That’s insane. I kept thinking at any second you’re going to make the slightest mistake and end up in the river. I think this is by far the best dirtbike video I have ever seen.
This was one of the best put together single track trail rides of such an amazing area of our beautiful USA I've seen. Very good job @RacerRed Thank you for sharing your experience.
We rode this trail in late August 2019. Helmet cam doesn't do it justice, it is even more beautiful in person. RacerRed, we were a bit nervous after seeing this video (before we rode the trail), but it is actually a lot wider than it appears in the video, and not nearly as intimidating as we expected. For all the potential riders out there, don't hesitate, it is an amazing, memorable ride. Thanks for the videos RacerRed!
I only wish it was a loop instead of out and back! The trail is exactly as it looks in the video, and I would highly suggest that you don't take beginners on it! I have had a few beginners inquire about it, but i was intimidated coming back up the trail a few of the climbs and I am an expert rider. Its a beautiful area, and the drive is worth the trip by itself!
@@RacerRed it really is! I live in Victor. Hit me up if you're ever riding over here.. Also if I can get more info on you're trail. keith@summithandyman.us
If like to get the trail info also if possible! I’m a local grew up here and have never seen this one! Would really love to check it out. Thanks for sharing this man! Looks super fun! Nick34palmer@gmail.com would really love to try this one out. I’ll keep it a secret! Haha
@RacerRedThis is great footage! As a local, your content inspires me to get out and ride. There is too much beauty to not get out and see. Do you know if they did end up closing this trail down?
Are there grizzlies in Idaho? Imagine coming around a corner on that trail and seeing a grizzly up ahead! You: ????!!!!! Grizzly: Wow - I didn't know I could have lunch delivered here! Cool! ;););) Very scenic trail. Only trouble is, in some areas, you make one little mistake and you're done. Not for me. But appreciate the video!
Yeah, the trail is an out and back. I wish there was a loop, but it ends up at private property. Still well worth the ride, though! thanks for commenting.
No one knows what trail it is, he doesn’t say it in the video. There are multiple trails like this in the South Fork, and only ballsy people go up that. Some people won’t even walk that. I’ve been up on a Mountain Bike and that was even terrifying.
I did not read all the comments and did not see anything about direction. Is the trail one way???? I would not want to meet another rider or hiker . But then there are probably not two crazies at the same time doing that ride. :-) just teasing. What a ride.
This trail is out-and-back. There is very low traffic on this trail, and if you do come across other people you can get around each other fairly easily.
Your bike is running lean. You should never hear that 2 stroke wing wing sound. I noticed you mentioned that it’s down on low end power. You need to fatten up that low mixture to protect your motor.
It ran perfectly in this video in my opinion. A lean condition will produce a dead spot where the bike is begging for more fuel, which this bike has never had. The bike got drowned in water and has slight power loss since then. The bike currently has 300+ hours on it and still running strong. I keep playing with air/fuel to see if I can bring the crisp power off bottom back. We’ll see what happens I guess.
@@RacerRed 300 hrs is very impressive. But listen to other bikes and you will hear how they sound like they are stumbling and not firing every time unless you are hard on the throttle. Personally I always tuned my 2 strokes to have that wing ding sound. But today the bikes are coming out of the factory rich. It helps cool the motor and protects the motor from hot spots. On one of your other videos I noticed that your bike sounded like 2 strokes of the past. With the wing wing wing when you let off the throttle and the nice sounding crisp firing of the motor when your light on the throttle. I just bought a Beta 300 and I think it sounds terrible as it stumbles ands sounds like it’s firing every 2nd or 3rd stroke unless your deep on the throttle. But that seems to be the way the fat and the dealers want them now days. They say even raw gas is a better lubricant than nothing and it helps cool the piston.
So you have no concept of how big the earth is? Dirtbikes are already outlawed on 99% of the land. Millions of miles are quiet. Some of us still believe in freedom
The funny thing is most guys who are riding at this level, seeking out these types of advanced technical trails, the most challenging of the challenging, they respect nature just as much as you do. Just because there’s a loud motor between our legs doesn’t mean we are denigrating the land. Most of us don’t liter, don’t rip up the land, don’t speed, and don’t want our trails taken away. Our bikes are ultra modern and have clean emissions, spark arrestors, they don’t drip or leak gas/oil. We love the land just as much as anyone who walks it. Sorry if we do it on a combustion engine but it’s just how we like it. To each their own.
Keyword usage is everything :) TH-cam made it so that we can't have regular titles. key phrases associated with this trail that people look up when they search for this trail are: Idahos deadliest trail, south fork salmon river, and idaho cliff trail

I’ve been up this one and it’s a little wider in person but still just as sketchy. I went up there to find elk and deer sheds. It’s even more sketchy driving back with more weight on your bike 😂.
No your just to afraid to ride it you have to get over your fears it’s really not that bad of a trail but some parts are sketchy comment something more relevant next time thanks.

This is a gnarly place! I was glad my rear tire was hooking up on the way back up.
You my friend are a madman... I wouldn’t even walk that thing, let alone ride it! Nice work.
It was a blast to ride! I was constantly surprised at how scenic it was.
@Colorado on Two It’s not that bad when your on it in person it’s a lot more white and it’s sketchy at the start but towards the ends its that not bad
I meant to say wide
5:38 Beautiful indeed. Go pros have such wide angles most scenes look too far away. This one looks brilliant!
I went back there on a mountain bike and had to push it for part of the trail because it was so scary but came back with a bunch of elk and deer horns
Nice! Some of this is definitely sketchy. I’m glad you found sheds back in there!

Paul Van Hout you stop and if the trail is too tight to pass, the down hill rider backs up.

How long and miles
I think this was 16 miles. Its not a long ride, and is out and back. You have to ride back the same way you came.

Its gets easier up a head... ahhhhhh pffft

Nope!
Not a smart place to ride. It lures all kind of riders, some that could get killed and give dirt biking a even more bad name.
