    This Daw is really, really good and very easy to work creatively with. Add to that the fact that there's a MASTERING suite built in which kicks and some fantastic plugins e.g. Multiband compression, limiters, Open Air reverb etc. I've written and recorded everything from jazz to funk to reggae to country to orchestral scores. Especially easy to score films with too.
    Believe me: it does what it says on the box and far more.

    Just had to come back and look at the video which inspired me to get Studio One.
    Several tracks later (and counting),...I'm still loving it.
    Thanks Presonus,...and thanks T.R.
    I'm a fan for life.

      ***** YES!!! TR is the reason I'm using Studio One as well. Saw some videos of him using it and explaining its features a few yrs back, downloaded the demo version, and about 6hrs later I removed EVERY DAW I had installed on my pc and I haven't looked back since... From the beginning to the ending of my production, I use Studio One for EVERYTHING. #FanForLIFE!

    Worth noting is that Wolfgang Kundrus, who was the lead developer for Cubase, works for us on Studio One now.

    From the drop-down menu in Studio One, choose "Import." Note that if you are using Studio One Artist, you cannot import .MP3s. .MP3s can be converted to .WAVs using free audio software like Audacity.

    i totally agre im an engineer/producer out here in New Orleans , and i got into Studio One because my computer crashed that had protools and i was looking for a DAW that wouldn't crash , and it was the one , IT has not let me down , when i figured out that i could change the tempo on audio tracks , i went absolutely crazy in the studio . Studio One is the future of Music making and production .

    As someone who used Reaper a lot too (and still love it), the workflow in Studio One is amazing and made me start using it. Everything feels very simple and organized and I learned it very quickly. I know it's still in its early stages so I can't wait to see where it goes because it's off to great start.

    I have been working on mixes for a long time and came from the Protools HD gear and I have to admit, studio one pro has me blown away. I worked with Logic, Cubase, Protools and many others and they really are no comparison. I still run protools and did a double mix on a track and played both studio one won this competiton hands down. I love it.

  • @ricknaqvi
    @ricknaqvi 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @HighHopesBass Well, we could have put some other limitation on S1 Artist like limited tracks, limited number of inserts, etc.. But we decided to make it limitless in regards to the total number of tracks. Since we give it away with our interfaces, we chose to limit the plugins to the ones that it comes with. But when you upgrade for $199, you not only get VST, you also get the Mastering Page, mp3 support, Video Support, Soundcloud Support and more. Hope you'll try the demo of S1Pro.

    this is awesome news:) I'm really thrilled about this coz you merely read my mind
    so there's one little thing left, since you have pre roll, it makes sense to add post roll as well. as it is very useful for instance when a vocalist is recording in loop recording mood, it gives him/her a chance to breath between takes.

    • @537Films
      @537Films 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      PreSonus Audio Electronics jbridge dont work on windows 8.1 and why not make it so 32bit vsts work in the 64bit studio one why should we have to buy jbridge or go back and forth from s1 32 to s1 64 work flow is everything and you guys are slacking in that area when it comes to the 32bit vsts working in the 64bit s1 im just saying why make a good program that everyone loves and then slack when it comes to something this

    • @presonus
      @presonus  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 537Films, I understand your frustration.
      There are a few reasons for the decision not to include bit-bridging natively in Studio One. First, bit-bridging is a processor-intensive task that can increase latency, thereby impairing workflow. Furthermore, as you've probably experienced, not all 32-bit VSTs work well under JBridge. This would likely be the case with a native bit-bridging feature as well, which would result in an increase in user frustration in Studio One. There are so many 32-bit VSTs out there that it is unrealistic for us to think that we could not only test for compatibility with every single one of them, but also incorporate changes to the bridging software to accommodate them all.
      Last but not least, we think it best that we focus our development time and effort on forward-thinking tools, rather than on features that may only amount to a series of inconsistent workarounds for employing the tools of yesteryear.
      I would encourage you to contact the developers of the 32-bit VSTs you like and ask them to make 64-bit versions. Thanks for your feedback!

    what plugins can you use like waves etc.

  • @youmilkpack
    @youmilkpack 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The one feature that i really want is as of Cubase, the library plugin sorted folder!
    To be able to sort for instance Waves many many plugins (with difficult short names) to Reverbs, Delays, EQs ect is a godsend! I HATE it in Logic when hundreds of plugins is listed this way! I actually switched to Cubase for this feature alone at one time.
    PLEASE Presonus develope this! Include this sorted folders and I will switch to Studio One straight up!

    This is great, actually there where some sorted already that I totally missed! So if they are working on it more that´s very good.
    One thing that is important is that I noticed AU instruments/Plugins from Softtube doesn´t update presets! But the VST versions do. This can be a problem for other Vendors as well, I´m thinking.
    And hey, thanks for listening and forwarding.
    Best Regards,

    Gathering an education on what audio editing software to use when mixing soundtrack with spoken word in my film shorts. Love, love Teddy Riley - (how many records/CDs do I own with him listed as the producer???) This was very informative and as soon as I determine if Studio One is on the Mac platform, which I believe it is, I'll be trying to get this program soon. Whoever edited this, very good. Love the Sony lawyers graphic, too funny!!!

  • @youmilkpack
    @youmilkpack 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The thing is midi isn´t TIGHT. Once you´re done editing you go for Region Bounce and the timing is rock solid. Imaging 40 tracks with MIDI and delay compensation and all. Teddy is all in for the groovy tight sounds, as are you? :)
    Another reason is that you choose that you´re done and move on not worrying bout "should I change the midi for the 1000´s time or not".. it´s audio now baby, BOOM!

    in a few weeks I'll be tracking out my buddy he's a Gospel artist. Im using my Acer Laptop with a Focusrite Scarlette 18i6 and Motu 8pre for additional 8inputs with my old Yamaha MR1642. I also record Church services with S1. I love it so far!!!!

    Absolutely best DAW out there!!! Thank you PreSonus!!!
    Only thing that would be good to add to V2 is music notation function and surround support.
    Other than that I'm very happy user.
