They had more than an hour to catch her killer. She had been reaching out to the police for help against the man who killed her for awhile.

Ah just do you know……before the cops can do anything something kinda ya know……HAS TO HAPPEN. The times he had contacted her there was no proof…..if he had even touched her they could’ve arrested him for assault…..
What exactly you think they were supposed to get him on and…..yea ….
Kinda silly if you don’t think stuff thru. Isn’t it? 🙄🤣
Also…..if a man wants you dead? Ain’t cops gonna stop him ain’t NOTHING stopping him….
Her days were marked….cuz guess what? HE WANTED TO KILL HER.
I’d know I lived it …..YEARS if abusive marriage then YEARS of being stalked …
Ended up running me over …..he’s in prison……but he’ll get out…..
If a guy is dead set on killing you, he’s GONNA do it.

Instead of a golden hour when it's too late to do anything there should have been a golden hour after the first phone call, when a man who already had a history of stalking was repeating that behaviour. Police need to see murder as the logical outcome of stalking, when perpetrators are taught that there are no consequences. Statistics across many countries, where women are murdered by controlling ex/partners show this to be a repeating pattern.

That’s one thing I really don’t understand at all. As evil as the lunatics in these cases are, you’d think they wouldn’t want to throw their own life away in the process. I guess they are so full of hate that they act impulsively. They’re blinded by bitterness and unable to see a life without being in the relationship they miss.
Lots of obsessive types out there. Such a huge difference between a healthy relationship and a controlling, suffocating type of relationship.
Very sad, and in this particular case with Alice Ruggles, abysmal policing. Truly terrible. She sounded so lost and disappointed during her second phone consultation with them, where she didn’t even have a specific officer on her case and it all seemed to be treated so casually. They should’ve given her adequate protection from the guy who was clearly obsessive and a threat.

The whole reason Alice broke up with him was he was cheating on her on Tinder! This pos cheats on Alice, gets caught, harasses the hell out of her (they barely touched on the stalker behaviors and the freaky messages), she begs police multiple times to help, not only do they not help, but they literally tell Harry she’s reported him which threatens some kind of security clearance he had, so they threw petrol on an already out of control fire and then they abandoned her. So because of his own actions, Harry decides to try and get Alice back one more time and with mere minutes to spare he slits her throat and escapes right before the flatmate returns home.
This case is sickening in so many ways and no matter how proud they are for solving the case that literally had a blood trail from victim to perp, Alice is dead due to their inaction in the first place.

I do not understand the British law enforcement rules at all!! They arrested her boyfriend, left him in the same clothes and shoes 👞 which are evidence in and of themselves. Then they put plastic bags on his hands at one police station only to take him to another station without the bags on before they finally got around to swabbing them and cutting his nails 😵‍💫! I didn’t even see them take photos of the scratch on his face, neck and perhaps his ear 👂!Then….most importantly, they only have 24 hours to investigate the evidence and charge him?! Wtf is that? 24 hours is not enough time to investigate a stolen piece of candy! If they couldn’t charge him, they would have had to let a murderer go! Why are the laws so crazy 😜 there? In the US he would rot in a jail cell until they built up a case against him. After that, he’d rot until trial without bail.

Why do these guys do this? What's the point? Someone doesn't like them anymore and they kill them for it? At most it might be a reason to be disappointed even broken hearted but how does killing them even enter the picture? Are they just brain deformed in some way?

We often raise our boys not to take “no” for an answer from a girl. He must’ve felt entitled to having Alice, and couldn’t comprehend her rejecting him.

The difference between a normal person when the girlfriend decides to end the relationship is to walk away, cry and then move on, the Psychopath cannot move on and then tries the nice flowers /chocolate way and if that does not work, hassling and if that does not work then the end result is no one is having you. Psychopaths have good careers and look intelligent and smart, not always what the media portrays in Films. Ted Bundy is a perfect example. I would always advise people to Google their full name and see what comes up. Might save your life.

When She called police saying he harass Her ,I think police didn't take that seriously ,it's not first time I watched crime like that
And I found strange that he didn't protest ,he didn't say nothing like he is innocent when police arrest him with suspect of murder ( what you talking about ,are you crazy ) like he knew
There was something about him that Alice didn't want to be with him anymore ,maybe he was possessive about Her ,jealous ,wants to monitor Her
Why people can't move on with life and can't take no for no ,when someone just don't want to be with them anymore
How quick life can change from love to hate

Police are supposed to protect and serve but they utterly failed to protect the young lady.. The police failed this young woman and her family. Situations like this should be questioned due to the lack of service the police were meant to do to prevent young girls being murdered by their ex partner in which he was reported to the police on many occasions. He should have got arrested as soon as he breached his conditions of staying away from his victim with zero contact.

  • @the_ravens_room

The glorification of police by police in this reenactment style documentary is nauseating. They act like they cracked the case when a 10 year old could have solved it with ease. I love how there's ZERO mention of the utter failures of the police force in protecting Alice following her numerous reports to police. Not the mention their many incompetencies. This video really irritates me.

Because he "just wants answers". Meaning he will never listen to a word his victim says, until it's the answer he wants. His frustration at not being able to win has no healthy outlet. It's not about him having one loving relationship with one loved partner, but him having power over as many women as possible.
