Such a surprise to see you in Finland, Kuga! I hope you enjoyed the ride, I work as a train driver over here and I'm very interested in Japan. Hoping to visit there soon! Let me know if you happen to be in Finland again and maybe I can show you what the "cockpit" of the train looks like! 😁
Hi Kuga, Thanks for your video of your Arctic Circle train trip. The food looked really tasty and I loved the scenery! Have a Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🥳! Best Wishes, Peter
All good wishes to you Kuga. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Amazing how fast time flies. I have enjoyed your Travelogs for several years now. From ferrys, planes, to trains. Where ever you are now, I hope you are having a lovely time..
Merry Christmas Kuga! I love your videos, and you are so respectful and honest with your on screen feedback! Please don't change anything and I hope to watch many more videos from you in 2025. Love from a NZ/Kiwi boy living in on Canada Thank you for taking us on your journeys. Dean xo
Wow, I never realized Finland had a Santa Claus village! Thank you also for sharing the train adventure with us. It's always interesting to see how the train cabins are set up, and having your own private bathroom is a 👍🏼. When I visit Finland, I will have a general understanding of train travel. Merry Christmas and happy holidays. 🎄🧧🎄🎆🎊
The city of Rovaniemi where Santas village is located receives tens of thousands of letters addressed to Santa every year. Even heard that some post offices around the world when they see a letter addressed to Santa in the mail, just automatically forward it to Rovaniemi's Santa village which is such a wholesome thing to do :)
Hi Kung Ia m from London enjoyed your this video of beautiful Finland and speacial journey of Saanta Claus Village. Never Heard and knew about this Santa Claus Express train and this Santa village. Very clean and wonderful country and well organised everything. You did wonderful video and capture every thing. Love to visit this country and village too. Loved it your funny comment when eating Rendiar burger. Today is 23.12.24 just 36 hr to Christmas so this time of year that must be very beautiful with lots of snow and and very busy beautiful Santa's village. Glade you shared this video.Merry Christmas will watch your other video.
I love your channel! Thank you for taking all these amazing trips. It's so interesting to see parts of the world many people never get to visit. Your commentary and observations are really funny too.
メリークリスマス、そして新年明けましておめでとうございます I don’t know any Japanese so, for the fun of it, I copied and pasted “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” above. Later I will try to learn how to speak it. This video was very enjoyable, especially because I’ve never been to Finland or even Europe and your train travel videos are entertaining. About 5 months ago I enjoyed viewing your NYC to SF Amtrak Sleeper Train video. I can no longer travel however your train trip videos are almost like being there. Like you, I’ve been to Fairbanks which is as far north as I’ve ever been or will ever go. I’m 80 and in June 1967 I drove to Alaska from St Paul MN with my wife and her parents. It was a nice vacation but the Alaska Highway was gravel and quite dusty back then. We returned via the ferry system from Haines to Prince Rupert to Vancouver Island and finally to the U.S. mainland. My wife and I had planned to take the Winnipeg to Churchill train but we never got around to it.
Train food is considered to be not so good and usually expensive, but there clearly has been some improvement in last decades. That meatball & potato mash portion is nice when traveling, and has been a classic for a long time.
This is sugoi sensei kuga san. The background xmas music was as i remembered played in your nihongo hinotori train video🚄 and this is the best way to travel, private room with bath and shower included no shower card needed. ✌️👍⛪️📿🤲🙏🇯🇵
Hello, Kuga! Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. I love learning about different cultures and I was surprised to learn that you didn't know that Santa Claus was married! Growing up in the US, Mrs. Claus was very much part of the Santa legend and she often appears in Christmas films, like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer!
The US (or Angloshpere?) tradition of Santa Claus is very weird. For one, it is a Catholic tradition imported into a Protestant culture. Two, Catholics celebrate Saint Nicholas (both as saint and as bringer of presents to children) on the day of that saint, 6 December, rather than on Christmas (Christmas presents, if at all, are supposed to be brought by Little Jesus or angels). Three, there is no story oh him ever having a wife. Fourth, he lived in Italy, no reindeer there.
@@Daneelro a lot of what we know as Christmas was taken from Pagan tradition in efforts to make conversion to Christianity a smoother transition. Jesus was not born in December, but Christmas coincides with Yule.
Gotta say, you kinda lucked out with the Santa Village timing: It's perfectly "just" off-season! Schools have already started over the country so majority of domestic tourism has died off but everything is still in the On-Season mode for the attractions! OFC the early day-time visit also makes a big difference. Overall I'm really glad that someone visited Rovaniemi/Santa Village during (late) summer, it's a certain kind of extra special experience even for Finns! :)
Hi Kuga, Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! I don't comment very often, but I want you to know that I love your channel! I'm very ill and bed bound. I'm tube fed and have an iv for fluids. Thanks to your channel, I'm able to "travel" and see places around the world I would never see. I love all the train journeys and your adventures! Thank you for another year of fantastic videos. And I can't wait to see your next videos. I know, making them cost a lot of money, time, and energy, but it's highly appreciated!❤ Sending love and holiday cheer from the Netherlands. 🎄🎅🏼🌟🇳🇱
Perfect Christmas and Happy New Year as always enjoy watching your tour of your beautiful travels on the train Kuga you have awesome New Month in the new year ❤❤
Helsinki is over 60 degree north! I am at 45 in Canada and the continental climate make my place much colder! I love the luminosity of Helsinki, the sun 15 degree lower make it quite dark in winter but so luminous in the summer.
Finland is such a nice country! I'll do this trip some day in the future as well. I live in Sweden so I don't have that long to go though Salmiak is very popular up here. In Gothenburg where I live, at least, there are three dedicated candy stores for salmiak candy 😂
I have never been to Finland before (but to Sweden twice, last year I have been in Stockholm for a few nights and very much enjoyed it). I hope to be there next winter. We wish to spend a few nights in Helsinki, than take that train to Rovaniemi, and spend 10 days in Finish Lappland, to enjoy hopefully a lot of snow, sauna, Aurora Borealis and a magical "winter wonderland". Merry xMas from Bern in Switzerland to you.
10:07 I have been here; this is crossing the E8 highway in Kemi. 10:24... and this is a much nicer place when viewed in the other direction: you're crossing the Kemijoki river on top of a dam. When I was there, it was by car (we went on to Kiruna, Sweden, where I changed to trains), and we stopped so that I could photograph a train like yours crossing, mirrored in the estuary.
We also have salmiak candy in The Netherlands. The flavor is unusual, but not bad. I love your videos, Kuga, and this is one more of your train journeys that I want to try myself!
Merry Christmas Everybody! 🎅🎄🎁For those who don't celebrate, hope you enjoy the day off! If no day off, have a nice day!
13:01 was the perfect time for a cameo. 😁📸
If i had kids i would have celebrated
Merry Christmas to you too. Love the videos from Alabama
Happy Holidays
