The 6s lasted a long time and it was Okay that it didn't get IOS 16, but it's not great that the 7, which is a year newer, still got dropped at the same time as the 6s. It just shows hat Apple wants to drop more iPhones so that users are forced to upgrade more regularly.
That argument has never made any sense to me. If that’s really the case why not only support phones for 2-3 years
It's just a psychologic human thing that apple easily understood 😶
Unless you require a beefy smartphone for work or for silly tiktok dances I think these are the perfect minimalist phones for 90% of people. I think they both have minimum 2 more years of app support too.
I agree. All I really use my phone for is social media web browsing and watching videos and I’m perfectly fine with my 6s. Plus it’s really nice having the headphone jack since I don’t really care much for wireless headphones. I have an iPhone SE 3rd gen to use after my 6s. Apple still gives security updates for the 5S on iOS 12 so I think I’ll be good in that regard on the 6S and the app Support will probably be like 3 or 4 more years even then I’m fine with using some older versions of apps like I do on my 5s. Heck TikTok and stuff still supports iOS 10 and there’s still tons of apps that support iOS 12.
am using a iphone 7 ive just fitted a new battery a week ago its like new and ios 15.7
I am here sitting on SE 2016 and feeling pretty ok. Not snappy, not bad. For 70$ used phone totally worth the price.

Actually you’re wrong on some things because the phones are still supported by all modern apps and IOS 15 will still get security updates. Even iOS 12 is still supported by apple. So yeah no new features but you’re still going to get software, app and security updates. If you can find one of these phones for $100 or less I say it’s a good deal and it’ll work fine for at least 3 years minimum and more than likely longer.

they’re not even close to worth buying now unless it’s just calling and listening to music and media but other than that nah. Not even the x and imo the 11, unless your looking for a budget phone than there’s the se3/11/13mini/12mini
@@N0T_HIMI'm confused, could you help me better understand; if I buy an iPhone 6S/7 now (October of 2023) and update it, will everything work perfectly ? Will all the apps work and for years to come? I'm currently learning Japanese and there's a good Japanese dictionary app which is only available on iOS so I kinda want to buy a cheap iPhone so I can use the dictionary for the next 4-5 year's to come. I also plan to do some web browsing and social media like TH-cam. Will the 6S/7 allow me to do all of that? Thanks
@@adonbanchamek2254 if your looking for something long term for japanese i’d recommend something like the se2/mid range iphone because they can give u a better experience like battery life, chip, have better os, performance, and app compatibility
