My husband and I never had children. We helped many teens in our area and we even prevented teen suicides. We stay creative and run a global peace program. We would have enjoyed children but it was not possible in this lifetime. However we do really feel happy and fulfilled, because we are providing so much service to our community and the world.

After 9 years of infertility treatments 5 miscarriages and a lot of tears we reevaluated and said we have such a beautiful life and marriage, let’s focus on the beautiful things we do have. We’re married now almost 31 years. Love our 🐈 cats, and enjoy being the fave aunt and uncle. It takes awhile to heal your heart. But it can happen Best wishes to both of you❤

Really weird question but would you consider doing a womb transplant? You would use your own embryos to get pregnant still? And womb from a living person? I love these guys so much they so amazing

Please stop asking them if they have thought of adoption. "There are so many kids who need homes." I don't think you understand how hurtful it is for couples to be told they need to consider adoption and then make them feel guilty for wanting children of their own. Most of the people who ask this question have not adopted and only have children of their own. I'm sure they have deep discussions on their available options for children. The process for an adoption itself is long and can be stressful. Please give them and their medical providers every opportunity to have children of their own.
When comments like these are made, it can make couples feel as though they are selfish. Jessi and Alesso deserve respect for sharing their journey, and I'm sure there are people out there benefitting from their information. They didn't have to share this highly private part of their lives with us.

I get what you're saying, but I'd like to add to that--I'm an adoptive mother, and I am BEGGING people to stop using the phrase "children of their own, children of your own, etc." What you mean is "biological children." Nothing hurts me more than when someone says to me, "but don't you want children of your own?" "Why didn't you have children of your own?" My adopted daughter IS my own. She is no less my own daughter than if I carried her inside my body. Language and word choice matters. Please say "biogical children" when that's what you mean.

@ambergoesviolining3318 You made a great point and I thank you for reminding me of this attitude from some people. A similar situation that occurs is with blended families and children having to face being asked about step-parents when this not the case for some families. A lot of people see step parents as their real parents and vice versa for the parents. Some people may have never known their biological parent or parents and shouldn't be made to feel different due to societal norms.

I've been asked this, and in my country, adoptions are open. So the bio parents can have contact. This is not always a positive experience for the child and can be very unsettling.

    • @marjoriekeough4284
      @marjoriekeough4284 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

@@daisy9910 We have both, and much depends on the state. For closed adoptions where I am, the child may obtain the original birth certificate when (s)he reaches adulthood. The bio parents are allowed to file preference with the state, and if they don't want contact with the child the child will be told when obtaining the birth certificate. The child still gets all of the bio parents info on the birth certificate, though. This is how it should be.

“Just don’t stress” is such a frustrating thing! Of course those of us struggling with infertility don’t want to be stressed. That and “it’ll happen once you stop trying” are so diminishing.

Positivity is found inside of us... I've been in and out of hospitals since I was 2 (34 now), i went through a rare disease, three cancers, multiple surgeries, uncountable side effects, been deaf since I was 3, two years ago I even lost my ability to walk due to nerves damage... and I'm always the most positive person in the room.
    The point is, shit happens.
Don't be sad because you're deaf, be happy because you can turn on your earing devices when you want to listen and turn it off when you need some quiet.
Don't be sad that you're not walking, be happy that you have a wheelchair to move around and think that you're lucky to not be forced in bed.
You're sick? It sucks, I know... the pain, the fatigue, the frustration of not seeing any way out of it... but you can choose whether to only see the bad side of it, or focus on any "not so bad" things that happen to you day after day.
YOU have the power to change things. Start with small things, remind yourself that you're doing it to improve your situation.
If you try to change things, you can succeed or fail. If you don't try, you'll only fail.
Jessi and Alessio are right, tho. You need support, and you need to find out what really matters to you. Don't be afraid of your emotions.
In my opinion, the only limits are physics and death.
    Love yourself, you're amazing ❤

After much prayer we made the decision to adopt. Our son is almost 34 now. Praying you two find peace and wisdom that only the Lord can give. God Bless.

Jessi, I also struggle with anxiety and tend to over think even the smallest things. I've had multiple surgeries and have reached a point that I almost look forward to the anesthesia because it's a relief to have my mind medically shut off so I get some sleep! Since I have not experienced your challenges, I can't pretend to understand your battle against endometriosis or the IVF journey you and Alessio are going through, however, I can emphasize and keep you both in my prayers.
What I didn't hear either of you mention in this video is the importance of communication. You two are clearly a strong, loving, understanding and communicative couple. I think communicating with and understanding each other are major reasons you've been able to remain positive. You two should take credit for your communication skills because you are clearly extremely proficient in the often difficult art of it ❤

I’ve never had kids, and I don’t regret it at all! I’ve been a professor of film studies for my entire career-here in the U.S. and at a university in Europe. I’ve also worked with kids as a volunteer tutor-in Italy, as a matter of fact. I live a rich and fulfilling life and if I could, I’d foster both dogs and cats for rescues. Unfortunately, my living situation doesn’t allow it. So I have a cat and have had cats for 30 years. I’m certainly not drawing comparisons, but it seems to me you guys really love each other and support each other. You have no end of things you do and want to do in life. Those things are a recipe for a great life!
I hope, in the event that you can’t have a baby, that you really do practice radical acceptance. I’ve done that a number of times, and it has helped me immeasurably. However you do it, or whatever you call it, meeting yourself exactly where you are, in my experience, is the key to happiness.

Beautifully said. I chose to not have children, and this is a cat household. A&J, if one is near you, hubs and I have experienced so much joy from fostering cats and kittens from the Humane Society. You pay for nothing (depending on the place you choose, YMMV). They give you food, supplies, vet care, everything. ALL you have to do is love them, socialize them if needed, and share some of your photos with potential adopters. You'll see Micha turn into a kitten again. Our cats are older, and they get so playful when a newbie comes into the mix. When you foster a cat that you fall in love in, and Micha is sleeping in the same bed and washing their face, you can join the "Foster Fail" club.
There are many, many ways to leave a legacy. Love each other, and love yourselves.

Unless you have a chronic condition it can be hard for others to understand their well meaning questions can hurt. It’s also hard for those with chronic conditions to remember people are asking if you have tried xyz because they want to help. Or maybe something did help them or someone they know. I know for me it can be a slap in the face. You are already dealing with your body letting you down. Most people have tried all the things. So it gets annoying and frustrating when people ask if you have done this or that. Or when you shoot down their idea because you know it will not work for your situation.
I love your mentality and perspective. My prayers are with you

You will find your own path and what works for you. Both my sister and I had fertility issues. She had endometriosis. Mine took longer to sort out as an underlying endocrine problem with my adrenal glands it was too late by the time it got discovered. But, frankly, I took a different approach because I saw my sister become obsessed with becoming pregnant. She went on fertility drugs for way way too long and it impacted her mental health, they tried IVF which failed and she unraveled as did her marriage. I was in graduate school until quite late and by the time I was even looking into these issues I was already older and I had a number of complex health issues so it was a no brainer for me to just reformulate. I love kids but I refused to torment myself as I saw her do. It sounds like you’ve gone through a similar process and are moving forward, hoping for the best, but appreciating what you have.. I’m sure you will still have challenging times emotionally but your overall mindset and outlook is a positive one.
And regarding lifestyle and nutrition…yes, it can affect any illness. Anything autoimmune or inflammatory, somewhat more. So yes you want to optimize, as you’ve been doing, but it’s not going to cure endometriosis. I feel your frustration. My husband has a rare bone marrow cancer and has the absolute best team who saved his life against odds. And, although well intentioned, I have friends saying he needs to eat this (actually, no, that’s not healthy for him post stem cell transplant), or use CBD oil…the guy is needing daily platelets and blood to stay alive every day with complex coordinated care but avoiding gluten will do it. So, yes, people are well intentioned but it can be a tad frustrating sometimes. Anyhow, all the best to both of you. When times are rough, remember to cherish one another. It’s been a protracted battle for us but we try to turn it around that we are both still alive and lucky to have one another.

Guys! Listening to you made me remember our fertility journey, it is not so long as yours.. But! I had struggles mentally to accept that we have a problem in conceiving, i was crying every single moment, I didn't want to see anyone.. I did a lot of therapy that helped me to get rid some of these feelings, try IVF (although it was difficult financialy for us) and try to have our precious baby.. Meanwhile I realized that I love my husband, I love travelling and having a good time with him, I have my 2 beautiful cats that I love so much...and that was something that made me be less depressed day by day..
Be positive and everything will be fine! I hope that your story will have a happy ending.. It already has a happy ending, you have each other! And Micia of course!!❤ (Sorry if my English are broken, Balkan here!!😂)

Just continue to be your positive, beautiful, happy selves!
I have had RA for almost 25 years and continue to get the same advice from people, i.e., that if I would only give up: gluten, meat, diary, nightshades, wine, bla, bla, bla. And, yes, it feels judgmental - almost like it’s your fault you have a medical condition. I have tried eliminating all of the above, to NO effect (I have found that limiting alcohol does seem to make a difference) other than being more stressed trying to figure out what the heck to eat and cook. I confess I was beyond relieved that giving up gluten and nightshades didn’t make a difference because life without pasta, good bread/bruschetta, tomatoes or eggplant would be more than I could bear! I need my pasta and caponata!!! 😂😂😂 Keep the faith!

My wife and I went thru all this same struggle between 2006 and 2010. It was heartbreaking to watch my wife go thru the ups and downs associated with Endo, PCOS, and other fertility issues. We did what you are doing. However, my wife decided in 2009 that after many failed attempts and much pain, she opted for a total hysterectomy. My husband was international pilot doing lot of flying for the military (he was retired military). After 9/11 he was flying in and out of war zones being shot at when taking off and landing. I prayed a lot and I was thanking God he was home safe and sound for a few days. Then God let me know it didn’t matter if he was home, on a trip, or flying only He knew what day, year, and time and I didn’t control it or keep him for one extra second. I stopped worrying about. I was scared at times then I have to remember God has it.
As DES Daughter I was told I would not live past 30. I turn 69 next month. Lot of surgeries and little anxiety but it’s in God’s hands.

Not because I'm Italian also....but living in Italy and exploring more traditional, ancestral, clean food and lifestyle would definitely help you out. It's considered "conspiracy" talk, but with some research it's crazy the amount of things you find that can impact our hormones and overall health. More and more women have fertility issues, more and more men have incredibly low testosterone levels... to the point that they changed the standard reference levels because the average has dropped significantly. If you have the option, leave the US

    Romans 8:28
This comes from a 62 year old woman who's been married for 42 years with no children of our own. We wanted them earlier in marriage and like you just thought that's what was supposed to happen. We have been blessed with the love of so many children. Scripture says that a woman with no children of her own will be the mother of many. Yeah, that's me! I love our life and I am thankful, now, that we didn't have any children. Life works out, now matter how it works out.
I am not sayint our path is yours, at all! I am just saying this is where I am. God has His plans for you 2 and no one's lives work out the same. I want Gods best for you 2. Just keeps loving each other and living your lives and blessing where you can and it will all be fine!❤️🙂🙏🙌

Jessie you'll be in great hands, make sure to write down all the questions you have in your head no matter how big or small or how silly they might seem, just ask and writing down helps you to remember them. I found that if I ask the doctor/sugeon to talk me through the procedure that I feel less worried and it helps you understand and feel more in control which is so important when going into surgery I feel. Prayers and love with you both.
I live in Bari and I find the healthcare here is very good and I've had much quicker and better treatment than I've had in the UK. personally I think the Italian health systerm is good and I personally have nothing but praise for the treatment I've been given or the treatments of my friends or family have had too, and I think it's great how private and ASL work together unlike in the UK.

Hey guys! Always lovely to see your beaming faces! I know everyone wants to throw their 2 cents and it's because despite never having met you, we all truly care. So here is my question: Have you ever looked into something called Histamine Intolerance or MCAS? As I heard it can be closely related to endometriosis. It's a disorder that can manifest in a plethora of ways depending on the person. I have it and have been managing it for years now and things have gotten a lot better. Once you read up about it many things may click. You can listen to Michelle Shapiro, RD and Organic Olivia on TH-cam, they really knows what they're talking about. In bocca al lupo and looking forward to your next update 😘

Hi there from an endo friend. Thanks for the update and sharing your experience. We are over here cheering you on! Praying your dreams do come true. 💛
Not advice just my brain being curious: Something that came to mind that I wonder about for people with infertility due to fallopian tube problems is if a fallopian tube transplant is an option. Pretty radical but if possible I imagine could be a possible solution to help people.

I think so many people ask about the nutrition thing because so many people are just now having their eyes opened and they just want to help. Personally I’ve studied nutrition for 14 years. Every single body is different. You’re right. One size does not fit all. I think the worst culprit is gluten and dairy. In the US. Not other countries.

My heart goes out to you guys. ❤ I have endometriosis, and my husband and I never made it to the finish line with IVF. I have adhesions too, and as a result, I had only one functioning tube. Then we had an ectopic pregnancy with the remaining tube. It was gut-wrenching to go through at the time, but my husband and I decided to regroup and focus on living our best life. We saved up to open a restaurant instead of spending all of our money on IVF, and it all worked out for the best in the end. Having said that, I really do hope we see a baby on the other side of this rough patch for you guys. ❤ Hang in there. ❤

Sending hugs your way! Also have you heard of methylate and have you had those levels checked? I came across it a couple of days ago doing research on something I found out that depending on where your methylate levels are at can cause endometriosis along with many other issues including fertility and mental and neurological.

Speaking as someone who probably won’t have kids due to the disability I was born with, an how people especially women view an treat me cause of it, wanna say cherish having each other even though u may not be having kids, many people in this life don’t realize how precious an rare it is just to have someone u love an be able to have them by ur side, let alone have a baby/ be able to create a family. In my eyes that type of thing is privileged because only a certain amount of people actually get to experience having the ability to create a family an have it be stable at the same time !

You are truly humble and certainly wishing the best for those with fertility issues. Just a fyi I knew a woman who had food allergies and learned that avoiding those allergens was key for her. For those with blocked tubes diet is of no consequence. You are surely a kind lady with good intentions. Everyone here wishes this couple all the best. I surely do.

I know that pcos is not my fault, but i cannot to stop thinking how happy he could be If he be with anyone else, any of my friends of girls from highschool…all of them made familiies. I have the best husband, he is such a sweet man with golden heart. I think how cute he would be with pregnant wife how happy, and he would be the best dad ever. I dont really cry when see pregnant women, but when i see those happy to be farhers my heart is broken.
Sometimes i think that mayby i should leave him so he could be with better women :( im shit Haha sorry for sad comment for such a wonderfull and hopefull viedeo.

No matter what happens, it takes practice and more practice to make a happy family. Keep the boyfriend/girlfriend romance going your entire marriage. Romantic laziness of a spouse is a terrible thing. If you are too sad to be romantic, there is something wrong.

Cats need a mircochip, exam by USDA registered vet, and rabies vaccine given within a certain time, along with a certificate of health from the same USDA approved vet. There isn’t a quarantine for cats for EU countries. The health has a very limited time frame, it’s pretty wild!!

Mind over matter doesn't always mean that the problem isn't there.
The one thing that really upsets me about Western medical Doctors is that their constantly telling a patient that the illness they are dealing with is theirs.
    So you said my endometriosis....
Sweetheart quit taking credit for the illness.
Your body is your body in the endometriosis is a disorder. We can look at language and why we use certain words and the words we choose can impact us a great deal overall.
You can stop saying yours and just say the endometriosis in my body. All this does is takes your power back and it keeps you from being powerless over endometriosis or any other complaint.
See it as a dis-order in the body or a dis-ease.
It's only taking hold of you so strongly because you giving it all your power.
I've been dealing with crohn's disease for 25 years and the best way I've known to manage it is by the simple trick that could also help you as well.
