Subaru might actually build a few of these, unlike Ford. Seems Ford builds just enough Mavericks to get you to the lot so they can sell you a $75,000 F150...🙄🙄
Subaru doesn't have to worry about the Brat cutting into their highly profitable fullsize pickup sales.

Dodge, Toyota, and Subaru keep promising this compact pickup. I’ll believe it when I see it. I am very interested, but not hopeful.
Not really compact it’s a midsize with a smaller bed. The maverick is the same size as a Tacoma cabin , but with a smaller bed. Maverick bed size is 4ft 8 inches and the tacoma is 5ft-6ft bed. Many people just use the truck for a utility vehicle and don’t carry heavy loads.

Cvt will not buy.
Offer a manual option then I'll get excited. If I want a CVT, I'll drive a golf cart.
Michael: I take it by your comment that you are unfamiliar with CVT's?
If you weren't unfamiliar, you would probably know that CVT's were banned in F1 because they offered an unfair advantage to the teams using them.
Do you think that race teams that spend 100's on millions in research and development would proffer CVT's as a viable, technical and financial option, considering the amount of money that is at stake?
CVT's have been operating heavy industry machinery (Print Industry for one) for decades, not just in liccle golf carts!
Oh, dear Lord the hubris of the man!

I have owned 3 Subarus, all CVT's, the first I bought an old Forester to get to and from work in the winter, AWD being the best out there! The car was so good I bought a more salubrious version and loved it until a dotty old girl drove into the side of me at a roundabout, by now Foresters had changed to SUV's, so I went for an Outback preferring the shape but it also has CVT, Auto, Flappy Paddles (just like F1) Turbo'd Boxer engine, symmetrical AWD.
My wife's Lexus, is300 H, is a 2.5 petrol, self charging hybrid, with a CVT.
All of which are silky smooth, instant, no loss of power at gear change because there are no gears!
...and no I don't work for Subaru, hence my other post on stupid names for brilliant cars!
