  • All New $23K Subaru BRAT Features SHOCKED Everyone!
    -----------------------------
The compact pickup market was once thought to be dead, but Ford's launch of the Maverick revived it. Now, other companies like Ram, Toyota, and Subaru are looking to capitalize on this opportunity and introduce their own versions of compact pickups. This is a really good news for us, as competition often leads to innovation. And that is exactly what happened here, Subaru has made every decision regarding the new Brat with the intention of appealing to their own unique demographic. Rather than trying to beat or even compete with the Maverick, Subaru aims to offer a different kind of truck to a market with different needs and priorities. So let’s just jump right into it, here is what the new surprising features of the Brat will be like.

      That’s 2 questions.
I think the Brat would be a good competitor against the Maverick IF Subaru would offer an extra cab with a 6’ bed and the Toyota Hybrid system, as well as REAL GASKETS in the Engines, instead of the SHITTY SILICONE GASKETS !!!
Subaru has proven to be a POS vehicle with the Best AWD system in the world , but EVERYTHING Else is SUBPAR.

The newest Tacoma won’t last as long as the naturally aspirated engine.
Toyota has now gotten GREEDY and has said BEND OVER WORLD, as we are going to F*CK YOU, like Everyone else does !!!

If it were offered with a manual option, I'd studied consider buying one.

Looks and sounds great -- BUT; CVT will be it's Downfall. They should have made it with a stepped automatic. Also; here in Downuda, they better offer a 2.2 DOHC Turbo Diesel.

We own a 11 Ford Ranger XLT 4WD super cab pickup. It has a 4.0L V6 engine with a 5spd geared automatic transmission, limited slip differential, tow pkg, super engine cooling, 3.55 rear differential.
Before adding the K&N intake and a 3” FlawMaster exhaust system we were getting 19mpg with the cruise set on 75mph on the freeway. We now get 23mpg.
We Hate Silver, Grey and Black.
Our Ranger happened to be Silver so I had it 2 toned. It’s now factory Silver over Red metallic.
We Hated the grey and black interior so I had it reupholstered in Red with black trim and stitching.
I added custom pinstripes, wheels, running boards, a LineX spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, window vents, rear air shocks, etc.
The original owner was 62 years old when he bought it new.
We bought it in 19 and it had only 20K miles. It now has only 36K miles.
This is our 4th Ranger. The 11 and older Ranger’s were durable and reliable.
In 2020 the factory tires needed to be replaced so we put Cooper Discoverer A/T tires on it.
Though we’ve never driven it for serious off roading, it still has skid plates.
It’s mainly used for work around our property. We work the truck but don’t abuse it.
If Subaru, Toyota or Mazda would make a pickup like the Maverick in a regular or extra cab with a 6’ bed, AWD Hybrid, then we would sell our beautiful Ranger and buy another pickup (like the Maverick). But instead of it being used mainly for work around our property, it would also be used as a daily driver.
We’d sell my wife’s Outback and she could start driving my Forester Touring as her commuter vehicle.
Both of our Subaru’s are 2019 year models. Her Outback has 30K miles and my Forester has only 13K miles.
BUT, if we can’t get a small pickup with a 6’ bed, AWD, Hybrid, we’ll simply keep driving what we have now.

Without improving gas mileage there is zero reason to choose a smaller truck.

I'm all in . 100% I'll preorder one . But it has to fit a 6'5 260 man. And it has to be in either Yellow or Orange. We've always had a Subaru. For the last 25 years we've always had one. They are without question the most dependable reliable car we have ever owned. And snow and bad weather have never stopped us. We live way out in the sticks. And both our jobs demand we be there no matter what the weather. So she drives the 2023 Outback and I drive a 2021 Grand Jeep Cherokee. Both are monsters. Peace.

I LOVE the Brown interior. Hopefully it’ll be offered in lower trim levels as well.
The ONLY reason why I bought the Touring model in my Forester was to get the Saddle Brown interior.
If the Ivory interior would have been available in the Forester Limited (like my wife’s Outback) then I would have bought a Limited instead.
It’s pretty shitty when you have to buy the top trim model just to get another color besides gloomy, depressing, drab, outdated, boring Grey or Black interior colors that became popular in the last millennium.

With fuel prices continuing to go up and up and up, I think not including a hybrid option like Ford and Toyota is a huge mistake. Swing and a miss, Subaru.

If we can get the new Brat extra cab with a 6’ bed in a Hybrid with Brown leather interior, we’ll buy one.
The same goes for the Toyota Stout.
We currently own an Outback and Forester, but if Toyota makes a Stout with an extra cab, AWD Hybrid and a 6’ bed, we’ll buy the Toyota over the Brat any day. Toyota simply makes a better vehicle than Subaru, but Subaru has a superior AWD system.

15k or less is the new standard. make it to sell for 15k or less or you lose. gm, ford, toyota have 15k pickups coming . wana beat them? go less. small truck, small price

There is no way Subaru will make a truck their cheapest starting prince in their lineup. Depending on the actual size. If its bigger than the Ascent it will be more expensive.

Whenever we buy a Domestic vehicle it’s always a Ford.
We’d buy a Maverick but their too dang UNRELIABLE. The new Ranger’s are Overpriced and the turbo engines are junk. Furthermore you can’t get a double cab with a 6’ bed in a Ranger, so the Ford Ranger is Out.
If buying a midsize pickup we’d buy the Tacoma, but for the 24 year model, they don’t have a naturally aspirated engine that is a Hybrid, so that’s out as well.
The CVT in the Subaru isn’t strong enough for what a pickup needs and Subaru HATES the planet because they refuse to build a Hybrid.

No idea if a CVT will be reliable for a truck that routinely tows. I do know not all CVTs are made equally and some are outright garbage. The Subaru car I own is the best and most comfortable one for long trips, durability (was t-boned by a drunk in a Ford Expedition and the frame didn't bend) and maneuverability. Gas prices are ridiculously manipulated by foreign nations, our own government (USA) and global authoritarians with no allegiance to any country. The only worse option is being forced into mandated battery vehicles requiring frequent. Long charges from "smart grids" that are woefully inadequate NOW to handle peak usage. Until and unless we get new and CHEAP energy a politician can't snap his fingers and cut off, I'm staying with ICE as long as there's parts to fix them.
