He has a very rare talent, and he has put it to such good use. I remember the first time I watched a documentary he narrated- he was interviewing prisoners on death row. I was floored he could ask anything and everything- things most people would be afraid to ask, or not know how to ask. He spoke in such a respectful and forthright way, no one was offended, and always answered his questions- in full.
Truly a wise, insightful, compassionate man.

Child abuse is SO CRUEL and it lasts a LIFETIME. Kayley was attacked at 15 MONTHS and was still terrified 27 yrs later 💔 It just brought up a memory of me as a teen…I had been abused by my adoptive father for my whole childhood starting at around 4 and told around age 12… I developed an irrational fear of ALL bathroom windows at night after he was arrested, simply terrified he’d come get me for telling.
Even in another STATE, even knowing he was in PRISON I had a panic attack in the bathroom one night years later as my fears piled on together and the stress became too much. I had to talk myself down trying to use logic and rationalize. It was just too much as a child, the feelings were real regardless of what I knew. I hope Kayley can eventually find peace and heal, but I totally get why it’s so hard.

I do not believe that her fears are related to that incident. Kayley is clearly retarted and who knows what her brain imagined, after such a big deal has been made of it in front of her. 15 Months is much to young. Its not 4 or 12 where you have active memories. My condolences to your terrible experience. People can be monsters. 😢

The only reporter that, in my opinion, comes close to this style of reporting that you can watch in the US is Keith Morrison. He is brilliant, insightful and compassionate, but he doesn’t put up with nonsense or people trying to get one over on him. I love it when, during a Dateline episode, there is one of those “come now,” moments where he basically tells the criminal you don’t expect me to believe that, do you? He could read the New York City, since we’re talking about the US, phone book and I’d happily listen. They are both class. That’s all I can say. -Saoirse, West Belfast, NI

I will never understand Britain's policy on murderers and rapists. For these people to be eligible for parole after doing what they've done is disgusting. Why do they deserve human rights? Surely they gave that up the minute they took away the right of another to live.

The only plus here, is that in hospital she wil be much easier to get to. If she had done this to my child I would certainly be in prison and she would certainly be dead. How does she deserve treatment anyway? Can't she get an hour of therapy in prison? That she has to pay for herself? This is too easy and it pisses me off to no end. Normal, hardworking people don't get help like she does. Even the parents of the kids she killed have to pay for their own therapy. How dumb are these therapists???

Wonder what will happen??? If she's released, she may get the Mary Bell treatment; new identity. But she was always hunted and caught out. We have to let Karma work it's way. Thank you for knowing about her possible release date. The NHS is so dreadful l wouldn't put it past them to employ her again. Nursing is such an accessible subprofession and you don't need much in the way of qualifications. And like everybody's family, l have several nurses in it so l stand by it. You don't need to be bright, kind or very capable. And worst of all, they can't test you for evil. But these are the kind of jobs they go into. Thank you again for your information.

I thought the same thing. I think that her family‘s retelling of the story over the years is probably what scared her because I doubt she is actually afraid of the real woman, knows what she looks like, or is even aware of what happened at the time. I think she’s currently afraid based on what she grew up hearing about it.

@@blakejameson1114 It seems likely that Munchausen by Proxy is more prominent in women because in many societies women are typically pushed into certain roles, assumed to be great mothers or at least pressured to become or appear as one, as well as typically in serving positions such as being a nurse.
This ACCESS to victims is something most men who are predators simply don’t have, and because of the stereotypes of women being caretakers, people simply don’t suspect or refuse to believe when a woman starts killing off kids.

@@FingerBreakerWu That goes for all crimes really. We only ever catch, let alone convict only a fraction of the total murderers, robbers, vandals, rapists, etc.that there are. Munchausen Syndrome is rare, but they’re stories that the news are always quick to report on even if it happened in another country and there’s many people willing to re-tell the same story over and over again because there’s always new people who have never heard of this case who are willing to have it told as if it just happened. That doesn’t make it a common occurrence though.
