This is one of my favorite videos of yours, it is extremely relatable! We’re all out here just trying to learn new things, love our families, and love God (first and foremost). Thank you for sharing your love of homemaking.
Catherine Shanahan author of the book “Deep Nutrition” once wrote that we used to think about food like farmers and chefs - focusing on flavour, soil composition & freshness, now we talk about food like scientists (talking about carbohydrates, protein…). One thing I love about you and your take on food, Sarah, is that you are the chef/farmer and focus on nutrition and taste! ✨👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and yes, I love that you avoid toxic seed oils! Thank-you!
I def love ppl trying new things out and being completely honest on whether it was worth the time and effort put in. I can def see myself making that cheese every once in a while especially when the milk is getting a bit old
My mom used to make that “farmers cheese” all the time because where we lived didn’t have access to cheese! She would keep the whey that you drain out of the curds and put them in her bread (healthy and tasted SO good). Not sure if that would work with sour dough ?
Loved this! Please do more videos like this! I've always wondered about making my own cereal but seemed like a lot of effort for a few bowls haha - I appreciate your honest review! Really value your channel and how you don't try to glamorise homemaking or make it seem out of reach xx
You made PANEER! (Cottage Cheese) You'll find a lot of Indian recipes with Paneer from sandwiches to parathas to wraps and whatnot... It's a very very good source of protein, so great for the little ones!
Try the amazing chocolate milk !!! 1 cup raw milk 2 tablespoons cocao 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon collagen ½ bone broth (optional) Ice Blend and enjoy.. it's amazing!!!
I regularly make the Ricotta you made using goats milk. To curdle the milk I use citric acid, a bit of cheese salt then a tablespoon of lemon juice at the end. The salt can go in whilst the milk is heating and when you strain the cheese keep the Whey and bottle it for drinking. The Whey is extremely good for your liver and gallbladder and can assist to remove sludge that builds up. ❤ It will keep for about 2-3 weeks in the fridge and can also be used as a substitute for butter milk.
I was like, "First time making food??" knowing you have made food on here several times... making cereal seems like an interesting event for sure. I loved how your pretzel buns turned out!
Ahh Sarah!! I love this so much and I’m so obsessed with your content. You are such an inspiration to me and I love your content. Your videos are always so fun to watch and I love your day to day life. I aspire to be like you one day and make all my food from scratch. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
I love your videos! Watching them has giving me the confidence to make things at home, like brown sugar, and sourdough discard recipes. This was one of my favorite videos though, and I would love to see more!
Thanks for sharing! Awhile ago I discovered that many cheeses are actually very low in lactose. As a nutritionist who has IBS and am lactose intolerant I was so excited to find that many lactose intolerant people can tolerate cheese (especially hard cheeses) myself included! I thought I'd share encase it helps anyone else!
Hi Sarah! I made your discard biscuit recipe from the website and wanted to mention that the instructions say to cook for 15-20 minutes, where as the "bakers timeline" says 30 minutes. It is definitely supposed to be 30 minutes, so it threw me off a little. Thank you for all you do!
Loved this video! Bought a kbs bread machine 🙈 coz you made me😂 can’t wait to try it out-any tips? Oh, how long did you boil the buns for and how long to bake? Thank you for your amazing content!
Loved seeing your reactions to what you made ☺️ We have celiac, so we are gluten free, but now I want to figure out how to make pretzel buns with my gluten free sourdough! Just found you recently and love your content, sweet spirit, and all that you share ❤️
Hi, your videos help me to be confident in the kitchen. Could you please make a video about cooking utensils you use and which ones aren't worth purchasing. I get overwhelmed by the cooking spoons - I'm sure you don't need that many. I'm also a single parent now so money is tight, it'd be a great help to spend on stuff I will actually enjoy using while learning to cook.
Hey what video has the banana sourdough loaf that was just a trial but you said the recipe in it? I haven’t stopped thinking about it I want to try it!
Sarah, this is definitely my favorite video you’ve done! It felt so personable and relatable and like we were chatting on FaceTime as friends! I also loved the cheese and will definitely be trying it at home soon. 🩷🩷
I've been wanting to make cheese for a while but haven't yet actually done it. Maybe now I'll have to try it. When you say whole milk from the store do you mean the 3% stuff? Where I am in Langley BC it's about $24 for a jug of raw milk, which has been holding me back, but if I can just use milk from the store this'll make it much more affordable for us.
Hi Sarah, loved, loved, loved your video💕 I might try making my own cheese. Would love to try making the pretzel buns but that looks a bit intimidating 😅. God bless you, looking forward to your next video 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Loved this! Ive never made any of those either! I have been considering the connomon toast crunch as well mostly for the kids, i do make granola a lot, in fact i made it this morning, its good with milk or yogurt of corse, but what a fun video! Ill have to try the cereal, and the cereal you buy, what a great deal! I'll have to look for that! Im in the US, so the price might be different, but sounds great! ❤
Life hack: use the leftover whey liquid from making the cheese and use it in place of water when you make bread. It does't change the flavour of the bread much but it does increase the protein content of the bread and better than throwing it out!
I sing and make funny voices while I'm doing house stuff, too. 😉 My kids think it's lame-but they're older than yours. (Wait for it. Hehehe) Love how you make the word "bagel" sound like "beggle" 😁 , and thank you for the on-the-fly-recipe for the pretzels buns! Yay, I'm all for as much local, healthy, whole foods as a family can manage! You have a pizza cutter! (Feel better, K.) 🙂
That cheese is supposed to be crumbly, very crumbly. It is great make fillings with and use in pierogi and other things i have no translation in English for.
I have recently come across your channel and 💜 your videos and Faith. Love making cheese! Next time, save the whey. Great for incorporating into recipes and has health benefits.
No mater what is claimed raw milk is not the safest. Buuuut if youre looking for dairy that is easier on the stomach look for pasteurized NON homogenized. You get the benefits of the cream top without the sickness part.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours, it is extremely relatable! We’re all out here just trying to learn new things, love our families, and love God (first and foremost). Thank you for sharing your love of homemaking.
I am thrilled to hear this! God bless you friend 😘🧡
Big fan of literally all your videos and would love more of these where you’re trying new things - love the authenticity & inspiration!!!! 🫶🏼
I agree. This should be a series. You're so fun. God bless.
I would love this as a new series 🤞🏼 so fun!

You put malt barley in the water they’ll have a yummy flavor like bakery fresh pretzels and bagels do
I have had several baking fails this week and this was INSPIRING. Thank you. Good to know we all fail sometimes. 🥰
Can you please do a video on the main dangerous ingredients to be on the lookouts for?
This was fun and felt realistic. I try new things a lot. That is how you find your new favorites and learn what isn’t worth your time!

i must try this, thank YOU! 😘

Can you do a video on how you organize your baking supplies in your kitchen

Oh, how long did you boil the buns for and how long to bake? Thank you for your amazing content!
Loved this video!! 🙏🏼💕 you bring so much joy 🤩
How long did you boil the pretzel buns for?
About disliking milk and liking cream. I personally can't stand liver, even the smell....but I do like pate, no problem with that😂
I loved this video!! Thank you for sharing!
I looooove this video. I love all your videos. But this one was simple, short, experimental and so funny. I love your takeaway message at the end 🤣🤣
Add flaky salt to the tops of the sourdough pretzel buns before baking!! I can eat them for dessert they're so good!! 🎉
Loved seeing your reactions to what you made ☺️ We have celiac, so we are gluten free, but now I want to figure out how to make pretzel buns with my gluten free sourdough! Just found you recently and love your content, sweet spirit, and all that you share ❤️

Lovely as usual. I use lemon juice or yogurt instead of vinegar, best cheese for children❣️
do you do the same steps? just boil it, add the yogurt/lemon juice and then strain it?
@@AP-yw7yq Yes, that's all, very simple, greek yoghurt work's the best for my taste but lemon is good as well.
Loved this video. Going to try the pretzel buns! 😍
Love this video!
Do you have a link for the pretzel buns?
Hmmm I may have to try that cheese recipe!! Very interesting video!!
That cheese looks like it would be amazing on some toast with tomatoes
Wheredo you source organic flour in BC?
That cheese is supposed to be crumbly, very crumbly. It is great make fillings with and use in pierogi and other things i have no translation in English for.

You’re way too cute. And a cute personality. New subscriber and pretty excited to follow you.
The sound feels echoey. Could you use a microport?
I thought tocopherols was just vitamin E?
