is: nerds flying toy airplanes. Lately I´ve been having lots of altercations with those douchebags and when I watch your videos the only thing I can think of is going flying and trying to ignore them. But sometimes it is hard.
Thanks for keeping this 'hobby' a hobby. Far too much red tape and far too many people and clubs just accepting it with little to no push back. In fact many clubs I've had dealings with seem all too happy to champion the next BS 'rule' or restriction. It has to stop.

Flite test extremely legit. Full Stop.
