These trains do drive some of us crazy though, especially with how many problems they have. Also you caught one of the oldest ones in service, 4060-4064 and 4065-4069 are the first R211 sets built and that entered service! Great video!
Hi Phil, certainly an interesting train ride. Love the stand clear of the closing doors announcement. interesting how all the seats are set up looking into the carriage and no seats aiming in the direction of the train. I suppose that allows for more standing room at peak times. Anyway, all the best. Rob in Melbourne Australia.
The Rockaway line is one I'd love to do. Saw a real time cab ride of it years ago. It's certainly 'New York', but not always the side of New York we think about, or even know exists. The NY system is so vast and you can still see bits of ideas that Bradfield brought to Sydney. But I can't help thinking the Sydney system is now a so much more premium and nicer travel experience. Thanks for the clip.
