The only unforeseen thing about this trail is an impassable rock slide. Turning back 180* on that narrow trail you would have to be Graham Jarvis to pull it off...BTW great views all around, I stop the action to zoom inn on the awesome views at most ever turn, I liked the drone view @ 6:00...I'm 83 with a truck camper and KTM 300 traveling full time on the road and will be heading to Idaho for this summer just to ride single track trails...gotta love them dirt bikes.

Always so much harder riding exposure downhill for some reason, especially if your rear brake foot is on the uphill side. Have to use more front brake so your steering inputs are more loaded and sluggish and the front end wants to follow the fall line instead of the trail bed.

With a motorcycle you can usually lean it into the hill and that will give the opposing rider a way around. There are places even on that trail to do that, but, some places are just too sketchy. You may need to roll back a hundred yards or so. The other rider should help you. Most of us trail riders are courteous.

One of the best jobs in the world is the Idaho Trail Rangers who maintain these backcountry routes! A large part of the riding community also pack saws on their bikes as well. Hopefully this year I will have a saw mount so that I can help more in the early season tree clearing.
I'm not certain who exactly established the trail, but I had the pleasure of talking to a man who rode that trail back in 1970. I believe the original users of that trail were the property owners of the ranch on the other side of the property boundary at the end of the trail. As I heard, it was just as sketchy back then (if not more) than it is now!

I do appreciate you not naming the trail , I never use trail names or locations eather. Now I just watched a sit down rider ride it on a big heavy DS bike so I wouldn't call it hard. The trail bed is mostly smooth ,it's not steep. It does have exposure.

I would definitely have one chamberd on my chest, and one chamberd in my pants! Plus, because I'm so bad ass, I couldn't wait for the bottom. I bought my 300 a year earlier and have to kick. So as I put my support leg down and slip, I'd get it started half way down just to prove that I don't need no stinking button! Lol Awesome vid!

@madjack_757 It's gnarly, like my pipe. I grew up on 4 strokes. And you can ride it like one from off throttle to half. That gets you through some bitchen singal track. Then half through full throttle for your annual Virginia City Grand Prix, and long desert rides through wash outs and baby heads, it really does it all. It's the long hill climes that I wish I had the xc, but the xc-w is everything I need in a bike. 🤘

Bro I ride a dual sport. Im gonna run the most aggressive dual sport tires that hold their own on the trail but of course they're not gonna be like a MX52 or something. As for the goggles, stuffs expensive. That set alone was more than $70.
