Happy Landings! Fly outside the box. 📦✈ - บันเทิง
I got a Harbor freight box for my transmitter and put spare batteries, sunglasses and other must haves in there.
You literally almost had me screaming at you with the "Fake #1" bro. Don't give me a heart attack like that. Power to the people.
Can't express it ebough.... a "nice" soldering station and proper flex and solder makes a world of difference....especially once I started flying drones alongside my planes
I didn't know they have Z bend plyers. And I have been in R/C for over 45 years.I love these similar funny R/C videos.
They're out of stock half the time. I've tried to buy them several times. I'm good with pliers though. 😊
Look at the dubro z bender. It isn't pliers, but its a really wonderful tool to have.
So about #1/20/#25, from a freeflighter who wants to defund the FAA but still gets his planes back: what you need is a quality low frequency tracking setup and a collapsible carp rod. The tracking system can be expensive or cheap depending upon your resourcefulness, but nondirectional beacons in the 215MHz band have absolutely spectacular range (forget air tags, only useful in populated areas), and FRS band units have similar range and can be used with the dirt cheap Baofeng transceivers (but now you need a custom yagi antenna, whereas the 215 band units work with Wildlife Tracking Systems receivers). The ultimate are the BMK Flexi units which provide full GPS and telemetry. The initial buy in is expensive but you have absolutely enormous range (>50 miles in air, >1mile ground) and utility in a system the size of your thumbnail.
The carp rods are available from a variety of Chinese sources in lengths up to 18 meters, and at varying prices. They pay for themselves, regardless of cost, the first time you use them. Some will pack into a suitcase, also worth considering.
I kept this video playing in one window and had Amazon open in another. I had never heard of stick protectors and was sick of hearing the sticks go "sproing" whenever I took the tx out of the box. Thank you very much!
5:00 DUI Table lmao
My flying buddies...we all fly 3d and we fly fpv freestyle drones.... but one of us has a dji Mavic in the car and its perfect to find missing drones or planes or even a hook to retrieve then 😂😂
I' be interested in a comparison of flight sims
Me too
Great video! How to use teflon tape for hinges? I'm only a few years into the hobby, so this one leaves me intrigued.
with the servo testers, you can buy those blue cell checkers Cellmeter 8 or whatever they're called, and they have a servo tester built in!
Make your own DUI table is a nice homemade touch @5:00
Some great items and tips . The magnet pole is good , just wanted to add many newer planes have Stainless steel hardware it won't pick up .
About flight sim, one easy option would be to by a cheap transmitter usb adapter :
No joke, a few years ago, my club decided to by some cheap adapters from china to be able to use some training transmitters for the simulators. We just got an unexpected surprise when plugging the adapter in a second hand pc : every flight sim was installed on it, not the newest versions though, but every rc flight sim was on it, what an unexpected windfall
Got a Link maybe ?
I still love glow!!!✈️❤️
Thank you tail heavy 👍
Great list!
And if you have a transmitter case; never put it in the car, without closing it/securing the lid. 😅
If you have a 3d printer, there are multiple stick protector designs out there for free.
Just recently started RC Flying, so very useful indeed!
You guys make the most useful, honest, and hilarious 😂 videos!! Thank you so much! Brilliant.
Thanks for the info. Happy Holidays!
Eminently useful, the list contained several great tools that I have managed to stay unaware of through 60 years in RC. Ear forceps? A menace to your ears, indispensable in your workshop. Amazing.
5:55 Yes, my too. More of these, please!
Having built 43 Flite Test kits, I have Z-bend pliers, a very nice soldering set-up, many adapters, servo testers and Ernst stands. Never thought I needed a "Sun Blocker" or Magnet Pole, but I could see where they would have been helpful (prop nuts!!!!) Good list, but a tolerant spouse is #1!
this vid is sooo helpful for me as an rc enthusiast
don't forget batteries for the transmitter. The other day I got to my field just to realize my transmitter was about to die, and I didn't bring extra. Then I had to drive home with 5 still comepletely full batteries without flying :(
I forogt to replace batteries on my transmitter… anyways i have 1 less plane…
@@Heavenlynightstarz oh noooo.
Or a car charger, as the case may be.
I forgot my transmitter once. 🤦♂
@@Abszurdista-fatalista what how does that even happen
Did you just call it a DUI table?
The simulator testing would be awesome. I'm using a free drone sim right now that isn't very good so I've been looking around a little. I want one the will let me practice flying airplanes, helicopters and drones AIO, but that seems to be a unicorn type of product. Help in figuring the airplane sim part out would be an awesome Christmas come early to a lot of aspiring pilots. Thanks for all you do!
Yeah they tend to be pretty specialized since the control logic/aerodynamics are so different (unless they go exceptionally hardcore with the modeling).
Personally I use Liftoff for quads, which is a lot of fun. And Picasim for planes because I'm cheap.
This video showed me quite a few things I can ask Santa (my wife) for Christmas 😂
I’ve been flying for almost 30 years and I’ve never had any of this except a transmitter case. It was a hassle to keep up with so I sold it.
I’m definitely a minimalist. I have a tool box that has everything I could need at the field except glue. I don’t carry glue because it just spills.
Suggest you Add a good and Bright Flashlight..Even on sunny days you may use it to see down a fuse or between/under the seats of your car..Very Handy !
love it i have ,most items listed
That's why when I get the f-8-f bearcat from flight line I'm going to put it together at home and make sure to not take it apart
HELL YEAH
sunglasses - the 'model glasses' by Rapid Eyewear is pretty good. you get 4x different lense tints which help in different flying conditions.
I looove having "someone else plug my battery in while my hands are in the muff" ...but not while I got my remote I'd module nstalled!!!
you forgot A QUALITY HOT GLUE SETUP XD! i use mine a bit for fast repairs at the field.... my friend hot glued the motor mount of his timber onto the carbon fiber rods... i told him, "dude that is going to come off!" "nah it wont max, it will be fine" and i replied " that glue has no good surface to adhere to and is going to shoot it right out the front! if you fly it, i will be telling you, i told you so"
THE NEXT DAY... (ring ring) "hello?" "hey uh max... my motor came off and i lost it in a cornfield..." "Olin i told you it wouldnt work! i told you so." "yeah yeah" {click}
long story short, he didnt find his motor for 3 days LOL.. he put screws in it the next time and made sure it wouldnt come off!
The pinecil didn’t have enough wattage to handle the ground plane of my speedybee flight controller. I had to use my hakko fx888d (great iron btw)
I like the flight simulator idea!!!!
Definitely would like some info on flight simulators. I don’t fly nearly enough and could use the practice. I have the AeroScout with Spektrum DXs transmitter. I believe they offer a dongle so that you can use your transmitter on a PC. Ideally I’d like to use my 27” Mac
The best tool I have is a Blowtorch!🤣😱😊🔥💥
Mosquito spray for evening pilots.
Bear spray for annoying children, pssh pssh
-- Bro, soldering Iron(!) - Hakko or nothing! None negotiable!
Love to see different flight simulators
CA in your field box for unexpected repairs or things that got loose
5:02 dui table? lol
Bought my first modern MRC radio in the spring of 1968. As I have told many people over the years is that a trash bag must be in your field kit. If you can't deal with a crash this is not the hobby for you.
yes
4:37 bro only picks on the twinber
with u
7:39 what plane is that? Can you send me the buy link if u can?
FMS Yak-130 V2, we've got a review video on it as well.
Brian Philips wears rubber gloves for cold hands.
I've seen flying fish with longer flight times than most DLGs.
what’s about the community calendar?
you missed a possibility to sell these
5:00 "DUI" tabel???
Nitpick, an AirTag isn’t a gps. Not saying it isn’t useful.
I have lost a few in forested nh. So I bring a chain saw
DUI table?
Bounced one for you Gentlemen. Lol, Rc Addicts unite.😁 Keep em coming. Top notch!!!
We did bounce one off for ya today, heck yes, wellah one did not come back, Uncle Bill, he is 76, so, what are we goingto do, have the best time.
how do you know that the alarm will run till your battery is dead
What is with the new icon?
Watch our latest video to find out!

Sun blocker and sunglasses do not apply in UK

Yesterday was my b-day and I got not only a carbon cub but also a dx6e
Thanks for always making me laugh so hard a snort 😂
Hi tailheavy, could you please try making a video of explaining what engine to use, for what weight and stuff you need of building an rc plane? I am sure many people will be glad for it and help someone out, thank you
