  • In this essential oils video, we show you how to make your own essential oils at home by using an essential oils still from Clawhammer Supply. By following this tutorial you can learn how to make any kind of essential oil you want at a fraction of the retail price. Essential oils are valued for their medicinal qualities and are used to boost energy, relieve stress, relieve anxiety, help depression, treat headaches, and fight infections through aromatherapy. Essential oils can also be used for cooking and are especially helpful when a recipe calls for an uncommon ingredient. Add a few drops of orange essential oils to waffle batter for a tastier breakfast, or a few drops of basil or rosemary oil to olive oil to give fresh-baked Italian bread a robust flavor. Essential oils can also be the missing ingredient in your favorite cocktails. Add some lavender and lemon oils to a glass of champagne or prosecco for a refreshing mixed drink or add a bit of basil oil to a martini for a sweeter flavor and aroma. Check out the resources below for links to essential oil distilling equipment, an essential oil distillation guide, and an interesting article about 50 unexpected used for essential oils.

    Oh My Word! Saving my money now! I have been looking for this for years! You either had small countertop distillers which were not worth the time or effort or I saw a huge one that a brilliant gentleman had made and mounted it on top of a farm trailer to pull behind his truck. Thank you for making this and making it available for sale!

    When you get flavoring from fruits like watermelon for example is this the same process you need to do? i noticed that companies sell oil soluble fruit flavorings and i assume they do this process and once they get the oil from the watermelon they then dilute it into soybean oil or sunflower oil. then the diluted watermelon flavor is now transferable into making chocolates? would i just be able to do this process from the watermelons myself and then just use that oil to add into my chocolates but i would have to use less drops since it is not diluted or do they mix it with the soybean oil or sunflower oil in order for it to be emulsified in chocolate? i would greatly appreciate an answer since this kinda has me lost and i figure you might have this answer. if that is the case i would for sure buy some equipment from you! =) Thank you for your time!

    Any thoughts on creating a superheated steam version? That second boiler could have an element in it as well. Leave it off for traditional steam distillation, turn it on to get heavier compounds. Think ginger essential oil, or any resinous essential oil like that extracts much more efficiently with superheated steam.

    • @thabisozondi3921
      @thabisozondi3921 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      An industrial alternative is to have a pressure reduction valve after the boiler. Reducing the pressure of the steam leaving the boiler will give superheated steam which will give a much higher extraction for the heavier compounds you mentioned above!

    • @erich1394
      @erich1394 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thabisozondi3921 I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the thermodynamics involved with the pressure reduction. Will the steam that was saturated at boiler pressure will be superheated at a lower pressure without adding extra heat? • @bromisovalum8417
      @bromisovalum8417 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No there's no difference between glass and stainless steel. The glass setups are for lab scale, glass can break and you don't want to break a 40 liter pyrex flask (which is not exactly standard material). For essential oils you need big setups so metal is definitely the way to go if you want to cut costs. Glass is more for demonstrating purposes in this case.

    • @bromisovalum8417
      @bromisovalum8417 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are handy you can make this setup for $400, using 60 liter stainless steel milk cans at $150 a piece. Maybe if you look around you can find second hand ones for much less. Macgyver it. BTW it also works when you use one milk can and add the water to the plant material directly. The steam source doesn't need to be external, it's just more practical as you can see the water level.

When ever someone else hears you speak they get to decide whether or not to believe you. This is the equal platform and basis that we all share. That being said, the secret to life is we were never suppose to know the knowledge of good and evil we were only suppose to know the knowledge of good and yet we know the knowledge of good and evil. Therefore we have eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that is why we are here on earth because the wages of sin is death and we have to pay for that sin with our life.
    2 Kings 14:6 But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
    That being said, when Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and had kids. Because the father does not have to bear the sin of the son and the son does not have to bear the sin of the father, basically their kids had to have eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as well to end up where they ended up. If we follow this tier system all the way down to us the same thing still applies.
    So the secret to life is death, but to overcome death we use the fruit of the Spirit, following the ten commandments and the doctrine found in the King James Version Bible.
    Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
    23 Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.
    (The world's law is what this refers to because God's law says do not kill.)
    So in conclusion, Do not be afraid.
    2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
    The word religion means belief, so if you believe anything you can call it a religion.

      Nathan Hassall If that’s what you believe or concluded that the person who wrote that had enough internet time then let that be a religion because he said what ever you believe in becomes a religion. ❤️

    How do you clean the equipment? Is it easy to clean? Are there instructions? And it is efficient for small batches, or do you need copious amounts for it to work?
