I would like knew it 1 year ago, when install iOS 14 on my iPhone 7 Plus, I started to have some issues random, but since I found this channel and try update to 14.5 as you recommended and now I feel that runs better than any previous iOS 14 version
I would agree with you if this was an update as massive as like iOS 6 to iOS 7 were big redesigns and even a lot of under the hood changes happened. But iOS 14 to iOS 15 is so minimal that unless you know the features you won’t know. Each major iOS update patches a whole lot of bugs and adds more security features that make it worth it from day 1. While there may be hiccups it isn’t as crazy as the old days. I think Apple has learned a lot which is why a lot of features are disabled until future updates. To make sure that when day 1 is released is not unusable. They used to release half baked stuff and it cause the whole system to be buggy. I believe that was back on iOS 8 to iOS 10 days

man my iphone 5 got super bricked going from like 9 to 10.... all my apps stopped working and then I was blocked from the appstore from updating the apps, no tried changing the battery half a dozen times and it always gets burnt up and only lasts ~45min of use after a couple months of use...
Finally got an iphone6s because theyre discontinuing 3G service in my area.... traded in a handful of spare parts that resembled my current iphone5 for a 200$ phone ima sell on amazon.
my damn 6s got 85% of the way upgrading from 11 to 15 before I caught it just in time. so frustrating.
there is something to be said about having security through obscurity. Actually that was Macs big appeal when they were first becoming popular. Time to desolder my microphone from the logicboard.

Apple has already announced they will be supporting iOS 14 along side iOS 15. So you aren't really missing out on security updates either way if you want to wait a bit.

I'm using 7+ I updated it to iOS 15 the battery life was same and it was smooth (no issues)
Everything you said is true, unfortunately I updated to 10, the result is battery life has clearly decreased

Plz if you are reading this and you have one of old iPhones and don’t know if you update to ios 15 or not,I strongly suggest you to update to ios15..it is fucking smooth and haven’t seen any major issues yet

My iPhone 6s would not allow me to manage my iWatch Series 6 with the iPhone 6s iWatch APP unless I updated to iOS 15 on the iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s iWatch APP did not say to update to iOS 15 specifically, but did say to update to the latest iOS. The iPhone said it was up-to-date but showed iOS 15 was available as an option, so in my case the only update available was the iOS 15 update. After I applied that update (which was a chore due to the free memory requirements to do so) the iPhone iWatch APP worked as before.
New sub here. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and haven’t loaded iOS 15. My battery is draining so fast already and has been for the last few months. More all the time. I keep the apps closed, or as they say not running in the background. I’m not tech savvy at all. What can I do to help my battery life? I like my iPhone 7 and really don’t need all the extra higher tech that the newer iPhones offer. My 7 is perfect for what I need as I use my iPad Pro that I purchased in 2016 or 2017 for most of my needs. I’m on my iPad most of the time and only use my iPhone when I’m out of the house in my car. Any tips on what I can do as my battery just drains when I’m just having a conversation. If I use my Google maps while driving, I have to keep it plugged in the car bc it will go from 100% down to like 50% in 20 minutes time. Please any help would be highly appreciated. Can I buy a new battery? Don’t mean to sound ignorant, but just being honest and as I said, I’m NOT TECH SAVVY AT ALL! 😊

I still have IPhone 6s and so ready to have a new phone. I haven’t updated to latest IOS on my phone nor did I the last few ones.
However I still do plan to keep my present phone after I upgrade as the phone is worth more me keeping it than the meagre £25 or less, than what Apple may offer, not even that.......

Right bro. According to my tests, iOS 14.7(18g69) is so far and forever will be the best performance version on iPhone 7 Plus. (If you set the location to Spain, it will give you a even sharper touch response like ios12 or 13 had. Idk why thou. Generally speaking, iOS 14 gives a softer touch response than previous versions but has a slightly better performance.)14.7.1 or 14.8 will be slower than that version.
iOS 15 sucks, it drains my battery faster and gives a worse performance. The touch response is the softest ever(with a big latency). Playing GarageBand instruments on it doesn’t feel comfortable.

@@dinozaurpickupline4221 If you are using a iPhone SE 2020 running iOS 15, just keep using it. It should work quite decently on an A13 chip. The other hand , iPhone 6s has been obsolete today even at its peak performance iOS version(like iOS 9, it beat any other phones out there in 2016). My advice is to keep upgrading within the boarder of iOS 15, watch reviews before doing it and make sure you got aperture time to rollback in case the new update damages performance. You can find the best iOS 15 version and keep it on your phone forever.

Okkk so I got my old iPhone 6s right and it was on auto update I forgot to take it off and every time I try to turn it on it gets stuck on the apple logo screen and it stays on there till I either turn it off myself or let it die and now I can’t use it 😭

iOS15 on my SE1 is working pretty much fine! Discord isn’t lagging to text anymore, pretty cool feature to translate text without leaving the app. So far, I’m liking it! Haven’t found any serious bugs. Can’t say about battery, since mine is at 81% so I am not expecting to last longer tho (I always keep a powerbank close wherever I go)

Bought a second iphone - 7 after my first 7 had a Screen Repair for £40 but put a cheap made in china screen ,instead of the Glass Screen these update's make your Battery so hot when in Charge Mode like the ios-1501 cannot handle an old handset....great video 100% true

I disagree. I have iPhone 6s Plus and currently running iOS 15 RC, and everything is smoother than iOS 14. I also changed my battery so maybe that's the reason why I got better performance. It's my opinion tho, I know we have different experiences.

I updated an old iphone 6s and iphone se first gen to ios 15, and its so much more smoother than ios 13 or 14 was for these older devices. Ridiculous how much smoother it is on the 6s. The update is worth it( well to me it is)

a newer upgrade is always a negative move, I know that everything has happened to some people after the upgrade, if you are on iOS 14, stay on that version of the software and always turn off the automatic software update so that it does not update automatically for you and there is no problem, this applies especially to older devices while it can only work on newer devices, for example, from 14.8 only up to 15.0, and this can be tolerated to some extent, because newer devices have a stronger processor and they can handle it, while on older devices, they can't because their processors are overloaded with newer software versions
cut the bullcrap..I'm on iPhone 7 plus and I feel the phone is running much smoother. yes you have to make a lot of turn off's because ios15 is a battery drainer and even on latest models it's better to turn off these features because they don't help much like analytics ..location info.. background refresh etc...so guys don't let him fool you..
I agree, instead of shooting his mouth of and telling us what to do, he needs to allow us to look at it ourselves. Instead of telling us what to do, he should tell us the different changes Apple has made with the updates. He should also talk about the new changes in iOS 15 and how to use them.

my son's iPhone 2020 SE can't even update.. it stuck on this one photo telling me to plug up to computer and go on a website for restore. Which I tried that for 3-6 times and still telling me to plug the phone to computer. iOS15 does not work on iPhone 2020 SE. So, I don't know about others. I just know about my son's phone.

It is normal, the phone does background stuff like indexing everything when going to a brand new IOS version. It will take a few hours up to a day.

@@Luke-hq5zd I have an iPhone 8 and iPhone se 2016. Both of them did chew up the battery for the first 24 hours pretty fast after the ios15 update. Now everything si back to normal.

Found my old iPhone 6s and I have to update to at least the 14 because it won't even let me download Netflix until I update. This is a pain
iam using iphone 6s+ the matter is not about iOS 15 being sloo or whatever, i did not see any changes actually in my iPhone , the new tips i recorgnise i thinks it is one or two .., no new features at all, i tried many time to press and hold hard on any photo to write something on but nothing., it is normal, earlier before updating i was much interested then i think it is good for nothing.

The “Flyover” feature on Apple’s maps app work. It doesn’t seem to have slowed down significantly. The battery is the same for me. It’s much worst than most since my battery’s health is 76%. I am probably gonna get it replaced. But might just purchase the 13 mini this Friday.

you need to update for security tho, software updates arent just about features and designs. u need to think about security issues that can be fixed with software updates
but since ios 14.8 Apple will develop security updates for both ios versions. In fact they say your iphone/ ipad is update. You also can download ios 15. It is the first time that happens but they will mantein both lines

1) Wipe the phone clear, reset it and delete all data back to factory fresh
2) then replace the battery to a brand new one

If its available to your phone then update it, if its not then dont. I update mine os 15 i think if its not aplicable for older version then why mine have? Why it is available for me? And i think its cooler.
I agree, why did we have these phones if we can't do anything with them. We would be back to phones from years ago when all you could do was call people. The phones we have today are much improved.
